Stay in Touch with Loved Ones, Help Prevent Loneliness & Isolation
Age UK recently stated that over 1 million older people haven’t spoken to anyone in the last month, and that loneliness can be as damaging to health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day.

The GrandPad is more than just a tablet for elderly users; It’s an easy-to-use device with a range of supporting services, allowing older people to easily keep in contact with loved ones.

By integrating with the rest of the family’s smartphones, keeping in touch with mum or dad can be done anytime, anywhere.

Video Calls: See their joy
The GrandPad comes with unlimited video calling, making sure the older people in your life don’t miss out on those magical moments.

Boasting a crystal-clear dual camera and two high quality speakers, being apart has never felt closer.

Family Social Network App: Share memories with family seniors
Many of us stay in touch with family through social media, sharing stories and keeping up to date with each other’s lives. Unfortunately, many older members of the family don’t have access to this, meaning they miss out on valuable social interaction.

GrandPad has a free ‘Companion app’ which creates a digital family circle where you and loved ones can share photos, comment and interact with each other. You can even set it to automatically share your Facebook and Instagram posts to the GrandPad!

Phone calling: Say hello, anytime
With unlimited minutes included on the GrandPad, your elderly loved one can easily make phone calls at no extra cost. As the GrandPad can only be called by pre-approved contacts, you can have peace of mind knowing that no unwanted calls or scammers can get through to them.

The keypad function can also be disabled for those with memory loss, restricting outbound calls to chosen friends and family.

Snapping & Sharing Photos / Videos
Sharing heart-warming, funny or interesting camera moments has become part of everyday life. With the GrandPad’s high resolution camera, your elderly loved one can do the same. They can capture photos or videos with the rear or front-facing ‘selfie’ lens and share with the whole family or select members.

Super-Simple Design: easy for everyone
The world’s first tablet for elderly users, designed and built from scratch
With thousands of hours spent with seniors understanding the frustrations of using modern technology, GrandPad has carefully crafted every aspect of the design and functionality with elderly users in mind.

Intuitive Charging Cradle
Fiddly cables don’t work well for elderly hands and fingers. The GrandPad charging cradle takes away that issue; simply set the tablet in the cradle and a light will show that the device is charging successfully.

PLUS MUCH MORE!

This was a great explanation of all the features! Easy to understand and grateful you actually performed each function instead of glossing over anything. Miles has a great comfortable way about him and I bet he was the apple of his Granny’s eye!

Thank you for such an easy, complete and thorough explanation of this device. I’ve ordered it for my 86 yo mom and hoping that she enjoys it, especially during this pandemic when life alone can be so lonely.

  9. Amorika on May 15, 2022 at 9:08 pm

This video was wonderful. Due to Covid and the approaching holidays, we were thinking of purchasing a GrandPad for our mom since we won’t be able to celebrate in-person. This video really covered every detail of the GrandPad. Thank you so much. I feel like we are now making a more informed decision and have a greater understanding of all the different features and capabilities. I think our mom will love it. As an aside, Miles’s easy-going, informative and humorous style made this an enjoyable video to watch. Thanks again. Cheers.

The product is excellent but the ageist name and marketing needs to
stop! How offensive! With a name update and marketing revision this
product could be marketed to the disabled community. Think about this:
As it’s designed "for people 75+" I guess that disqualifies my friend
who could use the device but had a stroke but is only 70

Can the Amazon Kindle app be installed on this tablet ?

  14. lovepeace on May 15, 2022 at 9:12 pm

Thank you so much! For 6 months I’ve been racking my brain on what to get my mom to keep her connected, without me going fvcking bat sht crazy trying to explain to her how to download an app and not get phone herpes. Sigh. I love my mom but she is highly technology illiterate and doesn’t learn easily!

  16. John Fox on May 15, 2022 at 9:13 pm

Ape 2021 – Hi can you review Consumer Cellular Connect Pad ? Ty

  20. George Hightower on May 15, 2022 at 9:21 pm

I have never commented on a YouTube video before and believe me when I tell you I have watched 100s of videos. But I just want you to know that I found your review of the grandpad to be an absolute thing of beauty! I mean, you covered the features and benefits of the product very thoroughly and clearly. Great job there. But it was your pleasant nature and your genuine enthusiasm for the benefits you believe the grandpad offers elderly people that really impressed me so much! Your sincerity was touching and encouraging! So from a 54 year old man in Tennessee USA, I say well done young man! I appreciate what you did here. And yes, I am absolutely getting a grandpad for my 75 mother in assisted living! It will solve so many frustrating problems we have had with the tablet we try to use now. So, again, thank you!

  21. generalheadquarters on May 15, 2022 at 9:24 pm

    1) Can people from out of the USA/country call in to the GrandPad?
    2) And do you know how available the companion app is outside of the USA?
    3) Can you plug earphones into it?
    4) Can they carry it around with them like a mobile phone?
    5) Will the wifi signal in the home interfere? I heard it may keep it from working since the pad already has cellular connectivity?

  22. Average Joe on May 15, 2022 at 9:25 pm

Thank you for the senior based videos. They really help when the time in your life comes where you need to take care of a elderly loved one.

