Why You Should Wait To Buy A New TV | Best 2020 TVs

***Updated*** Best TV’s of 2020 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUT_PgRjnHE

I don’t think I have said anything like this in the last ten years, but you might want to wait for a few months to buy a new TV. The TVs coming in for 2020 are legitimately more advanced than most of what we saw in 2019, plus there are several other worthwhile considerations. Hold on to your wallet and see why I think you should hold off on a TV purchase if you can.

Not convinced and already have an OLED in the bedroom…

  2. RR Film Production on December 23, 2020 at 12:06 am

Thanks for the review. What’s your thought about the LG Nano Cell99 series 2020 75 8K smart TV? Is that better or OLED? Also what about the LG Nanocell 90 2020 86" 4k smart UHD tv? I am considering getting both, but is it future proof? Thanks for your time.

  3. Jess Cuz on December 23, 2020 at 12:06 am

    Him saying clutch was weird

  4. China Lad on December 23, 2020 at 12:06 am

My 85” tv cost £43500. £3500 for the tv and rest for the rest for the living room extension😂🤣🧐

  5. Seth Peterson on December 23, 2020 at 12:06 am

It’s december 2020 and I’m going to hold out until the damn Micro-Led TVs finally freaking come out…
Plus I already have a Q9fn so I’m pretty up to date anyway.

  6. Dhãmű Řøýäl on December 23, 2020 at 12:11 am

    I planed to buy samsung q70r 65inch

  7. ginsengjin on December 23, 2020 at 12:13 am

None of these are waiting for…. Buy a used TV if you need one. TVs are getting ridiculously cheap and people are selling their old ones for fraction of the price.

  8. H G on December 23, 2020 at 12:13 am

Don’t think so!!!!!!! They will just stop producing LCD that’s what going to happen soon. Not getting cheaper

  9. james cook on December 23, 2020 at 12:14 am

Are those tv’s available now? If yes, which ones are they?

  10. Microage on December 23, 2020 at 12:15 am

YOU GET A BETTER EXPERIENCE WITH A TV THAN A HIGH END GAMING MONITOR?!?!?!?! WHAT? xD This guy ain’t knowing shit oof…

  11. Ocansey Philip on December 23, 2020 at 12:15 am

  12. Jaime on December 23, 2020 at 12:16 am

    i loath your background music

  13. ballstein30 on December 23, 2020 at 12:17 am

i’ll wait then. More time to save for a better tv.

  14. Tom C on December 23, 2020 at 12:17 am

  15. JDAGREEK on December 23, 2020 at 12:18 am

  16. Robert Davis on December 23, 2020 at 12:20 am

Just watched your video on waiting for the new models to come out and my question is when is that going to happen???

  17. Keiji Johnson on December 23, 2020 at 12:22 am

2:25 – 2:27 Why even keep this part in the video?😑

  18. Kurt Lechner on December 23, 2020 at 12:24 am

Buy a TV quickly this year, because next year the technology will get worse, the image resolution will decrease and the built-in processors will slow down.

  19. Tourism on December 23, 2020 at 12:24 am

    good

  20. xermoda on December 23, 2020 at 12:26 am

    Are we there yet?

  21. SF Videos on December 23, 2020 at 12:26 am

The main reason I’m waiting is because it’s ALL SO CONFUSING!!!
Was it like this 14 yrs. ago when I bought the CRT I’m still using?

  22. SpaceNoodles on December 23, 2020 at 12:29 am

    I bought the LG B9 last year in November. I wished I waited… I don’t think it’ll do 4K 120hz HDR… :/

  23. Isack Hernandez on December 23, 2020 at 12:30 am

    I want AMOLED SAMSUNG TV

  24. Sayooj Thandasherry on December 23, 2020 at 12:30 am

Is this waiting period over( though we have one more month left in this year 🙂 )? or are we expecting more to come this year. LG CX and SONY A8H, A9G are already there, what are your thoughts ?

  25. MichaelW1980 on December 23, 2020 at 12:33 am

Why should any of the HDMI 2.1 features future proof your TV? VRR for gamers probably is nice to have, but everything else either isn’t HDMI 2.1 specific (like eARC, which can running perfectly fine with HDMI 2.0 connections if there is a firmware upgrade) or simply nothing that would break a deal for most gamers.

  26. D M on December 23, 2020 at 12:33 am

LOL. My son was working on a table close by. He dang near knocked over the chair and table to get to me when he heard you say, "Would only really be of interest to gamers…" Suddenly, I am the cool parent, sitting here trying to keep up with Television Technology!!! Look at me talking all Technology…OLEDS, ALLM, HDMI 2.1. LOL He just knows that it takes me 6 months to make a decision about things like buying a television but he likes where this research seems to be going. It is Nov. 2020, so I guess I am about to find out if these new options are now available. Thanks so much for your Channel. It’s full of really great information.

