Which computer is the best? Mac or PC? Windows or iOS?
This video is not only for DJs but anyone looking to buy a computer. I go into detail with 10 different ways Mac has a clear Edge over PC / Windows Computer and I talk about why buying a MacBook or iMac may be more expensive, but is a way better investment in the long run. Not only is Mac a better computer for DJs, but it’s also a better computer for EVERYONE. Except gamers. If you game, get a PC.

Mac is just a brand … You paying 2000 euro and of course they give to you garage band ahah … It’s a computer just for mail and office … Did you never try to use unity or blender on a macbook?? Did you never try to use a heavy software on a mac ?

I’m like halfway into your "review" of the pros of getting an Apple product over a PC. Literally everything you said an Apple product does, a PC can do. Not only that. But, when your PC gets "outdated", you can literally just upgrade the past you need.

My PC is about 8 years old. The only thing I needed to upgrade was my graphics card. My processor is still good enough for today’s applications and games. Sure, the newer processor would be better, however, my old processor still gets the job done.

You can’t simply upgrade a part on a MAC. You literally have to go and buy a while new machine. As far as what MAC’s come with a standard. Sure, a standard MAC comes with certain programs for designing that a windows home OS doesn’t come with. However, Windows professional or what not does have those applications.

As far as viruses and attacks are concerned. Yes, windows is prone to more attacks, because it’s more prevalent. MAC’s, however, are becoming more prone to attacks in recent years, because they are becoming more popular with hipsters. With a PC, you have the option to use Linux instead of Windows, and since Linux is open source and can be changed at any time, they are MUCH harder to hack.

In my honest opinion, MAC’s are only good if you’re a lazy graphics designer. I used to use MAC’s when I was a graphics designer. They were ok. But, everything they could do, my PC could do, and I didn’t have to click and hold a single button and wait to release it when I was on the tab I wanted to select.

Bottom line. MAC’s are too expensive, you can’t upgrade parts on them, and like any non biased person would say, you can find a PC for half the cost or less, and does the same thing as a MAC.

    Mac all day

  6. Stefano Salerno on May 2, 2022 at 7:25 pm

I recommend the use of a Mac to those who do not know how to use a computer, I have never seen anyone do computer science with a Mac … but I see many people sitting at the bar sipping coffee and saying that Mac is better than PC 1 when they don’t even know the technical specifications of your PC … Mac is a PC suitable for those who do not know how to use and protect a computer .. all here … the next model will be without keys, you will have to buy them separately lol. Apple is a class brand that tries to kill the system … the internal components are all welded so if you break a piece you are screwed while in a normal PC you can replace the damaged piece, Apple does not give you the possibility to do hardware upgrades so now after 3.4 you are forced to change PC, the common life of any computer is 5-6 years, it seems absurd to hear certain nonsense …

Nick, Buddy, could you please tell me what demented soul invented the MacBook pro, I swear there has got to be a warm place in hell for them, its not that I am not computer illiterate, I’m 63 and i have been using computers since the commodore64 computer I built my own desktops, I decided to buy a mac, load it up You know, with Serato, so I could look like the pros, That lighted keyboard, the lighted apple logo, I mean who could resist, right, Nick, I have never encountered a more infuriating machine in my entire life, its the computer from hell, PUBLIC SERVICE ANOUNCEMENT, IF YOU ARE A PC USER, IF YOU USE A WINDOWS COMPUTER, DONT BUY A MAC, I have had mine for six hours and I am ready to smash it! Man I hate this thing! it took me hours just to get past the welcome screen, I’m selling it, Nick buddy, you are great, but MacBooks, Suuuuuuck!my wife is now pissed at me, i been cussing for the last 4 hours! 12. Evacody124 on May 2, 2022 at 7:38 pm

All those programs you can get free versions of them on Windows. Microsoft office well there is Libre office. I can go on with the list. But the point is much of what you say is Bull shit.

  13. FilipAltDelete on May 2, 2022 at 7:39 pm

PC is not an OS, so mac vs windows would be more accurate

  14. Rudolfo Félix on May 2, 2022 at 7:40 pm

The program’s performance in the Macbooks is much better than the PCs… something that I didn’t want to admit for a long time, because in reality, I haven´t had a chance to compare it on daily use. Recently, I bought my sister a Macbook Air 2015 with an i5 and 8GB of RAM, and comparing with my HP laptop that has an i7 and 8GB, running Traktor in full power with 4-channels… my pc breaks from time to time… kinda sucks, because I can´t use it for a live performance, I need my sister’s Mac.

