I would avoid buying Samsung at all cost. Got myself refridgerator that makes sounds louder than my 21 year old refridgerator and customer service is simply terrible. They claim it is feature rather than bug and basicaly told me that they dont care at all about noise and my satisfaction. Feel free to Youtube it and think is this device something you want in your house

Why do LG refrigerators only last for 3 years? And why do they have no customer support I thought they were supposed to be a green company not filling up landfills with broken refrigerators. And you shouldn’t believe the repair technicians but you should believe the person trying to sell it to you that makes zero sense…. Believe the customers LG refrigerators are garbage.

I regret buying my Samsung fridge (RS26DDAPN) every single day. It’s poorly designed because it has airflow problems that make it have ice built up problems.
Listen to the repair guy, not the sales guy.
I am warning everyone who is thinking about buying a Samsung refrigerator to think again. I bought a new one and started having a issue with it. They told me they could not fix it and they don’t have any available. I was told they would refund me now they keep putting me off. I keep calling and get no where. It is under warranty. I have never dealt with people like this ever. I am going to seek legal action to see what can be done.

I had a good SAMSUNG for 14 years with NO REPAIRS! The second Samsung specially ( Model: RF31FMESBSR/AA ) Was pure fraud! Now I set myself for an LG…we will see how this one is? I think is how lucky you are to get a good refrigerator! But for now, I am done with SAMSUNG.
Samsung is total garbage. Good luck getting any help or service. My ice maker has been repaired 3 times in the first two years of ownership.

Don’t buy a Samsung refrigerator. The ice maker will break after less than 2 years of ownership. There is a class action lawsuit against Samsung for their defective ice makers. The ice makers are very poorly engineered, and you will spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on repairs. Also good luck getting a Samsung fridge repaired, very few appliance repair shops are willing to work on them, and you will wait weeks, if not months for parts!
Both are junk
do not buy anything from LG
bought a fridge in July 2021
in september they send a tech to fix it… he failed….a few weeks later he tried again and failed again…now is December and we still have a unpluged broken fridge

if they have a 10yr warr on the parts then why are people so upset that its costing them hundreds of dollars to fix the ice maker or compressors
Samsung and LG both had issues with their refrigerators; LG linear compressors failing and Samsung ice makers freezing. Both manufactures have redesigned their parts respectively. Samsung now offers a 2 year parts and labor warranty on the ice maker and LG offers a 5 year labor warranty on the compressor. Every (new/renovated) house that I visited all have a Samsung or LG fridge/appliance. Since there are more Samsung and LG appliances out there compared to American brands, repair techs will tell you not to purchase a Korean appliances since they work on them the most.
LG’S suck…look online for mega complaints
LG‘s linear compressor is quiet, efficient but not very reliable. There are even some lawsuit cases about the compressor failure. On the other hand, Samsung has the ice maker problem. I’m struggling right now. May be I’ll leave that to the coin to make the call ! BTW, Bosch is another good alternative but 20.5 cu. ft. capacity …….!!!
To y’all people who want to say LG sucks & don’t get it because of the compressor issue… first of, that issue was from 2013 through 2017 models. The ones now are way better. I know because we have one & ours are still going strong. We love our LG instaview fridge!
As technician would like to say. Yes both brands have problems. But Samsung more reliable brand.
LG the worst refrigerator brand have ever seen.
I have an awfull experience with samsung, first no the brand neither the sellers stand behind samsung products, second their fridges require to much maintainance, the ice maker freezzes and locks every 2 month and the cold air outlets on the fridge side gets cloged with ice every 6 month, third the freezer drawer opens half the way of the capacity making it very uncomfortable to store o bring out the food out of the freezer.
As for the ranges the burners simply stop working very soon, the first one stoped working after one year and shortly after that a second one started to fail hence the safety sensor turned on and never ever again allowed to auto clean the oven, tried to call for the warranty and it was a daunting task, and try to repare with a technician was so expensive that was better to buy a new one. I also had trouble with the washing drier machine and afer all this issues I wont ever buy anythig samsung, not even for free. The life is not meant to worry about appliances or spend your free time giving mantainance. This man is not being sincere

Please be apprised that LG support is extremely poor. They are still having ongoing problems with their compressors. The BBB (better business bureau) has 4 times as many complaints about refrigerators than any other brand. My LG refrigerator lasted only 2.5 years. After 4 attempts they could not fix it. After 6 months of seeking a partial refund, they finally sent email refusing any offer and said the case was closed. I hope yours works-out OK, for everyone else, please consider a GE Profile, Frigidaire, Whirlpool or Bosch because they have an adequate support/maintenance program.
