Yeah, I like the 1972 Zenith Chromacolor because it is 21" in diameter! The remote control is amazing because I can change channels when I’m on my sofa…what a great Idea! Since it’s solid state, there are fewer buttons like, tint, vertical hold, horizontal hold and that special feature, Hippie Eliminator (if you depress the button, it automatically eliminates long hair in the picture and gives everyone a 1964 haircut! Why do I write all of this? Because you need an advanced degree to purchase a new set and figuring out the model names (something like Q90LXLGBTIQ) is extremely annoying.

I’m sure all of these TV’s are generations ahead of anything I looked at in my childhood…but buying any electronics is so difficult nowadays. Would be fun to go back to the "boob tube" for a day!

First off, I like your reviews. But it seems like literally no YouTube reviewer ever takes a look at what the consumer reviews for a particular model or brand are saying. You can research all the major players, like LG, Samsung, Sony, Hisense, TCL, Vizio, etc….and there are so many problems with all these brands. Poor picture, under performing specs, defective after short periods, broken this or that. Cheaply made and poor quality control are big issues. Not to mention extemely poor customer service when something goes wrong. Maybe it’s time to reflect what the average consumers is really getting for their money.

Yikes, A90 had a blinking pixel already.

  5. Franklyspeaking on May 28, 2022 at 10:19 pm

Sadly OLED gets crossed off my list due to burn in… i use my tv as pc monitor as well, so no. Samsung QLED 75" will be my next probable model. just waiting for my 67" sammie DLP to quit on me. It’s just starting to have some issues after 12 years so we’ll see….

  6. MikeD-Tech-VS-Tech on May 28, 2022 at 10:22 pm

Love this channel for being very engaging informative and on the cutting edge. So that’s why I wanted to ask about the status of Glass-less 3-D TVs ! Why and what happened to them ? pros cons ? versus todays underwhelming 4k and 8k 2D display technologies?

The reason why I think this would be a fascinating topic is because at this point the film industry has chosen to upscale near all the 2K movies and master them at 21:9 which does nothing exciting for a home audience.

That’s where 3-D active shutter technology was far superior . Specifically with gold standard mastered 16:9 gorgeous 3D blu-ray’s such as any any IMAX or Sony , Avatar, Pacific Rim, Transformers ,related movies etc etc …..
So where are the glass-less TVs ? tied up in
Patent issues ? or is everything a cash grab for wall street and Korean Panels at this point?

  7. Jeff Hardy on May 28, 2022 at 10:22 pm

The A90j has better motion than the C1? Hahahha I wonder how much Sony paid them to Spew that nonsense.
The C1 has the best motion seen on a tv EVER!!!

  8. Armando Problemas on May 28, 2022 at 10:24 pm

I ordered the LG A1 (Not the Steak Sauce) today, the C1 is too rich for my blood. It’s gonna be used for streaming mainly (Netflix, Disnkey +, HBO Max, Paramount Plus) but also as a computer monitor.

  9. Siddharth Chaudhary on May 28, 2022 at 10:29 pm

WelI, I found a PS5, got a U6G at $399.99 and Pre-Ordered Elden Ring. I think I’m set! All in a day’s work. I think since Elden Ring is capped at 60fps anyways lack of VRR isn’t a big issue, right? Should be a good budget pick since I only play the Soulsbourne games anyway. Thoughts anyone?

  19. Aiming Wanderously on May 28, 2022 at 10:42 pm

I’ve got a TCL 6-series QLED and I gotta say I like it better than the Hisense.

  22. Chaos Tade on May 28, 2022 at 10:44 pm

best 75" alternative for the top 65" ones? I mean If I was to buy a C1 or a QN90A 65, what would be a very good alterntive in the same price range for 75"???

  23. פאדי סוויד on May 28, 2022 at 10:47 pm

I have a question please before I buy, what do you prefer samsung qn90a 65 inch or lg c1 65 inch or sony x90j 75 inch or qn85a 75 inch

  24. Erick Estrada on May 28, 2022 at 10:48 pm

I went to bestbuy to buy the a80j 77 inch recently and they didn’t even carry the a90j. I assume because the 83 inch is 8 grand and it’s a hard sell when the a80j is 85% as good as the a90j at less than half the cost.

  25. H S on May 28, 2022 at 10:49 pm

    Daniel!

