Best Selling Phone Brands (1992 – 2020)

Best Selling Phone Brands (1992 – 2020)

In this video we can see which companies sold the most phones in the 90s and 2000s. From classic feature phones to modern smartphones. Motorola being first to market led through most of the 90s but Nokia’s focus and nimbleness allowed it to overtake it towards the end of the decade. Nokia became the top cellphone vendor for 14 straight years. In recent years, Xiaomi and Huawei from China have been gaining traction in the western market, taking some market share away from Apple and Samsung.

I wonder how Samsung became so successful. Samsung was created in Korea a few years after the Korean War. And at that time, the country was so poor that nobody could imagine a company like Samsung or LG would rise as one of the best companies on the earth. As a Korean, I feel very proud of not only Samsung but also LG, SK, KIA, Hyundai, and more big companies that have its roots in Korea

It’s 2012 Nokia Decided with Patch Up with Microsoft, made their wrong step. That time if Nokia start using their Own NEW OS (Other than Symbian S60) I think Nokia Still Exist Today.
Again Nokia Launches Asha Series Bogus Product in India & Other Developing Countries in 2012-2014 period. That makes Customer Unhappy with Nokia, Shift towards Samsung.

In your other video with the best selling brands from 1977 – 2020 you show Nokia still selling units up to 2020, reaching almost 5 bln. I believe that is the correct representation because Nokia still puts out new models. Just a correction.. 🙂

  36. JHarley17 on January 9, 2022 at 4:29 pm

My first was for sure a Nokia, I think everybody had one. Had a motorola or 2. like 2 iphones. Switched to Samsung and have been there since the S4
