   Unfortunately it’s not getting any MIUI or Android updates anymore. It’s last compatible update is Android 8. Not worth it. 🙁

   After one year my Mi Pad 4 has battery issues. The battery seems to hold a full charge as I am able to operate the tablet for 8 hours in a programming mode; if I first power it with the charger. The tablet just won’t power up into the Android OS and then remain operating without the charger attached; when operating the battery charge level is correctly indicated.

    You forgot to mention that Xiaomi has ended support for this tablet and it won’t be updated past Android 8.1 and is not going to get any future version of MIUI. If you are happy to be stuck with a 2 year old operating system with no hope for an upgrade then its still a great buy. If you want any futureproofing its not worth it.

    why it has a home button? I thought only the plus version has one. Mine Mi Pad 4 has none..

    Best tablet, still fast, same battery time like first day. Its amazing, the only bad thing are the black bars when you are watching movies. It doesnt fit 16:9

    I got mine in November, it is so awesome for gaming due to it’s big 10" screen, and all the mobages I play run really smoothly. I just hope that Apex Legends gets ported to mobiles, it’ll impressive!!!!

    Help. I have "Mi Pad 4" using Android 8 with a battery issue. In "Fast Boot Mode" I am able to operate the tablet for 12 hours from the battery. In normal Android operating mode the tablet must be attached to the charger or it immediately shuts off; rarely it takes up to 6 seconds to suddenly shut off (as if it takes a moment to notice the charger was detached). In normal Android operating mode the charge indicator does seem to correctly indicate the state of the battery’s charge. I’m able to achieve various levels of battery discharge using "Fast Boot Mode" and check the battery level by turning off while letting the charger charge the battery a moment so that the screen will display the battery charge level.

    Factory reset has no effect.

    Why would Android want to prevent power-up from battery with a 100% charge OR turn off with a fully charged battery when the charger is removed? After all, the battery does operate the tablet for 12 hours in "fast boot mode".
