Completely diagree. At least 15.6 inch screen to see clearly values and knobs from software. Those small laptops are light and thin but will offer small heat cooling options and less USB ports. Also have only one RAM port. What you need is AMD new line of processor 4000 family.16GB of quick RAM and plenty of USB ports ( 3x is ok) and quiet laptop cooling fan. This video does not even give specs of each machine.
This is clearly commercial you to buy.

Where’s the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14? The best laptop at the moment and possibly the best laptop ever. This list sucks.

I have been searching for a laptop for a few weeks and wanted one for music production and some gaming when I’m bored, I found the Helios 300 would fit the bill… Then this video recommends the same laptop. So this just confirms it, I’m getting the Helios 300.

  21. Vegas Cuervo on December 19, 2020 at 11:36 pm

Your "budget" laptop is $1,000 and your #1 choice is a Macbook?? Take this guy’s advice with a grain of salt.

  22. Shane on December 19, 2020 at 11:37 pm

1:10 did you just say EDMs? There goes all your music production knowledge credibility.

  23. joe corelli on December 19, 2020 at 11:38 pm

i’ve had a dell xps 13 for two years, and now i have to reinstall the audio drivers every time before i start producing or else i’ll hear subtle, random crackling. also, the cpu is not great and the screen is… well 13 inches. it’s pretty small. i wish i got a 15 inch for producing

  24. Sam Gillies on December 19, 2020 at 11:39 pm

…and not mentioning latency issues with the Dell XPS? Anyone considering one should google it (I had a near miss and sent back an inspiron)!

  27. Zach on December 19, 2020 at 11:42 pm

Great video. Iโ€™m considering the 16 inch MacBook Pro. Iโ€™ve already decided on the 1 TB. 16 GB of ram is plenty for music production. But Iโ€™m torn between the i7 and i9. Iโ€™m primarily going to be using the laptop for recording and producing, so is it worth upgrading the core?
