Whoever makes these videos are talented. But a lot of games included I have never heard of and don’t look appeling. When I good game does pop up I get happy and then it goes to another boring one. For 1999 you should only include the good ones and some boring ones. Not trying to be a jerk just sharing my opinion.

I have fond memories of 98. More and more 3D accelerated games (me- a Diamond Viper 330 (2D/3D) and 2x 12meg Voodoo cards in SLI) on PC came out and it was the year I first got a cable modem. Like you have said you can’t think of all the games and list them. But two come to mind from 98 that I really enjoyed; Might and Magic 6 and Starsiege Tribes. I have been enjoying your videos; nice job!

god damn 1998 was an epic year in gaming
Some of these games were great. Most were dull, boring and irritating.
In my opinion This was the best year in the history of videogames…only for Metal gear in PS, Ocarina of time in N64, Half Life in Pc and….tecnically first editions of pokemon red blue and yellow in the rest of the world to the Game Boy (and Game Boy Color that was born in this year) only for this 4 pillars is enough….but: Banjo Kazooie? Resident Evil2? Grim fandango? Wario land 2? House of the dead 2? Goemon great adventure? Spyro the Dragon? Army men?…L….S…D….Dream…simu…..Ok this is Weird, but, Fucking one, nine, nine, eight!!
I was a little iffy on some of these games too, but c’mon – this is one person’s "best of" list. There were a lot of schmups and RPG’s in these videos, and I’m not a huge fan of those… but hey, I still thought it was a cool retrospective. Maybe I’ll make my own list some day.
Anyhow, thanks for all the videos! I learned a few things, and I was able to put a name to some games I had completely forgotten about.

I was already becoming a serious gamer before this year (started in 1993) but 1998 is the year that sealed my fate and changed my life forever as a gamer with all of the legendary PS1, N64, and PC games that came out, still reliving 1998 on my PS1 even while life has me down living in a travel trailer. I miss 1998 so much, hope I can somehow bring my life back to the way it was before someday…

Best year for gaming ever
My only complaint is that the games go by a bit too fast, it’s a nice collection of games and music.
