It may have been crowned but the crowns was made of paper. The beam has mediocre dialogue. Far better choices this year. It went back.

Just so you guys know, when you plug in your PS5/Series X to your Nakamichi then your Nakamichi to your tv’s arc, you will still get 4k@120hz despite the Nakamichi not having an hdmi 2.1.

  3. Starplatinum Brando on December 7, 2020 at 8:32 pm

Ambeo soundbar is too expensive to be in the list ?

    Nagamichi is hideous

Where’s the best in 2020. The Beosound Stage.

  7. pepeltoro444 on December 7, 2020 at 8:41 pm

Kudos! The Nakamishi Shockwafe is never mentioned. Check it out.

  9. Ejim J on December 7, 2020 at 8:46 pm

950T gets shitty surround scores but they give it best in class. It’s a Dolby Atmos bar. You are expecting surround. I’ll take the Nakamichi anytime.

Funny the Sony HT-St5000 is missing from the top !

  12. Steven Hocking on December 7, 2020 at 8:53 pm

I reckon the best small/budget soundbar is the Yamaha Yas 109. It’s cheap and sounds amazing, and dialogue can be heard well in loud scenes. It has smart features, and the good range of inputs including Bluetooth

  13. Chris Marshall on December 7, 2020 at 8:53 pm

This video brought to you by Samsung.

  14. t3true Designs on December 7, 2020 at 8:54 pm

I came here for soundbars, but anyone know what those white desks are?!?! I like those!

  15. Some Dude on December 7, 2020 at 8:55 pm

Samsung bias much. I work in a home theater retail store and have personally tested all these products for each Samsung product mentioned there are better alternatives, 2019 Samsung models were much better. I’m sorry but Rtings is unreliable.

  16. Hzleyes708 on December 7, 2020 at 8:55 pm

    Where is Sony and Yamaha

  17. Prabhdeep singh padda on December 7, 2020 at 8:56 pm

I have Lg c9 and massive PS4 collection , many of which have PCM 5.1 audio , I have zeroed in to Samsung HW q950 t soundbar . As you say it lacks PCM support for it’s HDMI in ports ,
if i connect my devices directly to LG C9 insetad of HDMI in ports of soundbar and use earc for passthrough as LG c9 supports earc , will that solve the issue of PCM support or is there any other way around as well. Just need the best audio with max format support. Could you please suggest on it.

  20. littlebigmarc on December 7, 2020 at 8:58 pm

Naka wins and they plan to add hmdi 2.1 on next release

  21. Sebastián Dovizioso on December 7, 2020 at 8:58 pm

I can’t fathom how you can recommend a Sonos bar with no bass or a Samsung product, which have a history of unreliability when the Philips pb603 kills both of them easily

  22. JDOG on December 7, 2020 at 8:58 pm

no seinheiser ambeo? that thing is a beast hows it not even mentioned here lol

  23. Richland Zee on December 7, 2020 at 8:58 pm

Does anyone here own the HW-Q950T? Did Samsung fix the bugs on the unit? I sampled the Sonos Arc at Bestbuy but found the sound a little too tinny for my taste without the sub. Good sound separation though. $1500 with sub and you only get 5.1.2, Another $300 for rear surround. Way too pricey TBH. Still thinking about getting the 950T which to me has a much fuller, wider sound stage and as clear as the Sonos but im going to hold off for now and see what happens with their firmware updates.last time I checked a brand new set on ebay is about $950.

  24. MySpankster on December 7, 2020 at 8:59 pm

i have a further question….my system has no receiver…i have the Sonos ARC 5.1 set up…i am getting a new tv ( Q90T ) and a panasonic 9000 or an 820…….this is my question….do i hook up the sonos arc ( eArc ) to the eArc on the TV , the blue ray to HDMI 1 ,…. and the cable box to the HDMI 2….does that all sound right ? thx a bunch…new at the tech stuff…lol

  25. tdg223 on December 7, 2020 at 9:00 pm

No bose 700 with bass module and 700 surrounds

  26. Brajonnz on December 7, 2020 at 9:02 pm

Yep couldn’t be more happier with the JBL 9.1. An amazing buy for sure for its sound quality!

  27. Sam Ash on December 7, 2020 at 9:02 pm

    What about LG bars?

  28. David Mander on December 7, 2020 at 9:03 pm

Impressive sound = Dedicated amp and wired speakers only!!

  29. Logan Mathias on December 7, 2020 at 9:05 pm

Couldn’t be happier with my Sonos Arc

  30. Andreas Bone on December 7, 2020 at 9:06 pm

Got the Samsung Q950T for a €1,000, and could not be happier, was sceptical it was not gonna suffice for a 35 m2 rectangular living room, happy I was terribly wrong as this thing fills the room with clear powerful sound coming from everywhere, just amazing.

