Do you know how to replace the thermisto on the ausranvik? And which type of thermistor it uses?

  2. 0hleg on May 4, 2022 at 8:17 pm

I was thinking of putting a freezer like these on a cart and sell ice cream on the beach. Which one would you think is best for that?

  3. UL LA RC on May 4, 2022 at 8:17 pm

Why keep using that cigarette lighter plug, just us a direct connection with 8 or 6 gauge cable.

  8. Tom Frost on May 4, 2022 at 8:20 pm

No National Luna? No Dometic? Dual zone fridges?

  9. thomas on May 4, 2022 at 8:21 pm

Don’t see this question. If you don’t have a freezer in the 1 compartment, how do you manage your frozen food? So you have to change the setting higher every shopping time to keep your frozen food frozen?

UPDATE ON POWER CONSUMPTION: There was an error I made in the editing of the video, for example: The VL 45 pulled 0.828 KWhr total over the duration of testing. Converting .828kWh into Amp hours at 12 volts = 69amp hours / 96 hours of total running of the fridge = .71 amp hours per hour at 70 degrees ambient. If the temps are higher you get more power draw, especially at temps about 90 degrees. Sorry for the confusion!

  11. Tom Frost on May 4, 2022 at 8:23 pm

National Luna are hands down the best portable 12v money can buy. Really you should mention the premium options for those who want the best.

  22. ron hearell on May 4, 2022 at 8:40 pm

Great video but your like 10 years behind but the car lighter cords add right size fuse light pit farther put a 12v batter connection metal peace then crimp it and add it directly to the battery

  23. The Dude on May 4, 2022 at 8:41 pm

Indel B and Iceco are the same company. I found a post somewhere that had the patent info.

  24. James Horsburgh on May 4, 2022 at 8:41 pm

From Australia….. Engel all the way. Hot as hades over here and I campaign 2. 12 years…..never had a problem…..not one. Sometimes there’s not a cheaper option that’s as good.

  25. Oliver Jahr on May 4, 2022 at 8:43 pm

8 to 12w my Bluetti shows 80-100w on my ALPICOOL when compressor is on – but last a week on full charge

  26. gmcjetpilot on May 4, 2022 at 8:44 pm

8 watts? 8 Wh? That is really low. Mine uses 20 watts an hour (cycling on and off 35-45 watts running).

  27. Soe M Paing on May 4, 2022 at 8:44 pm

His next hobby should be collecting solar generator to power these fridges.

  28. Victor Andrade on May 4, 2022 at 8:47 pm

Nice collection, great overall explanation. Worth watching!

  31. Ev Sez on May 4, 2022 at 8:51 pm

Do you run an extra battery so you don’t get stranded (running your fridges engine OFF overnight) ????

  32. Blue Pill on May 4, 2022 at 8:55 pm

    EPIC VIDEO

  33. Nosteponsnek 223 on May 4, 2022 at 8:58 pm

They show 55 watts on the PDF for that refer 45vl iceco

  34. Phil Gray on May 4, 2022 at 8:58 pm

It is pretty astonishing the different prices these are sold for in different countries. Some that you mention as being expensive are the cheapest by a country mile in Australia. Lots of badge engineering though.

  35. Susie Johnson on May 4, 2022 at 8:59 pm

still confused .. you went over all the refrigerator aspects but I’m looking more for a freezer than a refrigerator

  36. 12vLife on May 4, 2022 at 9:00 pm

I love frozen fries and I buy the $1.68 bags from walmart. By chance does anybody know if an open bag of frozen fries can be stored for 4 days in fridge (not the freezer)? I’m asking in that my van has a small fridge i keep at like 30F so that can store salad , onions and green peppers for a week. I’d also like to keep otherwise frozen fries and vegan patties and hotdogs. I think it will be fine since veggies, but not sure.

The person in the background playing the “Shave and a haircut, two bits” with his car horn cracked me up! (5honks, pause, 2 honks)

  39. amelia alvarez on May 4, 2022 at 9:01 pm

I was checking out Alpicool, Vevor, Costway, and after reading few dissatisfied reviews, I checked manufacturers’ sites. SO, NOW, Just throwing a PSA: these 3 brands have 0 (Zero) months warranty.. I am not surprised that you have so many. They are disposable, as manufacturers treat them as non-worthy of support. Please mention any warranty, or absence thereof, in your reviews.

  40. Anna on May 4, 2022 at 9:03 pm

Do you think you could these as a full time freezer.

  41. Tommy Bronze on May 4, 2022 at 9:04 pm

Guys, thanks for the vid ! I came to check out what is available over the pond and see the take on different models and features, but the cigarette socket was a very valid point. I’m now prepping few things up for the summer season, so this and possibly LiFePo fallback might be a nice DIY thing to look into. (ps sorry for crap spelling :/)
