Honestly, the only use I can see for something like this is for scenes with lightning, explosions, gunshots, etc. Everything else is just a distraction, and doesn’t feel immersive to me at all, which is supposed to be the point of this right?

  2. Quadflopper101 on December 17, 2020 at 11:36 pm

you gotta love the technically inept, " the $60 led kit isn’t as bright as the $1k Phillips TV" or I think my favorite is "you’re way behind the curve, they make a way better $300 kit", what I find amusing is you can tell by the comments that none of the idiots ridiculing this $60 system actually have any of the other expensive systems they say are better.
what even funnier is, people didn’t buy these non-invasive systems when they could and now the only way you can get something like it is to buy one of the amazon or google invasive systems that have a microphone and require a cellphone connection so they can ease drop on you then flood you phone with advertising which relates to the information they acquire from the ease dropping, the morons are to stupid to realize they are actually bugging their own homes……

  10. Jes Ascanius Thusgaard on December 17, 2020 at 11:40 pm

You can NOT get it for screens under 55"
I asked a seller on ebay if it would fit on a screen under 55"
The seller said "I dont know for sure"

    I the replied:
You dont even know what you are selling?

    Seller then replied "Yes"

Govee has such incompetent salesmen that will also say about anything that will lead you to buying their product.

    It is sad to see

Nice video… Do you know if the camera can be Install on the Bottom (facing up) to capture the colors of the TV…..?

  19. laxiton on December 17, 2020 at 11:53 pm

    Comes in European version?

  20. Ÿ on December 17, 2020 at 11:54 pm

Damn. It doesn’t go big enough for a 100"

  21. Evan Birmingham on December 17, 2020 at 11:55 pm

not great advice saying to lay the tv down as doing so on some flat screens such as plasma and LCD, the plasma will alot of the time leak out cause a discoloration that will only get bigger and worse and the LCD you can damage the LCD crystals on the inside..

  22. Myrex Content on December 17, 2020 at 11:56 pm

  27. Peter Mewes on December 18, 2020 at 12:03 am

This item, as the "govee" LED isnt able to read green and yellow on most TVs. You only get a pretty laggy blue and red dominated (mostly random colors generating) mood-light…

  28. Arjan Oskam on December 18, 2020 at 12:03 am

Would this also work on a blue / greyish wall? Or would the colors loo unnatural?

  29. Michael Statia on December 18, 2020 at 12:05 am

  35. Gareth Lloyd on December 18, 2020 at 12:15 am

The version with the camera with video mode I cannot find anywhere in the UK. There are other versions of govee with music mode. Need to find one

  36. Not A Federal on December 18, 2020 at 12:15 am

Mmmm.. Nope! No camera for me.

  37. Maxime383 * on December 18, 2020 at 12:16 am

Just save up for a real ambilight tv. This is just… no.

  38. Neil on December 18, 2020 at 12:16 am

Until you can place the camera under the TV looking up (eg: on the tv units surface), so it’s far more subtle, not interested…

    What’s the background called?

  46. Lou Gonzmart on December 18, 2020 at 12:24 am

Never see how you instale the lights. Just big butts. Oops. Bad video. Make it ones

  47. Type Zero on December 18, 2020 at 12:24 am

How much did they pay u for this video? This is not even close, the brightness is so dim that it wont even make a difference, and has a goofy camera on top. Let alone compare it to Ambilight.

  48. Fred Finger on December 18, 2020 at 12:25 am

LOL "compared to the Philips Ambilight" (not Lightberry), "there is a delay, but… not so big", "well, you may notice that the colour are not accurate… but… eh, you know…"

  49. christopher Bryant on December 18, 2020 at 12:28 am

    Ambient

  50. Happy Rhino on December 18, 2020 at 12:28 am
