I purchased this refrigerator on June 2016 . The compressor just died
On me about 2 weeks still waiting for lg technicians to come and fix it.. im very disappointed wth lg refrigerators .. i was hopping to get at lest 5 years.. since thats how long appliances last now days..

For the freezer, how long it takes for it to become cold? Btw…I am one of those idiots who plugged it in the moment it arrived. I just got it today. The freezer is not frozen and I looked on the manual to find something only thing I found was 0 degrees c or f. I’m not sure if I should turn it up to 3 or -3.

Hello! Any tips on how to fix a stuck pull out drawer from the freezer? It won’t slide out when the freezer is opened and it is stuck so bad that it feels that with a hard pull or pull something will break.

My parents got a kenmore refrigerator which is a rebadged LG from 2013. Only had 2 minor repairs. Runs like a champ. LG appliances are better than a Samsung refrigerator. However I would rather have a kitchenaid or a whirlpool fridge.

Instead of replacing the ice bin cant you put stuff in the bin as well? it doesn’t have to be ice….also does this one have an alarm if the door is open ajar or for to long?

My new LG refrigerator gurgles like crazy–and makes several other strange noises. And twice so far when I opened the door when it was gurgling the freaking thing powered itself off and back on. And since the ice cube maker is not connected and I verified it is switched off it is not the ice cube maker making the noises. I’m and older guy and all my other refrigerators never made all these crazy noises or randomly powered themselves off/on. I am beginning to get a bad feeling that my LG refrigerator is a lemon. I’m now worried–I better not have just paid $1400 for a piece of junk!

Thanks for the video. I have this question. Will any French door refrig fit in an opening that is width 39 in, height 68 in, depth 32 1/2 in.. I can remove the cabinet above the current opening to take care of a 70 inch. But what about when the door is open at 90°? Will it fit within the 39" opening?

Our LG refrigerator broke after only several years. Bad compressor. The guy who came to repair it said that LG knowingly sold a complete series of refrigerators over a period of three or four years that had bad compressors. We also had issues with our LG gas stove. In fact, of all of our LG appliances, we’ve only had decent performance from the microwave.

Buy an LG only if you love the sound of annoying door alarms going off even when the door is closed. Only solution we have found that works is to whack the side of the fridge, which shuts it off…
