I am somewhat sad Pyre did not make it to this list, but to be fair, this featured mostly 4 player co-op games, and not 2 player competitive indies. Let alone one that focuses on the single player, and has been paid little attention (attention worth your while).

Couch co-op is making a good come back, but there’s still a way to go. Ironic that now we’ve got screens big enough to handle the detail of split screen with a decent size for everyone the mode started getting dropped. Thank you whatculture for giving a spotlight on this

Well seeing as my friends and I love Resident Evil. All of 5,6, and Revelations 2 were amazing games to play in co-op. If only Operation Raccoon City had local co-op the game could have been a smidgen better. Played through it once all alone and I will never be doing that again. *shivers* Never again.

Child of light needs to be removed because, it is distributed and locked behind an online requirement of PSN, thus negating one of the big points of seeking offline games in the first place. It might have 2 player local multiplayer, but it most certainly cannot be considered offline.

It’s sad this is all the offline multiplayer content we have in 2018. Glad I still have my PS3 and Xbox 360 and Wii for great offline multiplayer gaming even through system link!

I so miss playing games like Baldur’s gate Dark Alliance with my best friend on the couch. My gf and I are always looking for co-op games to play together and for the most part we use pc because we have 2 pcs and every game requires 2 systems now. (if they even have multiplayer)
Scott, please slow down when you’re reading. This one, and the last Mass Effect one, are almost unbearable to listen to. You’re speaking so fast that playing the video at 0.75 speed actually sounds closer to normal LOL!
