I’m just returning to gaming and fucking hate where games have gone.
The hype and marketing is annoying but dlc and online multiplayer only games are a complete rip off. Is there any other form of media or entertainment where half of the content is just teased from behind a thick green door? Imagine movies had half the events removed or budget versions where the costumes and makeup look a bit shitty and the special effects aren’t as good as the creators were capable of and if you want the full experience, you have to pay 4 times what you have already paid for your ticket.
I grew up with the Sega, snes, n64 etc and stopped gaming about 2 years after cod mw2 was released. What has become ‘normal’ is daylight robbery and releasing products which they know aren’t as good as they could be in order to make extra profits after the initial sale is a disgusting way to treat customers.