  23. kathiLGLP on May 15, 2022 at 9:31 pm

great informative video. 2 questions.. will a phone number be given along with the grandpad? and 2. .. can they use it to dial in for phone meetings? this is something that is done at the Assisted Living place lately for Bible Studies, Bingo, etc. due to covid. They need to put in a code after dialing in. oh.. one more question.. if a family member has a flip phone and not a smart phone, can they also be on the list without an app? or can they at least call/be called from the grandpad?… thanks!

  25. Graham Brady on May 15, 2022 at 9:35 pm

Whoops, here’s the missing u from your in the first comment I made. : )

  26. K. W. on May 15, 2022 at 9:35 pm

Can you port an existing phone number? Can this be used to replace as a cell phone and use cellular or is it only for use on WiFi?

  27. Alan Moore on May 15, 2022 at 9:36 pm

Well done – best grandPad review by far. Lots of useful details. My mother and my wife’s mother both have one – we are already sold on the value. But living on the the other side of the world – we have never touched one – and we have little idea how all the features work in detail so this was invaluable in having a better idea of what they are seeing as they use the devices. I will second that the support is really quite excellent. Both our mothers have Ben as their support person. I’m convinced neither of them would have ever called for support – but after a few days Ben called them both, introduced himself, and as a result they now feel comfortable just calling him if they have questions. Well done on that.

    KUDOS!❤️ Awesome product! 🌼
Wish Grand Pad had been available for my folks.❤️ Especially for my dear mom in her 15 years living alone after my Dad got his wings. She was lonely too much of the time in contrast to being a dynamo in her family and community. My career kept me too far from home though I made several attempts to find work closer to my small home town. What a gift this is for seniors across all ages. Thank you.❤️🌼

  29. 20newleigh on May 15, 2022 at 9:38 pm

If a family member wants to add apps, say YouTube, Netflix, Amazon, Target, or CVS app, to the GrandPad for their senior loved one, can that be done?

  30. Li Zette on May 15, 2022 at 9:38 pm

can the language on the device be changed to spanish?

  31. Victoria Boundy on May 15, 2022 at 9:38 pm

    Awesome review! I’m sold.

  32. Shipper on May 15, 2022 at 9:41 pm

Exactly what games are included? Is backgammon in the list? If not, is there an option to add new games?

  33. Sue Seifert on May 15, 2022 at 9:45 pm

Extremely well-done. So much info given very clearly. Thank you!

  34. Graham Brady on May 15, 2022 at 9:45 pm

Yes absolutely I’ll share the review. Thanks for the reply and yes I agree Graham is one cool name, I feel lucky as they were thinking of calling me Keith : )
I showed him your video yesterday (he’s in my bubble) on my phone and he is being a bit obstructive at the moment which is a bit of a downer but I think he’s coming round to it.
He did used to use an old mac of mine to write his poems on so I know he’d have no problem using it. Unfortunately i can’t afford to get him the Pad at the moment so the only way he’ll get one is if I can convince him to pay for it himself, which is the main issue. He is well able to afford it and i know in my gut it will change his life and he’d think it was well worth the annual subscription. It’d do me a lot of good too as if he’s occupied with all the GrandPad has to offer it will help reduce the PTSD I feel every time I leave his house
and when I see his number pop up on my phone. Anyhoo hope you have a good day : )

  35. C B on May 15, 2022 at 9:47 pm

very thorough. but any Christian genre on the music app

  36. Graham Brady on May 15, 2022 at 9:47 pm

My Dad is 87 lives on his own, I ring him two or three times a day, we talk a lot. My Mum died from covid in June last year. He misses her so much. He’s still very active but now we’re all locked down he sees family very sledom at the moment. I’ve tried to talk him into getting the internet but he’s very obstructive about it and says he’d never be able to navigate a laptop or smartphone which I guess is true. Yesterday I googled ‘tablet an old person could use’ yor website came up. It was a HALLELUJAH! moment. I’m sure it will change his life and the life of me and the rest of my family. He will be connected to us in a way he can’t imagine plus he will be able to deal with all of the things he has issues with such as his household bills and bank stuff and any and all of the small big things and worries that seem to control his life at the moment. T h a n k y o u. The video was great by the way, totally honest and well just great. Cheers Miles.

  37. Lee Ann Powers on May 15, 2022 at 9:48 pm

Can you rearrange the icons so that the ones used most often appear first?

  38. coldcitydweller on May 15, 2022 at 9:49 pm

I think this could have a wider application than just for seniors. Also, I think this could be great for my mother who would appreciate a simpler interface, but I think the "Grandpad" moniker would really irritate her.

  39. Debra Nelson on May 15, 2022 at 9:50 pm

Instead of typing, does it have audio command recognition like Google or Alexa?

  40. SHARI WATSON on May 15, 2022 at 9:53 pm

Awesome review! Thank you! Also, loved the chuckle for the choice of word you looked up. Felt like a private joke to me. Hahahah

I would like advice. My wife’s parents in their 90’s are in a city in Ghana. They have no WIFI or other internet access. I want to put my music and faily videos on a tablet in such a way that it is very easy to use and difficult to mess up. How can I do this simple, standalone, bulletproof device. Tech support from me is difficult from the U.S.
