I’m currently an Android user. Thinking of switching to the iPhone SE. BUT as you mentioned I would like to see how it stacks up against the Pixel 4a on the video department before making a decision. Stills usually better on the Pixel devices but video usually is better on the iPhones. Would like to know if the Pixels can match in that regard! Please make it happen.

I have a feeling that the new SE would be absolutely perfect for a first phone as it’s very affordable and for a child I feel it would be not as easy to break or drop

I have an original SE. Recently had to have a new battery and that’s been the only thing it’s needed. But, no earphone jack in the SE2? I’m out!

  9. Premyy.M on December 1, 2020 at 5:31 pm

Anyone notice the UK of £419 is closer to $500 rather than $399

  10. Nuno Neves on December 1, 2020 at 5:33 pm

Don’t SE means Sex Everyday? Cause if you have one of this iPhones you can forget to have a life.

I want to buy an iPhone se 2020 for selfies .should I buy or not if not then suggest another 400$ best selfie phone.

  18. mark199 on December 1, 2020 at 5:43 pm

You stated that at £420 you don’t think there’s a better value phone – are you drunk? £420 can buy you a massively superior phone in the Android market – it’s not even close!

Sub HD resolution, a miniscule screen with big ugly bezels and a tiny battery – and you’re recommending this phone?!

I expect the Apple biase from American based reviewers as we all know Apple freezes them out but I expect better from you.

My trust in your reviews just took a massive dive.

Hey any iPhone users here that can shed some light on a problem I’m having with an iPhone I’m using,???

On instagram, when I click on the icon to take me to my profile, it goes black & nothing shows up.

I already uninstalled the app & reset the phone but no luck there!
    It’s an 8+

Nice phone though, and I’m considering upgrading my 6s with its failing battery and lack of spash resist.

  29. Stephen Spencer on December 1, 2020 at 5:57 pm

I have recently bought one of these having used several Apple and Android devices as well as set phones up for others (despite being into my seventies). It is a good phone, handy for a pocket, handbag or your hand. It works well as a phone or a mini computer, I don’t do games on these devices so cannot comment there. Recommend it, yes and Apple keep updated for longer than Android manufacturers do by quite a margin. Just be aware though of Apple adage, we sell you less for more. So gigging deep in pockets is an Apple necessity.

  37. Ve6aN on December 1, 2020 at 6:02 pm

  38. Nation on December 1, 2020 at 6:03 pm

My son was doing great with his online school grades. I decided to buy this phone for him. He’s so very happy with it!

  39. ShaolinDreams on December 1, 2020 at 6:05 pm

If they did the original SE design with edge to edge screen and pop up camera… I would be all over that and i bet a few others would too. I have a BIG flagship phone .. i need a little phone again for them times you dont want to haul your expensive brick around.

  40. Rob Plant on December 1, 2020 at 6:06 pm

Bring in a SE MAX then I’ll come back to apple

  41. Eli Leighton on December 1, 2020 at 6:07 pm

  42. Robert De Jesus on December 1, 2020 at 6:08 pm

Thanks for the video. I ordered the new iPhone SE yesterday and I was having second thoughts. After, watching your video I believe I made the right choice.

  45. Yusuf Syed on December 1, 2020 at 6:09 pm

I think apple can make a phone as good or bad as they want as expensive or cheap as they want and people will still buy it.

  46. Clover Storm on December 1, 2020 at 6:09 pm

You can buy a Samsung S9+ for cheaper than the SE 2020 and the S9+ has much better specs and camera

  47. The Tech Chap on December 1, 2020 at 6:14 pm

I guess it’s not about the size… but what you can do with it! (The iPhone that is) 😉
👉 CORRECTION: 0:52 the 11 & 11 Pro labels are the wrong way around! Whoops!
👉 The SE is water resistant, but I don’t recommend dropping it in water or swimming

  48. Jeffrey Sutton on December 1, 2020 at 6:16 pm

This was a really nice review,i’m getting my SE 2020 on Tuesday! I’m looking forward to it(despite all the negative reviews about this phone)! It’s a big upgrade for someone coming from the original SE! I dont need all the special gadgets and what not…especially since i’m not a gamer!

  49. James Clifford on December 1, 2020 at 6:17 pm

Upgrading android phones every two years? I’m still using the Samsung S6. LOL

  50. Bill Morrigan on December 1, 2020 at 6:17 pm

SE means (or hints) the S version enhanced. It’s a second generation but that’s all meaningless. It’s just marketing and somewhat haphazard naming hinting other things too (special, super, etc.). That said, it’s not a bad phone. The thing is Apple is just trying to get more sales and use its hype to fleece the lower end of the market. Again, this is not a bad phone but it’s 2020 and it falls short in many respects. And a lot of people will go ahead and buy it, although they can do a lot better than that. It’s for people who don’t want features and performance but the problem is you have poor essentials in it: a low capacity battery, a very small screen, and an old quality camera. All these three things should have been implemented properly while you don’t need a powerful CPU in this product but they put it in anyway — that’s because Apple never does anything properly, except for creating sleek designs and tons of hype. So…. This phone might get a lot of hate and the whole Apple company might get a bad rap for it too. That’s not acceptable in my opinion but little does Apple care of what is acceptable and what is not. At least they should have put in a better camera than that on the iPhone XR, as this phone has only one rear camera — it would not have broken the bank. The biggest problem is they just put in powerful CPUs and the sheeple will buy into this product hook, line, and sinker. Computers (and phones) have other specs besides CPUs! Okay, this phone has six CPUs (cores). So what? — Well, that means sheeple will go ahead and buy it as a new phone just for calls, pictures and simple stuff. The problem is that is wrong. WRONG! It’s wrong because that’s not why you buy a new phone or a computer. It’s not just CPUs or cores. What could they have done? Well, the following things they could have done: put in a 3.5mm jack (as on first iPhones), one rear camera but with latest picture quality, a slot for the second SIM/SD card, a good capacity battery, and a slightly bigger screen (at least 5-5.5"). That’s it. It’s very simple but they don’t care. Apple customers don’t care either but sooner or later more and more of them will get red-pilled. It can’t go on forever. I’m not saying it’s a bad product. All I’m saying people can do a lot better in 2020 when it comes to buying a phone. And this phone is practically identical to the Samsung Galaxy S4 from the year 2013 — at least it is just as slim and its screen is just as small, although the SD slot and 3.5mm jack are sorely missing (not on that ancient Samsung but on this new iPhone). And that was advertising of a decade ago — the slim phones! And they are offering it now?! If they do, I’m better off with the Galaxy S4 as it has a proper 2500mAh battery, a 5” screen, and and 3.5mm jack, and most importantly it is devoid of useless six powerful CPUs (that will only drain the battery) for crying out loud !!! Why useless? Because if you put in powerful CPUs, you’ve got to have reasons for it, and the rest of specs should be commensurate. You don’t put powerful CPUs in a laptop for browsing! That’s called scr…wing your customers! You put powerful CPUs (as in MSI laptops) for powerful video games or video editing, *not for pure hype!* If I’m being unclear, sorry. Here’s the disambiguation: they put into this cheap SE the latest CPU — the same as in their top 11Max Pro iPhone. And that’s pure hype and nothing more.
