How long do you think a good 1000 pound laptop will be able to run new aaa games coming out at 60 fps? Wondering if splashing big will mean I’ll just have to get another one in another years time

Hi Chaps! What would be your DREAM spec Gaming Laptop?

    UPDATE: @1:18 I meant to say BOTH the RTX 20 & 30-series support RT/DLSS – it’s the GTX 1650/1660 that don’t! 🙂

  14. SMC Jebat_87 on October 26, 2021 at 9:44 am

Jesse Pinkman stop fooling around and leave those laptops!

  18. John Smith on October 26, 2021 at 9:49 am

One thing with Razer laptops for anyone considering to get one is that your SSD might shit itself within the first year, the left fan (When The Laptop is facedown) will more than likely die after 2 years, and battery becomes inflated from the heat it produces. Other than that it’s alright

  19. Bublygum on October 26, 2021 at 9:51 am

    "…something older like a 2060, 2070 GTX G card" … and I’m still with a 1660 ti …. I’m way "old" then hahaha

  23. Monkey D. Luffy on October 26, 2021 at 9:53 am

Saw this after I bought my Nitro 5 2020 2 weeks ago :((, for $950, but still worth it I guess

  24. HitMan on October 26, 2021 at 9:54 am

One suggestion, don’t purchase intel 11th gen based gaming laptops, these machines always throttle above 90° Celcius and give a lower tier performance. Not too many good options with 5800H but still AMD chips are the way to go

  25. Lau Hern Sean on October 26, 2021 at 9:55 am

TBH i think the gamery intense look of a "gaming" laptop is super ugly and cringe. They should design in like a normal business laptop without those red sharp lines

Thank You So Much For This Amazing Review

  32. LAWSO OFFICIAL on October 26, 2021 at 10:01 am

I don’t need to worry about graphics as will only be using for music production, can you recommend an older gen laptop that’s really good performance wise that I could pick up cheaper now, looking at one under $1500

  33. Glaxous Zanofi on October 26, 2021 at 10:01 am

What I learned in this video

Desktop Gpus are around 20% faster than Laptop counterparts

GPU watts (TDP) is important to know to avoid being disappointed on a possible laptop underperformance. Sometimes this type of information tends to be hidden or unmentioned.
Example: 3080(80 watts) would perform less than 3070(150 watts)

Screen refresh rate is important: The extra fps your gpu pumps are pointless if you’re stuck with 60hz screen.

Laptop size is also a factor: Bigger means more space for cooling system which means the laptop will tend to be more capable of housing a gpu/cpu with more watts which means more power. But bulkier also means harder to carry.

Lastly it all comes down to your needs. You can play most game titles in a midrange gpu and cpu with 144hz, but if you want to play minesweeper in ultra settings and ray tracing enabled, you may want to consider going for a maxed spec budget range

    Pounds?

  35. Sylvain Mino on October 26, 2021 at 10:08 am

Should really do performance review, heat issues, noise from fans while playing. I have seen rtx3070 Alienware laptop overheat and shutdown playing siège after 20min.

  36. Allen Yu on October 26, 2021 at 10:11 am

    Genuine vs fake

  44. Ramez Nadem on October 26, 2021 at 10:24 am

Fantastic video. Really well thought out. Thanks

  45. Randall Simonsen on October 26, 2021 at 10:26 am

4k at 17 inches and down is absurd, say so. You have to pay to drive it, same with high refresh rates, all of the goodness is 100 and below. GO ahead and run 4k at 144 and tell how long the battery lasted. You are a shill pushing pointless goodies, not a gamer. You need 4 cores and 1660 at about 75 hz. at 1080. Oh you may want more, but need is totally different. Go to steam and check average machine game specs. Not worth listening to.Bad advise for anyone on a budget. Will ignore future work.

  46. MrHousecup on October 26, 2021 at 10:28 am

  47. Mark on October 26, 2021 at 10:28 am
