Great video as always! but I would like to suggest for a tutorial like this one change the scale of the OS at least to 150%, would be easy to watch and read from a small screen like phones.

  2. Planet Nine on June 19, 2022 at 11:28 pm

Awesome video, I used KeePass for years and I did not know about KeePassXC. Thanks for sharing.

That alt tab paste tip is gold! Thank you!

  6. Sean on June 19, 2022 at 11:35 pm

Assuming a good password is the Database file safe to put on Google Drive for instance? Would you feel comfortable putting a crypto seed phrase inside the database etc?

As it is offline any attackers would have time to hack it. I know it would take centuries if it a good password though right?

  7. Aditya Joshi on June 19, 2022 at 11:37 pm

    Thank you sir.

Thx for the video, how about one how to export lastpass into keypass? That would be great

  12. Imagine My Shock on June 19, 2022 at 11:43 pm

To me the most obvious improvement that keepass and keepassxc could implement would be the ability to [after having already opened the keepass master password] right click on any web page username box, it would pop up the keepass stored username, left click the right choice and it would paste the username into place. The same goes for pasting in the password and any other authentication measures that exist. The idea would be to remove the need to keep clicking backwards and forwards between screens to log into an account.

I’m not a computer n00bie, but even I appreciate a good tutorial like this. What helps is it makes setup so much quicker and easier because if there are any settings that need immediate configuration, tutorials help set them straight. The best part was the password auto-entry feature. I’ll definitely be using that!

  14. clickallnight on June 19, 2022 at 11:43 pm

Watched this hoping to see browser extensions, who makes them and if they work well

  15. Ronald Langaitis on June 19, 2022 at 11:44 pm

Hello, thank you for a great video. Just wondering if KeePass can be synchronized with the KeePass application for Android? Thank you.

  16. Rancid Beef on June 19, 2022 at 11:45 pm

I just started using KeePassXC (I only use Linux). I use Syncthing to copy the database to other computers I use, including my PinePhone and a "degoogled" Cylix phone.

  17. Zlatan Bodurov on June 19, 2022 at 11:48 pm

  18. Stein Mauer on June 19, 2022 at 11:48 pm

Calling this the "ultimate guide" is a bit of a stretch
But this was a great introduction nonetheless

  19. mistie710 on June 19, 2022 at 11:49 pm

Sorry, though I can agree that using some of the options can be a little confusing, KeePass always struck me as a pretty straightforward tool. I’ve used it on Windows, on Linux and on Android and it has never failed me yet.

  20. Boris M on June 19, 2022 at 11:49 pm

  25. Nahnahbeth R on June 19, 2022 at 11:56 pm

So is keepass not a good option for MAC or iOS users?

  26. Redback on June 19, 2022 at 11:56 pm

The only problem with videos like this, the viewer can hardly see the details of what the presenter is trying to show, given the details are so small it can be hard to follow, I’m not going to strain my eyes for a headache. I was looking forward to watching after a minute of watching on a desktop I gave up.

  27. Miltonx CLASH on June 19, 2022 at 11:56 pm

I just found out about it and i’m loving it.

  28. MacSources on June 19, 2022 at 11:57 pm

What do you think about Passwarden from KeepSolid?

  29. Dan Brown on June 19, 2022 at 11:58 pm

There’s also an auto save on exit function

  30. Timo Carlier on June 19, 2022 at 11:59 pm

Thanks for the video. Which of the Android Keepass apps would you recommend, if any?

  31. Marcus Cooper on June 20, 2022 at 12:00 am

Everyone should use this. Unfortunately my SO is scared off by anything that’s more complex then what comes preinstalled, and looks at my advice as if you must be a tech wizard to care about privacy/security.

  32. Tyler Turnquist on June 20, 2022 at 12:00 am

    Can you import from bitwarden?

  33. Ken Anderson on June 20, 2022 at 12:01 am

Too much mucking around with open source software, It is good for people who like playing with the apps. Not good for people who want to use apps for productivity or general internet use. There are much simpler and free password managers.

  34. info nothing on June 20, 2022 at 12:01 am

You will lose your data without enabling trigers in keepass

  35. U2ooBrules on June 20, 2022 at 12:02 am

Great overview, thank you for the upload

  36. Neural Synapse on June 20, 2022 at 12:03 am

  39. Jokel on June 20, 2022 at 12:08 am

Can I move my database from another password manager?

  40. Almoe Mason on June 20, 2022 at 12:09 am

7:32 I am old, so I have printed this out and keep it in my safety deposit box. When I die my Personal Representive will get it along with my other documents

  41. Dno Od Spodu on June 20, 2022 at 12:09 am

12:57 – that is how long I had to wait for the info to show up that I was after

  42. Faris Al-Salihi on June 20, 2022 at 12:10 am

Terrible video. The left side of your video screen does not show. You have skimmed over so many important parts that your video is rendered useless. Work harder to improve your videos. BTW Don’t called ultimate.

  43. Alex on June 20, 2022 at 12:11 am

This video is perfect, thank you!

  44. ValleyDog on June 20, 2022 at 12:13 am

    bitwarden or keepass?

  45. Holger Scholz on June 20, 2022 at 12:14 am

really ?!?!? THE ULTIMATE Guide??? Sorr, but no. that is beginner level and not ultimate.

I was looking for a good password manager and i think it would be a good option

  47. V G on June 20, 2022 at 12:19 am

putting passwords in the clipboard is a no no

  48. josiah harder on June 20, 2022 at 12:21 am

Is there any way to have it autofill? Or any other password manager that will allow you to sync between devices and both store your passwords offline?

  49. Celia Cartell on June 20, 2022 at 12:22 am

Can you download this on your phone or iPad?

  50. Darrell on June 20, 2022 at 12:23 am

Use "ctrl alt a" to auto fill. Setup auto-fill instructions in AUTO-TYPE tab. Generally "inherit default Auto-Type sequence from the group" which is {USERNAME}{TAB}{PASSWORD}{ENTER}. However, you can specify your own instructions by selecting "Use custom Auto-Type sequence.
