It has been over two weeks of incessant destruction on Spain’s La Palma island.
The Cumbre Vieja volcano has been spitting lava for 22 days now. Drones have played a major role in collecting data and 3D shots of the lava and its effects. Watch this video to get an aerial view of the lava’s wrath.

Why can’t you get the animals off the island? They must be choking to death, that goes for the people who are still there.
Its only referred to as "destruction " because people want to live next to a volcano. But its really only mother Earth giving birth. And birth is not destruction. And yes people should leave as soon as possible and be safe.
At the risk of sounding callous, the only good thing I can say about these things is they’re supposed to help cool the planet. I don’t know how long it lasts however.

I cannot help but wonder why the whole population have not been evacuated. Surely, there has to be the possibility of a huge earthquake which could exacerbate the volcanic eruptions and potentially split the island? I have no scientific data to predict such a catastrophic possibility, but I don’t like the way that everything seems to be getting worse. Surely, if the worst case scenario doesn’t happen, then it’s fairly easy for the evacuated residents to return. Better to be safe than obliterated. Gerry Farry 🇮🇪
