FF7 is overrated. Idk if id have 9 above it but I do think that FF8 is the best. FF7 was clunky and super slow. The random battles got super annoying and the level up system wasnt as in depth as 8🤷🏻♂️. Great story but thats not enough for me to play a game. If I want a good story, Ill watch a movie.

You were right about not many people having p.c in the 90s. Was born in 91 and I remember by 97, 98, only rich people had decent computers and internet. Only time I got to even see what the internet was all about was when I’d go to a buddy’s house.

I went into a shop by myself to buy ff8 when I was 11 and the clerk told me he wouldn’t allow me to buy it and he was doing me a favor because it was a betrayal to ff7. I came back the next day with my dad and he told the guy I could make up my own opinions about things.
It’s still my favorite one to this day with ff9 being a close second. People have been defensive about 7 since the day it released and will remain that way forever.
