We went to purchase this fridge for our new house. We went ahead a spent a few hundred extra and upgraded to the Electrolux version of this fridge. We are still waiting for our house to be finished, so we haven’t been able to use it yet.

Don’t buy these. I have had a set for almost a year and it is very noisy. Called service out here several times. They replaced a fan and a compressor and tell me it is quiet as can be. I can hear it from over 60′ away and it makes it hard to talk in the kitchen and dining room. Also has a problem with dents in the doors. Not from getting bumped, but a manufacturing issue. We were told that if we had reported this within 30 days (it is a known problem) that the manufacturer would have replaced the doors, but we did not install them in our new house for several months after we bought them. Also, if you combine the freezer and fridge with the trim kit, there apparently is no way to level the unit so the doors swing closed. Our fridge door hits the countertop every time and it is very annoying.

I have the same fridge since March 2020 and since then I’ve noticed that the fresh vegetables spoil faster that they normally spoiled in my old fridge, that was a whirlpool. I want to know if someone else has the same situacion and how to solve it. Thans!!!!

Sub-Zero has a distinct high quality stainless face. Does this have a similar look or is it that plastic-y metal look like Samsung uses?

  5. Daniel on December 1, 2020 at 6:43 pm

Quick update, looks like Frigidaire is issuing a new version of this in fall 2020. AJ Madison is selling the pair + trim at $5,325. Huge price jump from the older model and no visible difference from what I can tell.

  7. shaun cobbs on December 1, 2020 at 6:44 pm

Wow this is the best video ever because I’ve been trying to find a way of cutting cost for doing the same thing

Thanks for the review. We intended to buy this model, as it’s a very affordable option, however is presently discontinued by the manufacturer. Local supplier informed us the new model will be available in September 2020, originally new model was supposed hit the market in April this year. New model will feature refrigerator with a water dispenser, which will make it very convenient. Local supplier also informed us that dimensions might vary from discontinued model. We just will have to use our old refrigerator at the new house until new models roll out later this year.

Did she just hold that ice then put it back in??? Oh well! It’s her fridge. But I won’t be having any drinks at her place.

I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews about this fridge/freezer not working after a short time. Has anyone experienced this?

  15. Rebel Eazy on December 1, 2020 at 6:53 pm

Good good job on the video y’all. Oh I like the ice part. Or you can just handle it put in back in🤣. Thanks for the video.

Awesome videos, guys. Loving all this amazing wealth of information both of you are sharing. Binge watching! ❤️

  17. jose ramos melendez on December 1, 2020 at 6:57 pm

Nice! So is this a pigeon pair configuration, with a trim?

  18. Rebel Eazy on December 1, 2020 at 6:57 pm

Hey guys since that fridge was discontinued. Any recommendations on a similar fridge? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

  19. Zachary Salem on December 1, 2020 at 6:57 pm

Can you share anything about your cabinets? What is door style? Who made them? Thanks

  20. plutorama on December 1, 2020 at 7:01 pm

$3800? You didn’t shop around hard enough. I would’ve sourced it for under $2K. $300 for that aluminum grate alone is insane and irresponsible to pay anyone. It just emboldens them to keep fleecing unsuspecting customers.

  21. Lord Fifth on December 1, 2020 at 7:02 pm

who in the world carry that in your house.

  22. Charles Thomas on December 1, 2020 at 7:02 pm

Great video. Love watching your videos. That is a great fridge. I am still a subzero guy. I am getting the pro36. Have you see the pro36?

  23. Ignacio Rodríguez on December 1, 2020 at 7:03 pm

It may look like a subzero but is it as functional as a subzero? Does the trim kit work as a vent? Will it last for 20+ years? Can it vacuum seal and scrub the air? Does it increase the value of a home? Is it made in the USA? It has to be more about functionality than form.

  24. wearethree on December 1, 2020 at 7:06 pm

FYI, I just ordered this fridge (6/25/2020) and the prices have gone up almost double. Each unit cost me $2,600.00 and that was the sale price. Retail is now just under $3,100.00 each. The trim kit is now $380.00. So I paid $5,580.00 USD plus tax for the whole package. So it’s over $6,000.00 now when no sales are going on. Also it’s back ordered until end of September due to COVID-19 shutdown of their factories.