  31. NeilG on December 7, 2020 at 9:07 pm

Nice review but sounding good on the bench is only half of the story, reliability is not tested but is equally if not more important. It’s all very well buying into the best recommended system but finding out it’s totally unreliable can be a nightmare. Read through the forums and you’ll soon discover that there are a lot of very unhappy owners out there. Samsung – sound dropping out, poor connectivity, Sonos arc – failing speakers, lip sync issues, Ambeo – over heating, creaking plastic case and failing speakers etc. My own example – the highly recommended, at the time, Bose acoustimas 300 system – bar, sub and surrounds, endless connectivity issues, bar eventually failed and returned for repair, now sub has failed and is on the way for repair. Do your own research people, without a reliability evaluation these reviews can lead to a very expensive mistake.

  32. Jeroen Meester on December 7, 2020 at 9:07 pm

You’re just about the worst reviewer on YouTube, and on top of that I haven’t seen any websites as bad as yours.

  33. Kwame Keyes on December 7, 2020 at 9:08 pm

Is the Vizio Elevate worth purchasing?? It’s going for $1,000 , I’m not sure what system to buy , what I do kno is I’d like a wireless system

  34. Dumbass Nigga on December 7, 2020 at 9:09 pm

I bought a Samsung hw-q800t and it sounds great but what i don’t like is for music since the center channel reproduce most of the sound not vocals only

  35. Grant Summers on December 7, 2020 at 9:10 pm

Has the Samsung HWQ950T been tested with the QLED TV 90 series ?

  36. TheWoolyninja4 on December 7, 2020 at 9:11 pm

I have heard several reviews of the JBL say they had issues with the surround speakers dropping connection multiple times in a single play session so that is a concern. Also how do you "review" an item without reviewing its battery life??? Its 10hours… you can’t put 10 hours into a product? To top it off you gave the best 5.1 to a 9.1 maybe change the category name to fit better. I am also a bit puzzled by the "best overall" is price going into this is it just best sound what is it? If it is just best sound and not sound for the money I am not sure how you would come to the Samsung winning but perhaps you are limited on what you have reviewed.

  37. Dave on December 7, 2020 at 9:11 pm

Where’s the B&O Beosound Stage? Costs less than full ARC setup!

  38. NefariousOne on December 7, 2020 at 9:13 pm

Q950T was buggy as hell. Audio cutting in and out. Requiring unplugging and plugging back in the HDMI or power cycling. When it’s working, it’s great, but the headaches made it unusable to me. Nothing worse than the audio fluctuations or cutting out mid movie and having to get up and spend 5-10minutes trouble shooting. The Arc, sub and surrounds has been flawless and a much more enjoyable experience.

  39. Dan Dan on December 7, 2020 at 9:14 pm

@ rtings: Samsung hw t550 160 € Samsung hw t650 200 € quale tra le due consigli di prendere?

  40. Ric Johnson on December 7, 2020 at 9:15 pm

I’m going for 3.1 Klipsch 600 with 10 inch subwoofer… will add satellite surround rear speakers down the line..

hello, I have a MX-T70 samsug sound tower and a samsung 4k hdr tv, I want to know if it is necessary to buy a sound bar or just the sound tower is enough, thanks

  43. CasmX on December 7, 2020 at 9:18 pm

I was looking for a budget soundbar during Black Friday to pair with my parent’s new TV they’re getting for Christmas and I settled on the recently released Vizio M21D-H8. Normally priced at $150, I found a fantastic Black Friday deal and snagged one for $80. However, just watched your video here and the recommended Samsung HW-T550 was comparable in price to the non-discounted Vizio at approx $175.

Since these are Christmas gifts, I haven’t had a chance to try the bar and aside from a handful of reviews and a bit of info on reddit, there’s just not much out there talking about the Vizio all-in-one M-series bar. I’m curious how the Vizio budget bar compares to the Samsung one shown here. I mean, ultimately at the end of the day, I’m sure that for $80, it’s going to be a fantastic soundbar for the price. I’m just wondering if I shouldn’t have searched high and low for a Samsung deal during Black Friday instead.

  44. daeux on December 7, 2020 at 9:18 pm

LG SN11RG is the best soundbar of 2020 not the Samsung! this is clearly a biased paid review

  45. N k on December 7, 2020 at 9:20 pm

Please could you let me know which system you are using for the background music on this video? 2:38

  46. Titus Thomas on December 7, 2020 at 9:25 pm

You are wrong and Nakamichi the best. All you need in the rating from amazon and best buy and from othere sources. Best sound bar of the era

  47. SM4ster on December 7, 2020 at 9:26 pm

Really?? You guys are in Montreal and you don’t review Best Buy Canada Exclusive TV’s like the LG NANO95? Some of the Canada exclusive products go unreviewed during their whole life cycle.

  48. Ed Vincent Calaguas on December 7, 2020 at 9:28 pm

I have the Sonos arc, 2 SL one, the sub with my LG OLED and reclining seat with a cup holder.

  49. Phillip Doucet on December 7, 2020 at 9:29 pm

What about the Samsung hw-q900t? Is it pretty much the same thing excluding the 2 rear speakers? Thanks for the videos

  50. Jesha1995 on December 7, 2020 at 9:29 pm

How about buying a soundbar of last year with better sound quality but not the newest features? This sounds like the best budget option out there instead of buying a newer budget soundbar.
