I for one am tired of playing with complicated receivers. Anyone that wants to use the system has to be trained and frankly it’s very frustrating in the end. Just one mans’ opinion

If a person wants full surround sound, of course receiver is needed.

Can you have ceiling speakers (2) and a soundbar only without a receiver?? That would be ideal!!

I use a pristine condition Bose AM-7 with a high end receiver in the bedroom for TV/movies.
Better than any soundbar that I have tried. The sub is passive so the bass level is perfect not overwhelming.

A receiver is like the heart of the system. A Surround Sound System without a receiver is like getting an artificial heart transplant pumping sound to the speakers but it’s just not the same.

You need to have a receiver if you want quality sound… Soundbars etc do not cut it!! Too many people cheaping out on lazy inferior systems.

I have ceiling speakers but no receiver. How can I input the tv /fire tv /cable TV into this system without a receiver.

  23. Ernj C on March 9, 2021 at 1:53 am

the price for a reciever and a cheap 5.1 speaker system can be bought for less than one of these sound bar systems hes mentioning and will blow away any soundbar thats available..its simple to set up..left goes to left speaker..right goes to right speaker..center goes to center..sl is surround left..sr is surround right and subwoofer goes to subwoofer.