  25. Daniel on December 1, 2020 at 7:06 pm

I’ve had this set since May 2017 and have had no issues (aside from needing to clean the coils once).. Absolutely love this and it’s a near steal at $3.2k right now on Amazon.

  26. westelevenlane on December 1, 2020 at 7:07 pm

haha the ice part – I’ve always been so in love with your kitchen and this fridge works just perfectly along with the rest of the space!

  27. S S on December 1, 2020 at 7:07 pm

What if i want cabinetry panels on top of the refrigerator doors?

  28. TheDanielsMan Tv on December 1, 2020 at 7:09 pm

It appears this product has been discontinued. Do you know of another product with similar qualities/price?

  29. Migo Surf on December 1, 2020 at 7:10 pm

Bummer they discontinued this. I like the look of this

  30. peterbranden on December 1, 2020 at 7:21 pm

It’s obvious you have no clue about the difference between subzero and that cheap ass Frigidaire, subzero is made with engeneering in every step of its production, not like that POS Frigidaire you are promoting that got a 1 year sealed system warranty and that cheap ass heat exchanger that fails in 3 years, compared to subzero 12 year warranty

  31. Chrissy Domako on December 1, 2020 at 7:21 pm

Can you do a tour of your kitchen so we can see the rest of your appliances? 🙂 Trying to remodel ours and your color scheme with your cabinets and appliances seem like the same route I’d like to take.

  32. Ian Wylie on December 1, 2020 at 7:21 pm

it woulkd be nice if you told the viewer who the maker is and what model??

  33. Tyler S on December 1, 2020 at 7:23 pm

Hey your links are dead already, says they discontinued the model. Do you have links to new models?

  34. Soledad Alvarado on December 1, 2020 at 7:26 pm

Hola saludos desde Costa Rica 🇨🇷 donde puedo mandar a traer el refrigerador si me pueden mandar la información se los agradesco

  35. Rocky's World on December 1, 2020 at 7:26 pm

Looking for a fridge my wife saw on t.v. and was a subzero at 15k plus. I came across your channel and 👍👍 she loved the look better at a third of the price but unfortunately it’s discontinued. I read a comment left above of the new models to come later this year (2020) I actually was wondering if you had any compatible models you would suggest?. (Around the same price range)
I’ve been searching and can’t find anything as good as your deal, but I thought I’d just ask anyway.

  36. MagicQueendom on December 1, 2020 at 7:27 pm

How does the fridge look today on the doors? And little dents or divets. Ive seen reviews and pics of this with the excuse that there is foam in the doors that expand and contract and it is acceptable…whatever the heck that means. And where in the world do you see it for $3500. All i see on amazon is $7000 for this model.

  37. Abigail pele on December 1, 2020 at 7:28 pm

    Yo lo quiero

  38. Robert Fernandez on December 1, 2020 at 7:29 pm

I looked at these when I had to replace my 35 year old Sub Zero full size freezer and fridge. All the reviews I looked at said that they were problematic. Ended up just biting the bullet and getting a new Sub Zero set. In the long run it’ll end up being cheaper. The last set did last 35 years. The freezer was still going strong but the new set is taller so I couldn’t just replace the fridge. Had to have the electric plugs redone as the new ones have the plugs up high, the old units had the motor and fan at the bottom. At the end of the day they look incredibly impressive.

  39. Krystal Dickow on December 1, 2020 at 7:31 pm

    It’s discontinued

  40. Kathy Doan on December 1, 2020 at 7:32 pm

After seeing your review, we are also thinking of getting this fridge/freezer combo for our new house. By the way, what is the name of the stone on your island? I really like that color. Thanks for the video!

  41. Monkey Haters on December 1, 2020 at 7:33 pm

Don’t buy Frigidaire they suck ass!!!!

  42. KeeleyAuthor on December 1, 2020 at 7:35 pm

I’ve had Dacor and KitchenAid Refrigerators and your husband is correct, the ice maker makes a noise as it replenishes the ice. This fridge is stunning, at any price. The interior storage is massive. That trim kit is a must-add!

  43. Michele Fender on December 1, 2020 at 7:35 pm

We have the same one! Hoping I will love it as much as my hubby does, lol! It was his gift to me! ❤

  44. Daniel Cannistraci on December 1, 2020 at 7:38 pm

Love this idea! We will definitely be getting these. You just saved us a tons of money. We were going to get the KitchenAid built in prior to seeing this!
