Best Budget 5G Smartphones (2021) | Top 10 Cheap Blowers!

Best Budget 5G Smartphones (2021) | Top 10 Cheap Blowers!

Reviews of the best budget smartphones with 5G support in early 2021, including the greatest camera phones, impressive gaming devices, and serious specs for a low price. These are my favourite budget-friendly smartphones that have hit the UK, for under £400 – some as cheap as £150-200. So no matter your price limit, you’ll find a 5G handset that’ll tick all your boxes.

I’ve personally tested and reviewed all of these blowers, so check out my dedicated videos on Tech Spurt for more detailed breakdowns.

Best budget smartphones with 5G support chapters:

0:00 – Yakkity yak
0:57 – Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite
2:17 – Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T
3:07 – Motorola Moto G 5G Plus
4:41 – Realme X50 5G
6:11 -Realme 7 5G
6:55 – Oppo Reno 4Z
8:10 – OnePlus Nord
9:29 – OnePlus Nord N10
10:20 – Google Pixel 4A 5G
11:47 – Job done, time for tequila

If you want a great camera as well as that 5G support, definitely grab the Pixel 4a 5G – assuming your budget can stretch to £400. For the greatest value for money, I’d go for the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite – as long as you don’t mind MiUI. Otherwise, the Moto G 5G Plus offers a mostly stock Android experience.

What’s your own favourite affordable phone in 2021? Check out my other round-ups including the best mobiles under £400, £300 and £200, plus the greatest camera smartphones that you can buy right now.

Okay so I purchased the Mi 10t Lite 128gb for 209 gbp on offer on amazon, it came and was great. Bit big and heavy, but charged fast and speakers were great. The screen was just so dim. Idk if bad panel but I could not cope.

Oppo Reno4 z 5g went on offer and is still on offer in UK at 204gbp for the white model, which has 8gb of ram so I jumped and ordered it with the enco free headphones. It arrived and I compared both to make sure I should be sending the mi 10t lite back and my conclusion is this.

Mi 10t lite – better battery and much faster charging
mi 10t lite – much better sound with that top firing speaker.

Oppo reno4z – much better screen, its night and day differance.
Design is better, lighter, sleeker, better build as the xiaomi feels premium but just so bulky and awkward to hold.

miui is much better than colorOS imho.

Pics on both were good, 10t lite more balanced, the reno4z more poppy so i think its 50/50

I like eco system and the enco free buds were much better than xiaomi buds 2 basic

Im keeping the Oppo reno4z due to just size, build, better fingerprint scanner, better face unlock, faster operation but most importantly the SCREEN. Now I have not checked out either realme devices as they seem to be similar to the oppo and idk if I can bring myself to set up a third phone, but maybe the realme 7 5g might be a good shout too. Happy with the reno4z right now!

I’ve had my oppo Reno 4z 5G since January and the problems I’ve had is that it keeps freezing and now very slow internet on the WiFi so I have to keep turning WiFi off. Some of the problems only started after the update to android 11 so I have to send it back….

Hi, can you please advise which of these 5g phones (specifically the Moto G 5G Plus) can be physically tethered via USB cable to a PC to give it use of the 5G internet, OR is this only possible as a WIFI hotspot?

What surprises me is the number of 4G only phones that are still being released.
I remember when 4G reception was released phone companies almost immediately seemed to stop releasing 3G only smartphones.

  25. Asa Fortney on June 21, 2022 at 12:15 am

Note for buyers! 5G will not work in the united states on most of these phones.
