im not realy sure about that working of drones… i have a huge ship with 60 defense drones, and they only react if that ship gets attacked directly, so basically my idea was to make sure my fighters dont die…. so now im here fighting a khak construction with 10 instead of 70 fighters, cause the 60 drones are only reacting if the big ship gets attacked, and if i want to make that reaction faster, i have to keep em on escord, but they will not intercept whatsoever wit hthe attack of the fleet no matter what command i use

    Epic, I had no idea

Can i fly a bunch of repair drones to an area where i deployed several laser turrets and tell them to repair everything?
Or do i have to fly around in the space suit and manually get them up into shape again?
Would really help to automate that.

Should’ve launched the drones close to the K, so we can see them fighting!

Keep up the good work, not enough information on X4 out there. Glad I stumbled upon your channel.

Hard to say if defence drones are worth it, the only way I could get results is when they are set on escort and I manually target a ship and order the fleet to attack. If they are set to defense they will try to dock in mid combat and attack all enemies/my target leaves less than desirable results. Turrets are ok though, I got the most out of them by using the two frontal turrets on my Cerberus to supplement my damage output.

how can u prevent them from launching when you’re just idling at a station and a RED passes by in the highway?

To help maximize your firepower you should change your turret settings to Attack My Target. Then you can target the subsystems of the larger ships and all 6 of your guns will focus fire.

as long as noone shoots the drones, do they stay? i remember drones from x3 having a finite lifespan and then they just explode or are gone

one mod adds in the arawn carrier to the argon, the thing can hold 100 fighters/m class 80 drones and it has 2 medium launch pads and 21 s ship docks, and i swear ive seen it once before but it sometimes shoots the drones out the sides of the ship cause its like a battlestar galactica style ship with my loadout on it, it costs 104 million it has 52,000 hold so you can haul materials into a warzone FOB safely with its 615k hull and 587k shield 32m 280mm autocannons 10 large plasma artillery cannons 4 large tracking turrets, and 18 m tracking turrets with a 1,060 heavy swarm missile compliment, a crew of 285, 450 deployables, and a avg turret output of 6,454 it lays waste to everything especially backed by a fleet of cyclops frigates balor destroyers and a arrakis heavy destroyer its devasting to stations swarmed with fighters and drones in a coordinated strike on a station

I love it in X4 if you could drop mines by pressing just one button or maybe "Shift+something" rather than having to go into the menu system as you then lose all control over your ship. You could then fly right past the ship you’re attacking a drop a line of tracking mines or Friend or Foe mines. After all, you can launch a missile by just pressing "L", then why not for dropping mines?
I’ve looked for ways to do it, but can’t find any… YET!!
