I use a iPhone 11, will be using for another year and 1/2. On a budget the XR or 11 are great. Changing the battery when it gets below 85% will keep your phone up to par.

Nick what about XS? is it still worth it in comparison to XR?

  3. P.a. on July 1, 2022 at 11:55 pm

My first iphone upgraded to 13 pro max and i havent notice any difference from daily task. Only the cam and battery

  4. HALWG51 on July 1, 2022 at 11:58 pm

I bought the XR when it was released. I felt it was over-priced when new, and then Apple released the iPhone 11 at a cheaper price. I used it for 3 years until I started having battery problems. The iPhone 13 is such a better phone. I don’t think anyone should buy the XR in 2022. I do think wireless charging killed my battery. I ditched my wireless chargers and won’t wireless charge any iPhone.

  6. Bhavya Jain on July 2, 2022 at 12:00 am

I remember it was launched for $1000 in my region and now i can get it new for $365 from E-commerce website and used one for $280

The XR was my first iPhone purchased in the summer of 2019, it was and still is a great and reliable device. I eventually wanted something smaller and lighter so I went with the 12 mini when that became available which I’m currently using, still I have many memories and tons of great pics taken with my former XR

  8. Jhaze Lucas on July 2, 2022 at 12:03 am

    Waiting for Xs in 2022

  9. m-rod on July 2, 2022 at 12:05 am

I’m sure the XR will lay the foundation as the new cheap iPhone.

  10. Sebastian Garda on July 2, 2022 at 12:07 am

Hey Nick great phone ! Serve me well for last 3 years! Now upgrade to iPhone13 pro. Still great camera on XR !

  12. KJC on July 2, 2022 at 12:07 am

    I got one yesterday

  13. Kohana on July 2, 2022 at 12:08 am

loved the video Nick! Always look forward what you have to say on previous/older year’s phone models.
I am actually thinking of getting an iphone XR as my work phone for next year actually for the usual calls, gmeets, chats and the occasional snapping of docs and stuff. nothing to heavy/app-intensive. I am just not sure whether it’ll be the ‘right’ choice even though it’ll still be a basic work functionality phone. but it’s the only one in the apple lineup (apart from the 11) that has the big LCD screen (which is a must) and affordable pricing.

  14. Chad H on July 2, 2022 at 12:11 am

Whenever you get a chance you should lay out every phone you currently own snap a picture and post it on Twitter. I’m guessing you have around 20 devices?

  15. Fiji Will223 on July 2, 2022 at 12:11 am

Nah this phone is trash tbh, bad front cameras, single rear camera, old design, lcd display, no 5G in 2022 is not gonna cut it.

  16. Teresa Norris on July 2, 2022 at 12:12 am

I brought the XR brand new from a carrier in NZ for $400 NZ (I think that’s $250 US approx). I brought it for my Mum to replace her 5S. All she wanted was a big iPhone as her sight not so great, she absolutely loves it and I think it is a very solid iPhone.👍

    Quality over quantity

  19. paristath on July 2, 2022 at 12:16 am

here the iphone 11 is cheaper than the iphone x

  20. Rithika Vidusahan on July 2, 2022 at 12:17 am

naaah A53 is a better phone for most people. sure the A12 will give you more power but for the average user a53 has a better display, better versatile cameras and more software features. i have the Xs max right now and the A12 is kinda showing its age with dropped frames in the home screen whereas the a53 is smooth because of the high refresh rate

  21. Desiree Miranda on July 2, 2022 at 12:19 am

    That’s my iPhone 📲🧡

  22. wizzgamer on July 2, 2022 at 12:19 am

Iphone XR is still a beast performance wise for it’s age though I say go for the 11 as it’s not much more and you get a extra camera, more ram and a faster processor.

