i appreciate this video, im starting out in vlogging and im not a cheap person with my hobbies by no means (saltwater aquarium addiction) but its great to see that you do cater to the cheaper side and dont just go for the big guns!

I’ve developed some issues with my release since coming back to the sport and I got a DJI Osmo Mobile 3 but
the damn thing literally overheated and turned itself off within 30 minutes of it’s first use. I basically paid $200
for that piece of shit! Thanks for the video.. rushing to go purchase that $18 one RIGHT NOW RIGHT NOW!

The Rode mic sounds more natural or more like it surrounds you whereas the iPhone mic is more directional and a bit less natural, more compressed.
Hey this was a great video! We use an Android for our videos, but this was pretty enlightening. We have 2 of those $20 selfie sticks and they are very versatile! Can keep it short for talking to the audience, but also extend the stick and set on a chair when we do videos in restaurants. For sound we have a separate audio recorder and it all goes into the editing suite afterwards.

would u suggest using the cellphones internal mic for even an interview setting? Like if im walking around talking to someone? im worried about capturing audio behind and in front of the camera

Ok so completely unrelated to the topic of the video but I’m deaf and wear hearing aids, and 3:27 the part with the loud background noise and you can hear the microphone cutting out, that’s a pretty close representation to what it’s like when I’m trying to hear someone in a really noisy place, not exact but close. Thought thought I’d share cuz I’ve never really been able to explain it well 🙂

Hey Omar,, thanks for the nice easy informative video. So many times, I’m searching for video making subject matter on YouTube and all these presenters talk and talk and talk before they get to the two or three points of interest. UGG. I put that $18 selfie stick tripod in my Amazon cart and I followed you on Instagram. I’m starting to present content on YouTube just using my iPhone 13 so far. But I want to cut down on the wind noise and get a selfie stick/tripod situation going. Those are my first hurdles to jump over.
