    Denon over arcam are you for real!
    Denon receivers are great if one like having a soundtrack loud all of the time but when one has got the volume on low to medium that’s where one can’t hide the quality of its sound. A good quality AV doesn’t just sound good on high volume it should sound good on low volume too! after auditioning a couple of Denon receivers the 3600h and the 6500h ‘there anything but quality’ all one can hear is the Transformers hammering away in the background! Lol

    I want to install 5.1.2 system in my bedroom sized 12 ft (l) * 15.5 ft (b). I’ve heard onkyo hts5805 and i loved it.

    I am confused between:
    1. Onkyo hts5805 home theatre
    2. Onkyo hts7800 home theatre
    3. Onkyo txrz820 receiver + sksht588 combo
    4. Denon x2600h receiver + sksht588 combo
    5. Denon x2700h receiver + sksht588 combo
    6. Onkyo txrz720 receiver + sksht588 combo
    7. Onkyo txnr686 receiver + sksht 588 combo

    Request you to please help me out to arrange the above list in a decending order of their audio + video quality and to match with my tv and room size, so that i can make my purchase decision.

    I am a recovering audiophile, meaning that 2 channel audio sound reproduction is still at the top of my list but I’ve had to make some compromises due to having one room for audio/video in the house. that compromise comes in the form of a 5 channel AV receiver that can "switch" to 2 channel close to "audiophile grade" sound reproduction when needed. I’ve tried this with an anthem MRX-710, oppo BDP105D Cd player, paradigm studio 20’s with center and sub, and set it up so I can listen to the 2 channels / sub combo when listening to music. the result? the MRX was by far the most musical sounding (at the time) at reasonable sound levels, but not great.
    The question: Why can’t there be an amplifier that does both? I’ve read it cannot be done, but I call bullshit especially if the expectation bar is not set too high. its 2020, AI, robotics, et al is making incredible strides so someone mfr out there needs to know there is a market for a "do all reasonably well" amp, especially for me.

    Hi. I am looking for some help to decide what to do? I have an old, but very good, Rotel RSP-1098 AV processor connected to two RMB-1066 amplifiers. However, my system lacks HDMI support, Dolby digital Plus, TrueHD and Dolby Atmos. I cannot afford a top Rotel or Marantz up to date processor. So, I am not sure if I should look for a HDMI multi-channel DAC with 7.1 analog output to connect to 7.1 analog input of my processor or to replace the RSP-1098 for a Marantz SR-5014 or Yamaha Aventage RX-A880, both in my budget. Any suggestion?
