I own one of these, working on getting a second, and I also own a Sony gtk xb90, which some people say has "more" bass than the JBL partybox 300, but let me tell you…..after hearing the Altec first….the Sony sound flat asf lol, you can hardly even tell there’s bass there, the Altec is a true party speaker while the JBL and Sony sound like those cheap radios that mom’s will turn on while cooking (you’ll relate if you’re Latino/a)
Is this better than PA speakers for the same price?
Sup Floss, do you have a review on some back yard 12s or 15s" rechargeable battery type speakers? I’m on the hunt for one now because the one I have is no longer charging, its probably an EZ fix, but I want something a bit loud anyways.

You really don’t need max treble, it sounds unnatural with max treble, I find somewhere around 50% and 60% more than enough, sounds better than alot of the speakers out there

Dude the speakers move a bit for a woofer!!!
Don’t waste your money. I played it for 2 hours, it got super hot, and failed. The bass was set to zero and treble at medium at %75 volume. I made sure the speaker wasn’t clipping while playing. Waste of $260

What’s louder and bassyer the party box 300 or expedition 8 and my other question is what’s louder the 300 the expedition 8 or the lightning
If you want BASS, set the speaker to Max bass, treble at like half, and you’ll be able to use it up to like 70%, instead of having weaker bass at Max volume
For $300 it’s litterally IMPOSSIBLE to find something that even compares to this

I bought one of these a few months ago. It was a struggle because these sell so fast. It was definitely LOUD. I decided to get another one. I found a refurbished one and man. Two of these you will easily have a club. It’s crazy!
$300 for one? Ouch. I like the brand but still…….
