What do you think of the lu3 drone as currently sold on aliexpress for around $60-70 said to be brushless with GPS, flight time of 25 mins with 2s battery. 5g wifi control app. Dual cameras with optical flow positioning ptz app control on the front camera. Etc etc can it be for real ? Whats the catch ?

Hello, I want to get my father (age 85) a drone. He does not have a smart phone. But…. I could buy him one. He does not need or want smart service. (He has flip phone and land line) Can I just buy a "blank" refurbished smart phone just for the purposes of flying and controlling the drone? Thank you very much in advance. He loves the outdoors but as he is getting older, it is harder for him to walk about, but I think he would love to see the forests and streams and such where he lives.
One of my least favorite childhood memories is the several gas powered control line airplanes that I built, then crashed. Part of the unpleasantness was those damn screaming engines that caught on fire, cut your fingers and sometimes never even started. It took 2 people to get it in the air, and you needed a whole parking lot early on a Sunday morning. I wonder how you guys would do with one of those?
We also built our own kites, dinghies, rafts, sleds, working model sailboats, forts, tunnels, trenches, swings, tree houses, gokarts, ice rinks and pole vaulting pits.

I have had the 720E awhile now and my good friend just bought one. He asked me a question I wasn’t sure of the answer but said no you can’t. Question, can we fly these in same area at same time or will there be communication between the 2 of them and not work or crash.?

Wish I had seen this. Bought a drone. Opened it up and it promptly took off and headed full speed into an oak tree, smashing its gears and never flying again. I tried to push land 20 times and it did not respond…
GPS is definitely a must.

I’ve had shitty luck with the JJPRO X5! 😮
In my experience, the ESCs start blowing up after less than a few dozen flights. This (of course) renders the drone unflyable. I’ve even had a couple of them fall out of the sky because an ESC went to pot mid-flight. 😣

It’s easy to make a app that don’t need to have online registrations ect.
Why order a drone or a drone
I have the potensic d85, which is the same thing as the bugs 3 pro. Its a great drone! I’ve had it fall out of the sky once due to a user error, and only the propellers were scratched.
I have a question. The drone I have now is the e88 pro. But when I turn on the app it won’t let me use the controller to control the drone. I have to use the phone as the controller. Which for me is difficult troll the drone. So wondering if you can recommend a drone at either will allow you to record the video and take a picture from the actual controller. And or one that will allow me to use the actual controller but still be able to watch the video in real time from the phone and app. Or can you just tell me what to look for in the description that would tell me if I have that option or not

Could you tell us which companies have the best variety of accessories, like extra batteries, and which have the best service overall? Thanks, this decision just became a bit more involved but I don’t think I can lose too bad with any of these. Is it even possible to pull a battery and slip in a fresh one on all of them? Or any of them? Do any of the controls come with video so you don’t need a smart phone? Thanks. Now I want one.
