    Hi there,

I was looking to purchase some home audio equipment including a sound bar, speakers for tv, WiFi speakers for music.

I had a couple of questions to get your expert opinion on these purchases.

Which brand do you see being the best in the future in terms of quality, upgrades and longevity for the items I mentioned?

Currently which company has the best products for the items I listed above?

Should I bother purchasing home audio equipment now, or do you think the trend will die down in the next few years?

    Thank you very much,

    Jay

It would be helpful if limitations or cons of each system were discussed (e.g. using the Sonos system with a TV that does not support dolby passthrough).

Sound. Bars. Are. Not. Real. Home. Theater. Systems. You can create a proper 7.2 or even 7.2.2 for less than the first one. Possibly even a 9.2 for less. $1400 is ridiculous for a sound bar system, even like that. I mean I guess it makes sense if you’re in a small space, but at that point just buy smaller proper speakers. Or opt for a smaller sound bar system. I’m assuming you probably don’t even need all of that tech if you’re in a small space.
