Looking around Canada Computers, one of the only computer store left in Canada

No NCIX no Tiger Direct no Newegg. 3 hours north of where I live this is one of the only places you can go browse all kinds of computer junk.

which toronto store is this? I bought the parts for my system last february from a couple of Canada Computers stores in Toronto, there are a few, but I do not recognize the one you are in.

Also, parts in Canada aren’t cheap like in the USA.

Dear Manager: you are the worst computer shop my brother and I have ever dealt with.He ordered a custom state of the art computer specifically for music recording/multimedia projects in mid Jan and only received it a week ago. After all the delays and 6-7 visits to the shop,he brings it home to find NO Power cord! Then he discovers there is NO DVD Drive. After returning to the shop to get a power cord the little snide at the front counter disbelieved him and did not give him a chord so my brother has to use his old one from his Dell. He switched it on to find there is NO power so he calls his computer friend in Nova Scotia for an hour to walk him through this.Sill NO power. I am coming to your shop tonight, you had better be ready for me and provide that power cord and rectify this situation or I’m going to Pat Form at ‘Consumer Alert from CFTO News Better Business Bureau and the local paper! Got that….? Good!

I remember when there was Summit Direct, Tiger Direct, NCIX, Newegg etc. Now it’s Canada Computers and I think Summit Direct is still around in Hamilton but that’s it. Tiny little store at Barton and Kennelworth.

You are so lucky, in my country there are only small stores and they have nothing, no variety at all.

  31. Jonathan Soko on October 14, 2020 at 4:51 pm

The only Computer store in Connecticut that i can go to and buy new Ram, Gpu’s and Cpu’s is Best buy. That is so sad. There are a few used shops but they only sell used, and its often over priced due to them wanting you to buy complete systems from them. And best buy ends up being better since they price match new egg and amazon

  32. Dr3gono _ on October 14, 2020 at 4:51 pm

  39. Eric Witte on October 14, 2020 at 5:00 pm

When I picked up my trident graphics card in the early 90s it felt like an underground drug deal lol. The good old days of everything being local and only nerds purchased computer parts.
