For a few years now, we have enjoyed the phrase “Netflix and Chill,” a saying with various intentions, but at the end of the day, is about two people sharing some time together and bonding over their favorite show…for a little bit anyway.
There is nothing better than sharing something with the person you love. We share so much with the people we care about; our feelings, our problems and, most of all the, things that make us happy! We go to the movies, out to eat and so on and so forth. Hell, we even have Netflix and Chill, something which starts out innocent enough but can have endless endings…if you catch our drift. In any case, couples gaming together is becoming more commonplace. We don’t like to rely on old stereotypes, but we have all heard of the non-gamer girlfriend getting introduced to video games by their boyfriend. We know it doesn’t happen all the time and that not all gamers who are girls were introduced to video games through their boyfriends, but even at its core, there is nothing more sweet. What may have started out as begrudging compliance turns into a shared experience which can lead to a stronger relationship. Today, we thought we would help out all of the new gaming couples by showing them 10 truly epic games even the most stubborn non-gaming girlfriend will play.

The first game I ever played with my now boyfriend of 2 years was Portal 2 (played other things before but searched for something we can play together) . definitely recommend to all the couples out there!
I’m a converted gamer girlfriend here, never played any games before i met my boyfriend and wanted to share what games he had me play:
1. Skyrim, it was super fun but boyfriend had to take over and help a lot with stuff I didn’t understand (this was the very first game i played).
2. Dark souls, I enjoyed the story and atmosphere but it was too hard and spooky.
3. Minecraft, super fun big recommend for any new gamer girlfriends.
4. The witcher 3, became one of my favorite games.

Girlfriend just started getting into gaming due to the Corona virus. In a week she finished Life is Strange, Heavy Rain and Journey. She’s really bad at games her way of thinking is very linear and the way she holds the controller is exactly how a boomer would do so only she is in her 20s lol
My girlfriend is a gamer.. She always asked me if she and I could play together. And honestly.. I would love to, but I’ve never played games like Pubg, Mobile Legends, Dota,.. etc. and I really suck at them..

The hardest thing about turning anyone into a gamer is their lack of skill. When introducing someone to video games you’ll quickly learn how challenging it is to build that muscle memory for controllers and M&K. Presenting them with games that require a lot of hand-eye coordination is probably not the best idea. Shooters, platformers and games that are challenges that require a lot of timing and coordination might not be the best for a first timer. My wife did not enjoy Mario, Portal, Lego games, etc, because it was frustrating. However, she really likes board games, so things that are turn based strategies are more of a draw for her. I’ve also seen some comments mentioning League of Legends. However, I know that LoL would ruin gaming for my GF, however, she loves HotS in coop mode. She doesn’t enjoy playing against other people, but she doesn’t mind playing with other’s against the AI. I believe this is why there is a demand for hidden object games. They don’t require any skill.

Best games to get your girlfriend to play in my opinion are games with a story like Detroit become human, doki doki lit club, or life is strange. Some others are animal crossing and minecraft too. Also, not really a video game, but seriously play pokemon go with her lol. Me and my boyfriend constantly play pokemon go together, and it’s the cutest thing tbh. It’s fun af.
Its very easy to make your gf gamer but its very hard to make your wife a gamer.
