How could you POSSIBLY overlook DOKI DOKI?!?!?!

  2. hard mode on May 11, 2022 at 7:50 pm

you need to make another one but with games in actual development state

  3. John Oliver on May 11, 2022 at 7:51 pm

Never played any of these games and the commentary makes me less to try honestly. Fez looked interesting to me at one time, the gameplay looks confusing and makes my brain hurt.

  4. Stan Tobias on May 11, 2022 at 7:52 pm

    Shout out to Bright Memory

  5. Eddy S on May 11, 2022 at 7:52 pm

I’m not sure id World of Goo was a one man show or not – it’s certainly Indie, and very much worth checking out!

  6. whitetailprince on May 11, 2022 at 7:56 pm

wow, i have played all but two of these. and thats because one is a bullet dodge, and another a bullet hell. guess what type of game i suck at.

  7. MisterOddStuff on May 11, 2022 at 7:58 pm

You should definitely shout out more Indie titles! This was a fantastic list

  8. Gamesta100 on May 11, 2022 at 7:59 pm

Stardew Valley is the only one I have played and am I currently playing it again. I’m on year 3 on my current game.

  9. Caffeine & CHAOS on May 11, 2022 at 7:59 pm

Wow. I am surprised FNAF didn’t make it.

  10. EvilJ069 on May 11, 2022 at 8:00 pm

If these 8-bit simulators were made by one person, why did it take companies like Nintendo years to make something similar? lol

  11. Jeff Davis on May 11, 2022 at 8:00 pm

I have some of these on my "not played yet" list. So I need to check them out. When I hear Toho, a bullet hell game never comes to mind. Decades of Godzilla movies prevent that.

  12. LadyTarasque on May 11, 2022 at 8:01 pm

Loved Dust (I got stuck on the last combo achievement.. bloody hard D; ). REALLY want a sequel but I’m starting to think that it’ll never happen :/ I know the creator said he wants to explore other stuff but it’s like… he ever going to come around to doing it or has he changed his mind about it? (I know he said years ago that he’d do one, but not so soon). I hate the story being left unfinished..

  13. John McHugh on May 11, 2022 at 8:01 pm

FEZ really IS amazing! Shame about the sequel…definitely one of the saddest stories…

  14. Studio Tatsu on May 11, 2022 at 8:02 pm

one day I will be on this list…

  15. Tformerdude on May 11, 2022 at 8:02 pm

You guys forgot about Five Nights at Freddy’s. It was made by Scott Cawthon and Scott alone.

  16. muzzler24 on May 11, 2022 at 8:07 pm

    Iconoclasts!

  17. nintendians on May 11, 2022 at 8:08 pm

for those one person developer, their the best.

  18. Tomo Saki on May 11, 2022 at 8:08 pm

Correction Jules, Undertale is made by TWO people. Toby I assume being the head of programming it, and Temmie Chang as the one who did some of the art for the game. I believe that Temmie being a race of Monsters in Undertale, is her reward for helping Toby with the artwork of Undertale. I assume she continues to assist Toby through Deltarune. As the art style hasn’t really changed, aside from that unlike Undertale, Deltarune battles have actual colors and not the absents of color (black and white) that Undertale’s battles were nearly entirely that kind of visuals, instead of colors

  19. Da Arkuse on May 11, 2022 at 8:08 pm

Apart from the ones I already know about
Most of this list made me go "BULLSHIT"

  20. Hayes420 on May 11, 2022 at 8:09 pm

With 12 million downloads, I feel like my racing sim should be on here.

  21. MrCheshireify on May 11, 2022 at 8:10 pm

Technically Undertale had two individuals. On top of Toby Fox’s massive involvement, Temmy provided several bits of art for character design (including her own OC, TEM)

  22. Red Lasagna on May 11, 2022 at 8:11 pm

Honorable mention: Five Nights at Freddy’s

  23. Fredrick Beondo on May 11, 2022 at 8:11 pm

    FNAF?

  24. Rishab on May 11, 2022 at 8:13 pm

How come my friend pedro is not here?!

  25. Hayes420 on May 11, 2022 at 8:14 pm

What happened to Operation: Harsh Doorstep from BlueDrake42??? Search it!!!!!!!!!

  26. SC de F. on May 11, 2022 at 8:15 pm

I just finished Obra Dinn, and it is an incredible game that I would encourage everyone to try! So glad to see it on this list.
And thank you for your post message, Jules. I needed to hear it today.

