Have you used a bluetooth receiver to add a upgraded subwoofer to a Samsung soundbar?

  2. Alfalfa on December 31, 2020 at 1:50 am

Considering buying an integrated amp and since I stream most of the time, my question is do I forfiet the built in DAC and go with an external like the Modi 3 like I use on my other systems? I don’t know if the built in DACs are better than the external ones. I am considering amps like the Yamaha AS 501 or the Denon PMA 800 examples. Also, do I forfiet the built in bluetooth and go with the BluDento like I also have in my other systems? Since DACs and bluetooth receivers get more improved, I don’twant to be stuck with outdated built ins in my amp. Any thoughts would much be appreciated!

Hahaaa, I was so happy to see that the AudioEngine made your list!
I’ve been using one for about a year.
I was not sure if I was missing much on soud quality.

Does anyone getting a popping sound on the Logitech like me? It pop in between songs when it’s all quiet or when I have no music playing.

ok this is a great vid , but one thing im looking for is to use blue tooth to mix as a dj , so im looking for a way to not have a cord that runs to my head phones , you have any idea what i can use ?

  7. skizzlemane1 on December 31, 2020 at 2:03 am

1:30 I don’t either dude 😂 you mentioned that the smaller ones seem to not sound as good perhaps it’s the fact that it’s really old tech? I have a BT4.2 adapter and can’t handle the degradation vs BT5.0 so I definitely can understand you not liking the sound., Bluetooth codec is almost up to full MP3 quality now days 👍🏼 and although I have a few wonderful pieces of “audiophile grade” equipment, I unfortunately don’t have time lately to listen through that. Hence why I’m here just trying to gain some knowlege… but come on man 😂 it’s the firmware that is the reason that thing sucks

You should check out Ifi Zen Blue DAC for $129 which is great for the price. High quality product supports bluetooth 5.0 and all the codecs out there

I am learning a lot from your channel, Thank you sir! Howerver I dont know much about blue tooth for home stereo. I have a Yamaha AV reciever RX-V565. With the Audio Engine B1 and or the Dento BLT-HD, you can stream into my reciever from my smart phone or tablet device correct, but can I also Bluetooth out to patio speakers as well? Also I assume I will need to change where the Bluetooth device is connected to on my reciever depending on if I want to send or recieve correct?
    Thanks in advance sir.

Nice video. I have been trying to find a solution to avoid wires running around my living room after I switched to a projector. Still can’t decide though. I have a 5 speakers sound system with a subwoofer receives a 3.5 stereo feed (still splits into 5 channels and I don’t know how).

Would the Bluetooth transmitters be good to connect to my computer (that doesn’t have Bluetooth cause I forgot to add it 😅) for my Bose Bluetooth headphones?

  13. Alfalfa on December 31, 2020 at 2:11 am

So listening to Brian Culbertson’s Colors of Love cd for the last half hour, I do definitely notice a difference with the Schiit modi 3 dac. More punch and more detailed highs such as cymbals and brushes on the drums. I’m using a vintage pair of Wharfedale diamond 7’s, and they sound great. It’s just my system in the garage and acoustics are wonderful!

Novice Question: If I want to listen to my stereo in the other room via bluetooth AND I do not have bluetooth capable speakers, then I will need a transmitter from my stereo and a receiver on my powered speakers, correct? Currently on the stereo, I have the AUX send (RCA) available or the B Speakers (bare speaker wire). I have small JBL powered speakers that have 1/4" and/or RCA inputs. So what do I need? Are all transmitters/receivers compatible? Thank you!

I need something I can connect to my school’s gym sound system….1/4” output would be best….xlr is good too . I bought an Alto Professional Total Bluetooth adapter. It works ok, but the range is a little short. The signal needs to make it through stage curtains and several feet away.

  19. Alfalfa on December 31, 2020 at 2:18 am

The first BT receiver I tried was a couple of weeks ago, called the Rocketfish purchased at Best Buy for $59. Hooked it up by itself, no seperate dac, and instantly there was skipping on every video I watched on Youtube on my LG android tablet. I also paired the Rocketfish to my android phone, and there wasn’t any skipping. So that’s when I ordered the BluDento and no skipping at all. I even cleared the cache on my tablet and that didn’t seem to help the skipping at all. So, I am sticking to what I know and have another BluDento on it’s way for my other system.

    Hi can anyone help me.
I want to bluetooth my car system and make it 4.1 or 5.1 surround sound.
I do have a bluetooth dongle with bluetooth 5.1 version using a usb input for power with a 3.5mm jack input. Id like to use a 4 way amp and sub amp in surround sound with a
Maybe a centre speaker later. Any suggestions

  21. Jim Luceplan on December 31, 2020 at 2:32 am

    Cheers ! I thought so:) Ordered the Blue Dento, will arrive shortly. I still find it difficult to comprehend that various BT devices would produce such a various sound difference, perhaps I will order a few more in the future and try to do some AB comparisons. Looking forward to these results ! {Nuforce Dac-9, Cambridge 851E, Cabridge 851W, Paradigm Tributes and Hegel H120 + Dynaudio Special 40 + Blue Dento}

hello buddy, thanks for the great video… but i have a question…what quality bluetooth adaptor would you recomend me to connect to a classic music system sony grx70 ?, is it worth it to connect a BT adaptor that supports LDAC o aptX HD that i can buy on aliexpress(there so many that i cannot decide)?, I want to transmit a better quality sound from my smartphone thru TIDAL, and also making config to my phone… is it possible to notice a better hifi quality sound if I do what I have planned?.. thank you , cheers!

  24. Alfalfa on December 31, 2020 at 2:37 am

I have a bludento bt hd and it’s a great unit. I want to bypass the dac to my Schiit Modi 3 but can’t figure out how to. The bludento is hooked up to my vintage Pioneer SX780

  25. Adam Carver on December 31, 2020 at 2:38 am

By chance do you have an oscilloscope to check if the signal is actually sinusoidal and is equivalent in power for both sides? I know I just got some cheap boards and found that one isn’t even a sign wave while the other has a severe voltage change from one side to the other.

Hello, thanks for the videos. I have a question – I would like to add a pair of Bluetooth speakers to my traditional HiFi setup. By that I mean keep the amp (Denon PMA480R) and wired speakers as is, just add 2 speakers without having to use cables. Is that possible? Thanks

  30. Jim Luceplan on December 31, 2020 at 2:42 am

Too bad about the cut off at 10:43 mins – What about the Blu Dento ?