  29. Kenn Lee on May 28, 2022 at 10:51 pm

What’s the best alternative to OLED, given all of the LED varieties?

  30. NeutralGenericUser on May 28, 2022 at 10:52 pm

Awesome, thank you! I would add the Sony X90J to the list for a mid-budget LCD panel with great features like 120hz, HDR, and FALD

  31. Dalmos 1981 on May 28, 2022 at 10:52 pm

Never samsung again…have tu7172, after one month motherbord drop dead, then screen drop dead, now will make change for tcl c728….And had samsung before series 6, and after one and half year drop dead

  32. Arley Corvo Lopez on May 28, 2022 at 10:52 pm

Really appreciate your videos. You guys make it easier for all of us. I’m planning to buy an affordable 85 inches TV for living room, to watch more TV shows and movies. Do you have a good list of 85 inches TV, to pick-up?

  33. Marshall Hosel on May 28, 2022 at 10:52 pm

    Thanks

  34. Cestrian52 on May 28, 2022 at 10:52 pm

I believe all OLED screens are made by LG Displays. So how are they all different?

  35. delboy on May 28, 2022 at 10:53 pm

    Lg c1 or g1 top…
    ..

  36. CosmoSix5 PSN on May 28, 2022 at 10:53 pm

I’m really close to the tcl 6 75"… The price for a 65" C1 is still significantly more money.. I just can’t justify that much money when I can get a great bigger TV. I currently own a 65.

  37. Barney on May 28, 2022 at 10:56 pm

The U8G it’s beautiful, unfortunately Hisense panels usually are pretty bad and you find dead pixels pretty often, also the 2.1 HDMI ports, have tons of issues, i get it for my series x and PS5 but have to returned because of that, such a shame

  38. J Franciscus on May 28, 2022 at 10:58 pm

But when are the 2022 reviews coming out?

  39. wild winebert on May 28, 2022 at 10:58 pm

i was thinking was Tosh.0 from that thumbnail

  40. pressrepeat2000 on May 28, 2022 at 10:59 pm

Surprised about the QN90A, as the Dirty Screen Effect (DSE) is something every reviewer has complained about and is clearly noticeable unless the picture is very bright. Terrible for a TV at that price, simply unacceptable.

  41. N Lu on May 28, 2022 at 11:00 pm

I appreciate their tests, but don’t agree on the result.

  42. Uncle Wilbur on May 28, 2022 at 11:01 pm

Can’t HEAR YOU!!!! ….waste of time

  43. Daniel Pettit on May 28, 2022 at 11:01 pm

  44. Ben Thomson on May 28, 2022 at 11:01 pm

Help!!! Really don’t know which TV to get. Definitely 75 inch but only interested in 4k movies and TV shows. Which do you recommend????

  45. Caesar Roe on May 28, 2022 at 11:02 pm

Sony Aj80 in my opinion is better than the LG C1 is very good TV for the value.

  46. Bill Frigo on May 28, 2022 at 11:06 pm

I have a LG OLED for my living room that’s about 1-2 years old but wanted a quick check in for the latest in top TVs for now, early 2022, so I can toss one in my bedroom. I don’t do any gaming in bed … PC mater race 🙂 … so the Hisense U6G will do the trick. Thanks for the quick overview, don’t need to get into the weeds for a bedroom TV.

  47. joe smith on May 28, 2022 at 11:07 pm

When all signals are 4 k u don’t need a flag ship tv,the only thing is picture motion may come issue!

  48. Hatem Saadaoui on May 28, 2022 at 11:08 pm

It’s okay Hisense 58" H78 series 4K ULTRA HD Android ? And Vs Hisense 55" A69G or 65" A68 G if you have any one to buy ?

  49. LeafyIsHere on May 28, 2022 at 11:09 pm

What game is the guy playing at 1:05

  50. Craig Hope-Johnstone on May 28, 2022 at 11:10 pm

Do yourself a huge favor, buy any other TV rather than a TCL TV. Sure they are cheaper, their picture is reasonable as are their APPs. However a major issue in the new models is Black screen which would appear to be either a design flaw or a software issue! TCL know about this however have not fixed it and trying to get this issue fixed is almost impossible with their extremely poor customer service. Really, do not buy a TCL TV under any circumstances!
