Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance Review
Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance Review
Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance reviewed on Xbox and PC by Travis Northup. Also available on PlayStation.
I badly wanted Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance to be an awesome co-op version of the pencil-and-paper tabletop RPGs I’ve loved for decades, but it just isn’t. It’s a bland, boring trek through repetitive encounters that’s filled with bugs and annoying design choices, and though it allows you to play alone you absolutely should not do that because it’s an imbalanced nightmare. I can praise its faithful look and feel, which captures much of what makes Forgotten Realms a great setting, but there’s very little else to recommend about this unpolished mess of a hack-and-slash RPG.
#IGN #Gaming
4 is harsh cmon, for the graphics and world design alone it deserves at least a 6, gamers have become so entitled these days.
No one cares about ign y’all’s reviews are a joke and don’t consider that everyone is different
Idk why hes so upset about that game, all RPG games are like that 😅
Did you say "decade long history of world building"?
5!
5 decades!
The words used in this review are hilarious!
Slog
Mind-Numbing
Joyless-Labor
If you can’t find this fun you need to stop gaming
Damn, I’m 38 secs in. How bad is it!?!? 😂😂😫
Did he really say Drist when it’s always been pronounced Drizzit* Drizz’t Do’Urden barfs in your face.
🤣🤣
maybe ill download d&d online again then, its still running after all this time which it wouldnt be if it had a review like this one =)
Fun fact, you can literally just walk past all the enemies and get to the final boss
there should have been option to put bots in single player campaign to fight alongside you. That would have saved the game.
Didn’t know you guys could give a bad review.
lazy bastards .make games like this
Everthing about that game is garbage it shouldn’t even be considered a mmo
It’s like a lame version of Lord of the Rings: War in the North
I’m playing it now and I’m really enjoying it. lol
Asked a guy at gamestop about this game and he just started shaking his head no and had a seizure
Whatever happened to Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance? That game was awesome.
Here is the flaw with what you’re saying. Not everyone you know is going to want to buy this game and create a party with you so you have to make it playable by yourself. Otherwise you wouldn’t be able to play it all and that isn’t going to work. Seems like you’re doing more bitching than anything else. Also instead of bitching what’s the solution and fix it.
any RPG is mind numbing repetitive! so ya
what with the thumb downs on this video? the review was spot on….wait…do some people like this game? get your heads checked, your not well.
Vermintide 2 gets and 8.0 and this gets a 4.0 … why?
sooooo it’s Marvel’s Avengers Video Game, but D&D?
Lmao bro why do they crap on every game
The game is worth 14.00$ now but it was 40$ when it came out. That lets u kno.
You KNOW it’s bad when IGN gives it a 4
Sometimes, IGN has some great game reviews with well written lines. This is one of those times. This game deserves every criticism it had. It’s an insult to D&D, it’s fans, Baldur’s Gate, and the original Dark Alliance which was leagues better in comparison.
Another amateur review from IGN. How about watching your own videos before uploading and adjusting the audio. Washed out microphone, poor editing.
It’s free on gamepass I’ll check it out on there
My friends told me to get this game off gamepass so it was free, it’s still a ripoff
Critical fumble
This game is only £19.99 at the moment maybe grab this
You know it’s bad when even ign didn’t try to make you buy this garbage.
looks like marvels avengers 2
Better to play Baldur’s Gate 3
It feels as if IGN just repeats themselves about every game. ‘The game has a lot of bugs.’, ‘The game is really repetitive.’, ‘When you play this first 10 minutes of the game, you’ve basically played it off’. This game is fairly knew. Instead of giving it a review after 5 days if it launching, you should wait till some content comes out and actually give a review. If IGN wants to bash on a game, like they’ve done for the past 4 years, maybe they should make their own game. Because this is review is…what did he say, ah yes, blane and annoying.
This looks like a nice budget game. Would be nice if it were $5 or free on steam for a month.
Yeas it was a wast of my money
Me over here playing Bauldersgate 3 with my friends laughing at how bad this game is in terms of D&D
Tldr don’t bother
Question: does this game play similar to baldurs gate dark alliance?
Is this only getting low reviews due to repetitive nature?
If it came out 15 years ago would it be heralded as a classic like BGDA?
Love the fact drizzt voice is the same voice actor of alucard from hellsing
Needs roleplaying, can’t have a ttRPG without the RPG
Damn was gonna give this a go.. maybe I’ll get back into Neverwinter instead…
Listening to your voice for this review is as monotonous as playing this game.
So this is basically 90% of all my games
Clearly, one would be much better served playing the enhanced edition of my game, Neverwinter Nights.
no one: " how many roast can u make in one video"
this guy:
WOW bro gave it a 4
That was generous lol