  27. BrockoliG515 on May 11, 2022 at 8:16 pm

not trying to plug- even shamefully, much less shamelessly- but I hope of day I could create a solo masterpiece like this.
And Jules- you are the truest of ledges. You can almost bring me to tears with your closing remarks. Have you ever thought of making a book of your closing remarks? or a calendar? I know it may seem a bit pompous – but I really find your messages reassuring, and I would pay decent money to have those messages on hand when I need them the most.

  28. PSVR ASYLUM - GameCatTodd on May 11, 2022 at 8:17 pm

Runners up, Megaton Rainfall for PSVR

  29. Tech Mess on May 11, 2022 at 8:17 pm

I think Phasmophobia (year one) should be on this list. Dknighter created something incredible no matter how janky it was.

  30. Mathias Palmborg on May 11, 2022 at 8:19 pm

Were about to say Eric Chahi and another world. But he hade help with the music. At least what wiki Said.

  31. Νικ Νοκ on May 11, 2022 at 8:19 pm

wow i havent play a single one of these games but the fact that were made from a single person make them extraordinary …

  32. omer avraham on May 11, 2022 at 8:23 pm

    Nobody talks about geometry dash?

  33. Random guy that likes Horror games on May 11, 2022 at 8:23 pm

Well Hotline Miami is made by 2 people and Undertales full development is made by more than 1 people so yeah not fully 1 person

  34. Anachronologist on May 11, 2022 at 8:24 pm

Great List. All these games are fantastic because they were made by one person with a single vision of the final product, not made in a corporate cubicle. Obra Dinn is a masterpiece of game development.

  35. hypo webb on May 11, 2022 at 8:26 pm

    undertale gotta be on here

  36. Matt Blank on May 11, 2022 at 8:26 pm

There are really people ignorant enough to think game development is easy?

  37. Arcade Hunter on May 11, 2022 at 8:26 pm

do anybody know name of the game 5th on start of the video please tell me

  38. Roberto Crespo E Silva on May 11, 2022 at 8:29 pm

I really believe that Plague Inc should have, at least, an honorable mention here, specially because of the accuracy the game shows on pandemic spreading

  39. Tomo Saki on May 11, 2022 at 8:31 pm

About Dust: An Elysian Tail, there’s full voice acting for every conversation in the game. And each NPC is unique and has their own personalities. The one who led it hired help for voice acting every single character in the game. The voice acting fails are even on Youtube through who I assume is the dev’s actual Youtube channel. And some of them are hilarious! Also, Smash Bros Announcer Xander Mobius also played a role in Dust An Elysian Tail. He plays the role of the shady merchant you meet fairly early in the game, and continuously use his services throughout the game. Xander Mobius also voice acts Master Hand and Crazy Hand, as well as Persona 5’s Joker, in Smash Bros

  40. Sheriff Pablo on May 11, 2022 at 8:32 pm

    No Minecraft? No FNAF?

  41. Amy Carter on May 11, 2022 at 8:33 pm

Undertale. Toby Fox, you’re a genius.

  42. Tapejara 150 on May 11, 2022 at 8:34 pm

    You forgot Rimworld.
    a great game

  43. Bully maguire on May 11, 2022 at 8:36 pm

    Where is fnaf

  44. O-Man Gaming on May 11, 2022 at 8:40 pm

Depending on how you’re qualifying the entries on this list as "made by one person," Dwarf Fortress should be somewhere on there. Yes, the game is still in development, but there’s way more features in it already than most finished games. (If Cave Story is still getting patches and updates, it’s no more finished than DF.) Tarn Adams is the only coder. His brother Zach helps with lore, but Tarn’s the one doing the heavy lifting on the project. You might look at Kitfox’s involvement in the Steam version, but that’s all artwork going over top of Tarn’s work, and the Steam version isn’t actually stopping the freebie version from being continued as well.

  45. Demont on May 11, 2022 at 8:41 pm

I’m really happy to see Stardew Valley on this list, It is one of favorite games to relax to.

  46. Tyler2k Blog on May 11, 2022 at 8:41 pm

Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 & 2 is infinitely re-playable and also made by one person

  47. Shakashau Thomas on May 11, 2022 at 8:44 pm

Yass! Dust is such an absolute gem! Highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t tried it out

  48. Mark Jackson on May 11, 2022 at 8:45 pm

How about Life of Black Tiger or Samuel Ophillius that was made and produced by one person oh sorry you only wanted good games didn’t you!

  49. Mark Jackson on May 11, 2022 at 8:46 pm

I forgot to add the person’s name in my last comment that’s right the greatest (in his own mind) games producer of all time …….GILSON B PONTES!

  50. Jack Strife on May 11, 2022 at 8:47 pm

This list is worthless because 99.9% of indie titles suck and are a waste of time/resources.