  23. Shubham SP on July 2, 2022 at 12:20 am

2020to22 now perfect performance no issues

  24. José Adorno on July 2, 2022 at 12:21 am

It can make it through a WHOLE day on battery in IOS 16? Wow, impressive considering my 12 Pro Max is way newer and it dies close to 1-2pm

  25. CR7 on July 2, 2022 at 12:22 am

My XR is dead, Face ID doesn’t work, screen has a couple cracks, had a couple battery replacements, finally there was some black oil like stain in the display then the screen started flickering and blacked out. not worth repairing, tbh I rlly didn’t like it compared to the other iPhones I had in the past so im sort of glad I have a reason to upgrade. Don’t listen to this video its a waste of money buying one in 2022, go for a 5g ready iPhone with a better display and camera

  26. Noella Oware on July 2, 2022 at 12:22 am

Just watching this today when I’ve ordered my black iphone XR 64gb
Upgrading from my Android Realme 6i
    😊😊😊

  27. Hatim Arif on July 2, 2022 at 12:23 am

I use it as a secondary phone now cause my 250$ budget phone from 2020 has better wifi and network reception then this guy

  28. Arne T on July 2, 2022 at 12:24 am

My brother in law bought one used like new a few month ago and he is very happy with it in 2022. He switched from a iPhone 6 to that. This just because the 6 is running out of software. I think this shows how long an iPhone could run.

  29. Tim R. on July 2, 2022 at 12:29 am

People should just stop looking at the bare resolution on paper… especially when comparing LCD to OLED.
In FACT: all iPhones have the exact same sharpness. OLED uses PenTile which means only 2 sub-pixels per pixel. So in reality the sharpness of let’s say an iPhone 13 Pro Max is actually also only about 326ppi (for the red and blue sub-pixels – only the green ones have 458ppi). And so are all the Android phones. More so: all those 400ppi 1080p Android phones actually have a lower sharpness at only about 267ppi.

  30. Sam Holloway on July 2, 2022 at 12:29 am

XR is a great phone I prefer xs slightly more tho it has oled panel better screen, it then has stainless steel more of a premium feel, it has 2 cameras ok fair enough the software helps the XR with one camera some would say even more better camera but your still getting 2 cameras, I know the XR has longer battery life but if you can sacrifice that then I’d go for xs no brainer.

    great vid

  32. arik on July 2, 2022 at 12:33 am

The screen is so dated way too low resolution, and the air gap

  33. Brbhave2p00p on July 2, 2022 at 12:33 am

The XR always confused me with its price tag and personality. However, it had some gorgeous colors. The blue and coral is still killer colors

  34. cookies on July 2, 2022 at 12:34 am

Wonderful video tbh. I still use mine and it does the job pretty well.

  35. JoZibi on July 2, 2022 at 12:35 am

The iPhone XR is still a great and solid device. And with that single camera on the back it has the cleanest back design of any iPhone in my opinion. And the Coral color is so beautiful. 👍🏼

  36. Now What? on July 2, 2022 at 12:37 am

I am still in love with my iPhone XR. One of my favorite phones ever. I am looking around for a new phone however, but don’t have a lot of money. Might buy myself another one.

  38. Ali Hamzaa Malik on July 2, 2022 at 12:38 am

    Cool!

  40. gaunter o' dim on July 2, 2022 at 12:43 am

nah.. xs is the best budget iphone

  41. Sarah Anderson on July 2, 2022 at 12:44 am

Love my white 64GB 4G/LTE iPhone XR this will be the closest I’ll get to the newer models as someone whom is low-income budget wise this is only going to to go out of date in my opinion once the software updates stop so nobody should really worry about it and it makes a heck of a casual gaming device if your into gaming with you call & texting uses 🙂 no complaints definitely faster than my much loved iPhone 7 Plus:) and that too still runs ok but the iPhone XR is still my new favourite 🙂

  42. Woop rico on July 2, 2022 at 12:45 am

I like the blue that’s on Xr hope they bring that blue back

  43. Th3 KiNg iS CoMinG on July 2, 2022 at 12:45 am

Team XR here still going strong ☺️

  44. Cookie Monster on July 2, 2022 at 12:47 am

I only recently bought the iPhone XR since I hadn’t had an iPhone in a while, Got it for £170 and love it, 2nd night it went into recovery mode but that was due to I accidentally set it off somehow, But overall it’s an amazing phone.

  45. Tony NewGuy on July 2, 2022 at 12:49 am

The XR was a battery beast at the time before the 11’s came out. I bought the basemodel for XR for my brother and he still uses it today.

  46. Anja schmarse on July 2, 2022 at 12:50 am

i bought it today. I only want to use it for half a year, but it’s really great

  47. Erick Sierra on July 2, 2022 at 12:50 am

I’d pick this one up over the new SE because of the bigger screen and battery life

  48. Patrick Chong on July 2, 2022 at 12:50 am

The XR still doing great for its age👍🏻

  49. Nick Ackerman on July 2, 2022 at 12:51 am
