Man playstation killed it this generation. Hope ps5 keeps it going with some sequels and a new IP or 2. Wishing for bloodborne 2.
Doom Eternal, Hades, GOT and Cyberpunk(on high end pc) is definitely my favorite games this year

Everyone says how putting Cyberpunk on this list is unfair, but here I am still shocked that he managed to find 20 games when I only remember 5 games, from which 1 game was actually decent and only 1 was good

I would play the last of us if you didn’t have to be a girl, it looks like top 20 games of 2020 were as shitty as the year.
So nobody likes to play as a badass Viking in a open world RPG like Valhalla? but a lesbian Revenge story like The Last of Us 2 is on here no thanks respect to cyberpunk, Final Fantasy 7 remake, and ghost also.
No Demon’s Souls? I’m not a big From Software fan and I know it’s a Bluepoint production but that game definitely deserves a spot on this list!
Were you smoking Flakka when you made this list? Half of these games were pure horseshit. I’ve been gaming for like 20 years, that’s not very long but it’s long enough to know what a good game is, and they just keep pumping out taco bell bowel supremes onto plates, and all the dumbfucks scarf it down. Not me, you got me fucked up.
Honestly, Ghosts shouldn’t be number 1, it’s just another openworld action game along the lines of an AC game. In fact that’s pretty much what a lot of reviews, and my friends and I, called it; Assassin’s Creed Samurai. The fact that the developers added in the grayscale mode "to give that true Kurosawa esthetic and feel", but couldn’t be bothered to synch the lips for the Japanese voice track should be enough right there to disqualify it from being number one. Doom Eternal was a colossal disappointment and definitely shouldn’t have been as high as it was. Between the heavy reliance on clunky platforming, the damn ground tentacles, lack of ammo, health, and armor pickups, and the fucking Marauders, it reads borderline unplayable; but mostly, just not fun. And Cyberpunk 2077 even being on this list is a fucking joke.
All these titles on a list with the broken seizure game are now sus af 👀. Ghost of Tsushima? Do I have to wait for an official apology to find out what’s wrong with THAT game, too?

Thank you for not putting the last of us at the number 1 spot. Great gameplay .. but the story just didn’t work out. I literally played part 1 ten times. I couldn’t even finish part 2 a second time. Completely walked away from it . How is a game like that game of the year

Demon’s Souls the best remake oty
Ghost of Tsushima was fine but way too repetitive and its story was not very well executed. It was visually great and the gameplay was fun, until it wasn’t anymore.
Any game that’s forced to go back to the drawing board (Cyberpunk) should never make a "Best of" list. How about rewarding games that actually come out finished and not sold on the promise of what it could be eventually.
Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us Part II is my top 2👍
