What is the difference between the KS7000 and the TU7100

  10. Tedy Djajawinata on April 8, 2021 at 4:25 am

Many thanks for the video! In my opinion, buy the highest end model in the category of your choice. In many cases, the highest end model of one category is better than the entry level model of the next higher category. I’ve been using TU8500, the Dual LED TV that’s better than TU8000 and not covered in this review, for gaming with my PS4 Pro. So far I’m very satisfied and glad that I didn’t choose Q60T, the entry level QLED that is significantly more expensive, but doesn’t perform better for gaming, compared to TU8500.

  11. Vince Ferraccioli on April 8, 2021 at 4:25 am

Is the Q90t $600 dollars better than the Q80T

  12. Eyedeas Never Die on April 8, 2021 at 4:25 am

Dont suppose anybody here knows if the tu8500 is better than the tu8000, or is this just pure Samsung marketing talk and the tu8500 ‘duel LED’ is just B.S

Your review is so good, very informative. There is one flaw in your review. You said the Frame TV has ambient mode, but definitely some of their other TVs also have ambient mode although perhaps not as refined as that of the Frame TVs, and you didn’t really discuss the difference in the amount you have to pay to get the Frame TV. I believe the Q60 – Q90 have ambient mode, and I believe even the TU9000 has it. Also although you make picks of which TVs are your favorites for different purposes you don’t always explain how you arrived at each TVs rating. Anyway at least you do a serious review and show a lot of knowledge of all the TVs and consider them seriously. Thanks for review.

  19. Michael P on April 8, 2021 at 4:36 am

Our experience using the 2020 Samsung 75Q80T with a cable box has been that certain channels and content are unwatchable due to Judder. Also, Fifty percent of the time when a scene changes the picture stutters for a half second as if it is figuring out again how to best decode the signal. This issue does not occur on any of our other TVs when hooked up to the same cable box for comparison. So, it is all the Q80T causing the problem. Through Netflix, everything was good, but 95% of our watching is through cable, so we were, shall I say, somewhat upset a $3,350 TV has these issues. I have never seen judder like this before on any TV, ever, in 50 years of TV watching. In fact, I didn’t even know what judder was until we had the Samsung 75Q80T. For an example see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8e8Cs8unCE

Need a TV for my bedroom good for movies and occasional gaming. Want a 60-65 inch that I can mount, and want one that has sharp colors. Which one should I buy?

  21. Kenneth on April 8, 2021 at 4:41 am

I initially bought the Sony x900h and had at least 5 separate issues with it within 3 weeks…Final issue was a complete green screen… I Ended up at BJ’s and picked up the Samsung 7 series (700D version)…. Half the price of the Sony, only a 60 hertz panel, no local dimming or zones… HOWEVER, I couldn’t be happier! One major issue with the Sony was the panel having dark corners, something common from what I’ve read with full array local dimming tv’s. This Samsung has NO dim corners, very bright (reviews said it was dim??) Sure, the Sony had a great image when it worked… Bottom line is I saved half the price and very satisfied with Samsung!

This was a great video, and I have always appreciated RTINGS videos/website. Can you get a different guy to do the video though? I can tell he’s struggling to talk probably because of those weird chunks stuck in his face, and its not pleasant to listen to.

  25. Justin Powell on April 8, 2021 at 4:44 am

Just found out about this website and their honest reviews, I appreciate it guys. Currently shopping a whole new apartment

  26. Jeshua Pearson on April 8, 2021 at 4:46 am

He mentioned that the tu8000 is good for gaming I just bought it yesterday do you guys think it will look good on the ps5 despite it not being 120 frames per second and no 2.1? I bought a 55 inch yesterday

  27. CFL-Tech on April 8, 2021 at 4:48 am

The Best Buy specs on their site says the TU-8000 is direct lit. 🤔

  28. Daniel Perez on April 8, 2021 at 4:49 am

Thanks guys for the great educational videos. I watched many of the videos before making my new TV purchase. I settled on the QN65Q7DR.
I also found it very helpful to read up on RTINGS reccomedations for picure settings.

Thanks for all your hard work!

  29. J on April 8, 2021 at 4:51 am

Man, it’s depressing that a $1500 tv is considered budget. I’ve noticed this channel constantly compares $1500-2000 4K tvs to $7000 OLED tvs and makes them seem bad, it’s really off-putting when trying to find a tv with an actual budget in mind.

  30. David Brewer on April 8, 2021 at 4:53 am

Just returned the Q70T. It was total shit. Ghosting at high speed movements. Back light bleed. Terrible wireless connection. Thinking about going with the tu8000. Looks pretty dang good on display at best buy

  31. Frank Gonzalez on April 8, 2021 at 4:53 am

Samsun has lowered quality and raised prices

does the Q80t have 4k 120Hz in gaming mode?

  41. Banzai on April 8, 2021 at 5:04 am

I was set on the Q80T, by now I think I’ll either wait for the LG 77CX to drop in price, or just save some more and get the upcoming C1 LG. I’m allergic to blooming

  42. Lamine Belkhodja on April 8, 2021 at 5:04 am

@Rtings.com  Good morning and thank you for your professional reviews 😊
Can I ask a question if you don’t mind because i noticed that the 4k VRR maximum for some TVs like the q70t and the q80t changed from 60 to 120 , so I have a question regarding the frame 2020 because you stated that you didn’t managed to test the 4k 120hz via the hdmi 2.1 because you need a 2.1 source .. so does the tv support 4k 120hz via the hdmi 4 and does the VRR maximum for 4k is still 60 or 120 ?
Thank you in advance for your professional reviews ☺️

You know Samsung talks all this talk about HDR10+ but that’s not even supported by most platforms or movies. I mean HDR10+ right now is on a TV I have and it doesn’t seem to be supported by anything.. I mean honestly Samsung idea of high-end TVs are LED TVs at just about OLED prices with what is always seeming the least amount of features.. I honestly don’t understand how Samsung is a competitor. Because I can tell you the next TV I get will not be a Samsung.. I only got the QLED because I don’t like the brightness or burn in of OLED an NanoCell Sucks especially the 2019 Nano 9 that was a blooming disaster.. don’t get me wrong the picture looks good relatively speaking but everything I watch is in regular HDR10 because HDR10+ isn’t supported anywhere worthwhile.. if I’m wrong and it is supported on things like Vudu HBO Max Disney+ or even one day soon games like Dolby Vision will be please let me know. Outside Amazon Prime which we all know is not really worth spending a dime on when it comes to movie platform I don’t see this technology supported anywhere or worth wasting the money.. it would be better to go off brand and get a QLED TV that actually packs features unlike Samsung’s bare minimum proprietary only TVs

  48. Sus on April 8, 2021 at 5:11 am

Is there a noticeable difference between q60t and q70t apart from the specs? I’m not a gamer – will I notice the hz (60 vs 120) difference in movies and sports and is the more powerful processor in q70t noticeably better for an average consumer? Will I gain any function of hdmi 2.1 other than the next gen console which I’m not intending to use. Help me decide, please! Thank you!