Btw, in Windows, you already can use virtual desktops since some years ago. But yeah, especially for Music and Artist, Macbooks are more reliable.

  18. Soulwork Music on May 2, 2022 at 7:49 pm

    Razer Blade 15 (2018) i7 16gb 1tb ssd made issues with serato – $2k
MacBook 2011 pro – runs smoother no problems ever with serato $1200

Waiting a year, then getting 16" MacBook pro ($3k, FML) to have no issues for a decade again.

I love both, but I stick with Windows because I can build my own machine exactly how I want. I have an i7 9700K / RTX 2060 machine, which cost me around $1,400 CAD to build. A Mac with similar specs is about $6,000 CAD.

  27. ForeverTS2 on May 2, 2022 at 7:58 pm

The reason apple store exists is because they treat you like babies, soldier the RAM and glue the battery so you can’t repair it yourself. Most PC users fix their own problems or sell it for parts.

I’m a Windows user on an iMac… especially there is such a thing on a thing called bootcamp… a feature unique in all mac… best of both worlds…

  32. A.D. R.D on May 2, 2022 at 8:00 pm

Sure ppl should look at it from an investment perspective, but your very average consumer wont pay attention to that. they might just need a device to use for work, school, or home.

  33. Mauro Barbosa on May 2, 2022 at 8:01 pm

When was the last time you used a windows??

  34. Meles Meles on May 2, 2022 at 8:02 pm

Thanks Nick you convinced me to switch from a windows pc to an iMac!

  35. Adam on May 2, 2022 at 8:02 pm

I’ve been a PC user for the last 20 years. I love it. I started using my girlfriends iMac three days ago. Obviously it’s confusing because I’m not familiar with it. I will say it runs extremely smooth and the features are mind blowing. I agree with all 10 of your tips. There’s only one thing I have a big problem with on the iMac compared to PC and that’s keyboard shortcuts. Using the mouse is OK, but keyboard shortcuts make things so much quicker and I find they are way more confusing on a Mac.

  38. Cerl on May 2, 2022 at 8:07 pm

If you want to be an influencer and give people advice & knowledge (like what your comment section/info implies), don’t go on a massive personal rant with no research to actually back up what you’re saying.
If you do just want to rant, then title it differently, like ‘Why I believe Mac’s are better for DJ’s’. This video just makes you look like a blinded cult follower and shows how little you actually know.

My quick two cents – Both Mac and Windows are amazing in their own way, and the choice comes down to personal preference and what you need from a laptop. If there was a clear winner, we’d all know. Both have pro’s and con’s depending on the way you view them and sometimes you have bad luck.
It’s actually pathetic that people get judged on using any type of laptop when DJing. How sad do you have to be to do that.

P.S. Your videos would look much better if you zoomed out a little out and use a 3 or 5 point light setup (even just adding a hair light would make a difference)

In Japan, ppl on the internet make fun of a person who uses Macbook at cafe cus they just watch YouTube or basically do nothing on macbook with smug face.

  43. Joshua Miller on May 2, 2022 at 8:10 pm

honestly it depends on needs. If you’re a gamer, windows. If you’re a large business, windows. If you need flexibility, windows. If you’re looking for something with power, and dependable reliability, Mac. If you need something with power and ease of use, Mac. If you’re a student and need extreme reliability, Mac again. If you’re a small business that needs reliable, secure machines, Mac. It all depends on your needs.

  44. Dean Triviani on May 2, 2022 at 8:11 pm

Sorry heavily disagree, I have an HP and an Apple both 2020 models and my HP completely destroys my Apple I will say I prefer the apple’s build quality a little better and nothing beats a trackpad of a Mac that being said you want to talk about versatility and multi tasking that all goes to window. you have two windows u want to see side by side great drag each windows to opposite sides of the screen and boom its there, try doing that with a Mac a huge Pain for something so simple. try playing a game on a Mac it sucks. My HP feels way snappier than my Mac the days of Windows machines being crappy are over Windows 10 combined with PC manufacturers making well built ultrabooks (Dell XPS, Razer Blade, HP Spectre/ Envy)… btw I just replaced my 10 year old HP as well and it still functions well. I love my Mac and I know they’re great machines and they sell very well but if I had to choose between my HP or my Mac id take the HP any day its a powerhouse of a machine, I’d have to spend over $3000 for the same power my HP has.

I did so love your video. My iMac, 2008, 27" just died on me, and I’m now looking for its replacement. Your video has caused me to simply buy another Apple, even though I have to wait a month for it.
