How much vintage audio equipment can you score in the Netherlands for $100

Today i didn’t left my city to score a nice 3 part akai audio set( akai AM-U5, Akai GX- R52, Akai AT-S7) and a Sony CDP-470 cd player for 40 euro. When I came in this storehouse I discovered the seller had more audio stuff he wanted to sell. I also scored a akai AM-55, Akai GX-52 , Philips 877 with 401 element and a Technics SL-3310 for a extra 60 euro. Hope to do more business with this seller in the future. He was very happy to do business with me because audio stuff doesn’t sell good in his second hand shop. I forgot to check out the records, maybe next time when I visit his storehouse……My eyes where bigger as my room space because when I came home I discovered I have no place to store these new things. I need a bigger house or I have to sell some stuff, starting with the speakers.

I admit I’m audio pervert just as you are Andrew). We’re sick, that’s true))
Technics M14, I’ve got it, an average deck, quite reliable though soft touch mechanism- and rubber-wise, it has very beautiful level meter indicator, cost me 12€ in almost mint condition.
Technics record player with direct drive in working condition costs around 100€ nowadays in Ukraine and it’s well demanded. 30€ is really good price for such record player.

Low end junk. Also known as PPJ plastic piece of junk. Im a vintage audio collector of very high price units and that set up is too funny to even sell.

80% of the vintage audio is crap but they are some exceptions which are far better then new audio today.

How about buying reel to reel ?

  20. maxiusz on October 20, 2020 at 8:21 pm

I just replace ma Yamaha RXV800 with Maratntz sr5006 🙂 I buy Marantz from first owner in "shop shape" for 200Euro and after calibration sounds amazing with Avance Omega 503. Andrew buy somthing like this Marantz and good Denmark speakers like Avance Dana or Dynaudio calibrate reciver and you will be suprised how good its sound and you will no longer say that vintage stuff sounds better. 80% of vintage stuff older than 25 years old is exploited have dried capacitors and after buying such a device you have to reckon with the costs of renovation to sound good and be trouble-free reciver. You have dozens of antique receivers on the shelves for which you could buy eg Marantz sr 7008 (500euro) and any speakers Avance, Audio Physic, ProAc, Kef (only references series) but i understand addiction is addiction 😉 Greatings

Leuk spul, goede prijs!

  24. René Nicolai on October 20, 2020 at 8:36 pm

Ik nam alleen de GX-52 mee. Mooi deck. De rest mocht ie van mij houden. Plastic zooi.

Can you sell any of the amplifier which you have it to me. I am from india.

  28. TecnoRH on October 20, 2020 at 8:48 pm

I can’t believe the prices. In my country those elements are sold for US$300 at least each. You don’t know how lucky you are. I love AKAI. And I love Holland and their people.

I’m not being an asshole, or at least… I’m trying 😀 but seriously, HAVE needs to be HAS when it’s in relation to the “the guy” 😉
