Welcome to Power Ranking, a show where YOU the fans get to vote on your favorite things in video games, movies, TV and whatever else the internet is excited about. With the Xbox Series X release just a couple of months away in November, we wanted to look back at the library of Xbox One games and see what your favorite Xbox One exclusives were! We got a ton of responses, but there were 5 Xbox One exclusives in particular that stood above the rest. From Gears 5 to Sunset Overdrive, which Xbox One exclusive took the top spot?     Insomniac (and now Sony) owns and owned the IP for Sunset Overdrive, which is why it was a Microsoft exclusive. Sony wouldn’t publish it without rights to the IP at the time. So now Sony owns Insomniac and the IP to Sunset Overdrive, and Microsoft gave them the publishing rights soon after the acquisition.

    Wowww IGN you should really call these Microsoft exclusives because you can play basically all of them on PC! Not Xbox exclusives!!

    CORRECTION: โ€‹Sony owns the "Sunset Overdrive" IP now. Microsoft does not anymore.

    Not an xbox gamer, and I do not own the current gen. But given that I only know about 6 exclusives that actually exist on the platform. Probably… Sunset overdrive, Halo something, Gears 5, Ori and the blind forest, and Forza.

    Edit: Sea of Thieves? I’m biased as I think all MMO’s are really bad games but hey to each their own. Ori should have been on here though. That game looks genuinely brilliant.

    Microsoft doesn’t own the Sunset Overdrive IP.
    The REASON why it’s only on Xbox is BECAUSE Insomniac wanted to keep their own properties.

    I think the only real xbox one exclusive is halo 5 unless that’s on pc now too
    (Also forza games but I don’t know about those)
