KeePass for iOS (iPhone / iPad) – KeePassium Password Manager Tutorial – Sync Passwords with Dropbox

This is a follow up video on my KeePass 2 tutorial. This time we’re taking a look at the iOS (iPhone & iPad) version and how to set everything up so that your database is always in sync between all your devices. We’re using KeePassium together with Dropbox to do all of that.

KeePassium works very well on my iPhone. I bought Premium version by subscription.

Hey, this was a great video! My question is: should I encrypt the database using Cryptomator before uploading it to my iCloud?

    Thanks!

Good job with all 3 videos. Quality very good. You can Was useful with activating on Android and iPhone – everything went very well . I just missed the part in video about Windows – i see no info about synchronisation with any cloud storage. I have problems with opening database in KeePass on Windows straight from GoogleDrive.
Great feature for me is that I can copy KeePassium password on iPhone and paste immediately on MacBook.

SOLUTION FOR 1:15 "As some of you might know, copying from your PC/MAC to your iPhone isn’t as easy as it should be"

    No need for iTunes crap.

Just setup an "SMB" type connection via files app, easy to download/upload files over WiFi via connected devices to PC.

The best files apps I’ve found for this are "Documents By Readable" & "FE File Explorer" which has extensive compatibility for NAS devices & other connection types.

Due to music production I have hundreds of thousands of files & it’s easy to transfer virtually any file-type.

I’m running into a problem when trying to access my database on iphone and/or windows, using my keyfile. For simplicity i set the password to "test" and created extra "test"-files. It will give me a HMAC mismatch on both devices, and i guess, the keyfile must be the problem. How would you try to solve this? Cheers

Do u know of any password generators that work with apple(watch and iPhone) and windows ? I like having password’s kept on usb drive and defiantly don’t want passwords stored online as I see many data breaches these days.

Great video! I like the clear instructions.
You don’t necessarily need iCloud. If you install the KeePassium app and then connect your iPhone with iTunes on your computer, choose File Sharing. You are then able to add a KeePassium database and/or keyfile and transfer it to your phone.