  27. nick Larsen on December 23, 2020 at 12:38 am

considering gettinga LG CX 55". everything thing looks perfect with 2x hdmi 2.1 ports, but one single thing might destroy my hunger for it and just get a qled; that is the "burn in" issue. I want to play a game for 12 hours straight one day, if thats what I want. or maybe 5 hours another day, or 1 hour the next day – without having to worry about burn in

  28. Scott on December 23, 2020 at 12:39 am

    I have a 19 inch black and white tv… and I"m still waiting…

  29. Stanislav Sidorovich on December 23, 2020 at 12:39 am

In reality Samsung’s TVs came out worse than previous, with lower brightness, and screen refresh rates

  30. joe domingos on December 23, 2020 at 12:42 am

I am getting a TCL 8 SERIES SOON!

  31. RG Geiger /LoopZine tv on December 23, 2020 at 12:45 am

So he says wait till later in 2020. It’s October. My choice will depend on the user interface. Firetv os is what I use now. There’s Roku TVs os and I’m getting Google tv on a chromecast replacement. I’ll see how that works out. My next tv depends on user interface, period. Dongles is a good way to taste a user interface without paying for a tv and getting locked into a os which may not be what your looking for.

  32. DSK on December 23, 2020 at 12:45 am

i am buying my first tv lg cx 77 inch ,never owned a tv till now

  33. erbrooks on December 23, 2020 at 12:46 am

I waited but not sure if mine has the humidity 2.0 😭 it didn’t come yet. Got samsung q90t

  34. Feras Katoouri on December 23, 2020 at 12:46 am

Hello, I own a Samsung Q80R Tv, the Middle East version, which comes with an excellent box and screen, but my question is, I want to buy a PlayStation 5. Do you recommend buying a new Tv and not keeping the same screen that I have? Thank you very much.

  35. John Beaker on December 23, 2020 at 12:47 am

This Joker really thinks that a TV can beat a monitor for input lag.

  36. MySpankster on December 23, 2020 at 12:47 am

    i waited….so just ordered my Q90T in 85 inch….excited to get it….cheers all

  37. Shawn Warnick on December 23, 2020 at 12:48 am

Tv tech is way more advanced than any media you can get so its pretty much pointless to get a top of the line tv nowadays. Really if you are looking at a modern tv you should look at reliability so when the tech of everything else catches up your tv isnt obsolete.

  38. Allien Maryam on December 23, 2020 at 12:50 am

  40. Kurt W on December 23, 2020 at 12:52 am

He’s correct 100% this was 8+ months ago 👍 good video Sir 🍻

  41. Stephen Bourque on December 23, 2020 at 12:53 am

Live tv is still broadcasting hd. There is no point in getting an 8k TV now there’s very little 4k content. Virtually no 8k

  42. BMG91 on December 23, 2020 at 12:54 am

My LG OLED B7 got a bad panel, luckily LG will do a courtesy repair. I’m planning on selling it after & upgrade to the CX series.

  43. Andrés Vázquez-Prada on December 23, 2020 at 12:54 am

Hi Caleb how long would you say is good before upgrading a tv. I have a 2018 lg e8

  44. Peter Martinaitis on December 23, 2020 at 12:54 am

No problem with the TV’s the problem is they are out pacing the TV industry. We already have 8k TV’s and yet the majority of TV programmes transmitted are not even 4k.

  45. DETERMINOLOGY on December 23, 2020 at 12:58 am

IF I was to buy any tv for now it would be the LG CX if I’m looking for the best. Hard to beat oled and if it was for next gen gaming most def the CX

  46. Anton Floor on December 23, 2020 at 12:58 am

Why don’t you review the 8K OLED nano cell from LG?

  47. Top Gunna on December 23, 2020 at 1:01 am

There will always be a better TV no matter what they come out with they will never be future proof, buy now if you want one

  48. DreamingforPeace on December 23, 2020 at 1:02 am

QNED, QD-OLED that’s what I will wait for.

  49. Vanquish Audio on December 23, 2020 at 1:02 am

My CX sounds like it’s got everything still coming up

  50. TRICK-OR TREAT on December 23, 2020 at 1:02 am

IT’S THE HIGHLY REFLECTIVE CHEAP HIGH GLOSS PLASTIC SCREENS THAT DESTROY THE PICTURE. WHO WANTS TO SEE A REFLECTION OF THE ROOM YOUR IN ? ALL THESE CHEAP T.V.’S ARE JUST THAT. CHEAP PIECES OF SHIT.
