Iā€™m 22 now. Fell out of love with games when I became a teenager.
Even before I started having eye problems, I never had that fire for gaming anymore.
If only I fall back in love with them; although I now get bored of them easily.

The problem is that itā€™s not that video games arenā€™t fun or weā€™re getting to old bro what itā€™s that we donā€™t have enough of them all the new games we were getting were all delayed so now weā€™re stuck with money hungry retards that canā€™t make a proper game because there so happy that there the only game weā€™re gonna be spending our money and time on with all the other games being boring and only one game thatā€™s out that everyone is trending on of course every ones gonna buy the DLCs all the gamepass cause they wanna play as long as possible before thatā€™s get bored with only like just one game there is no competition you gotta deal friends telling to buy this or that so u can play together even though the game is trash but itā€™s new so it will get better just wait and that does you basically made sure everyone is gonna spend there money thinking ur gonna put more effort into it and so we get stuck with boring trash like vanguard or battlefield and when we get sick of that quickly we are forced to play old games that we left behind for something new only to get bored or realize why we stop playing back in like 2016 to 2019 we had plenty of games to play up to 16 or more to choose from when we got bored bruh over watch, Roblox, Minecraft, black ops 3, halo ,destiny, assin creed, gta, red dead,Brawlhalla, dying light,Fortnite and even more now we canā€™t really play them anymore because most of our friends are fed up this old stuff and want something new so we end up getting stuck by ourselves and get bored quickly at least this how I feel and my friend agreed with me when explained it to him video games can still be fun we just need good ones and plenty of sure halo can carry now but for how long plus if halo was the game that saved people from being bored then people wouldnt be making these

I remember Hit n run crash bandicoot PokĆ©mon Ruby rugby 06 and 08. Gta 5 COD MW 1 2 n 3. Bo 1 bo2… Minecraft it was amazing.. My escape from loneliness… Today I have no idea… It just sucks. No idea what to do… Gta 5 is the same old same. MWR is just the same. Madden the same. Minecraft the same.

The problem I belive is Tik Tok n Facebook. They are draining us.

If you ask me, What is fun?
    I’d tell you,
    Truly, I don’t know.

  10. SaBiH on January 25, 2022 at 4:34 pm

This happened to me and I didn’t know what to do for 2 months but then I suddenly realized, I had stopped playing with my friends. I was only playing alone and when I started playing with my friends again it was just as fun as it was before

thanks for the xplenation man šŸ™‚ sometimes i wish those old days could come back when i and some friends had fun for hours at a time being stupid idiots like we are but now adays we barly play games and if we do we almost dont have alot of fun

  12. So That's Devintart on January 25, 2022 at 4:35 pm

I believe that can still be fun, you just need to know where to look. The interesting thing to me about games is that there is almost 40 years of Gaming history most people havenā€™t even experienced, that might be because I personally enjoy the process of figuring out out how to make an old game run on my high end PC, and maybe itā€™s just me trying to fill a void, but then again I think itā€™s nice to see what games people played 20-30 years ago. Itā€™s kind of an autistic niche I personally enjoy and recommend.

So your going to bring one of my biggest problems straight to my face, without a solution… You sir need to leave.

  14. bookworm on January 25, 2022 at 4:35 pm

i believe that all the fun in games doesn’t necessary come from the game itself but from the experience of playing it for the first time.

think back to when you played minecraft for the first time, or for me my most nostalgic moment was the first time i ever played mario kart wii. i remember it quite well, it was the first ever game console me and my brother got and i can remember playing non stop all day, coming home from school just to race in those same tracks and listen to that same music over and over. but it was fun.

i recently re opened my wii and played mkwii and i got really sad, remembering how much happier i was back then. but it didn’t last long, i had to go back to studying for my midterms like i do everyday now for the last two months.

but that hour that i just put my phone and books away and just re- lived my childhood gave me the tiny bit of happiness that i hadn’t felt in a while.

  15. MaxNotWell on January 25, 2022 at 4:36 pm

You’re right that fun is subjective because i completely disagree that video games aren’t fun cus i think they are yk

  16. Michael Arrowood on January 25, 2022 at 4:38 pm

"Fun" for me would be any video game that has evolved past the "enemy-shoot-kill-score-kill-more-enemies" mode I encountered 30 years ago. I check in on video games every few years… same old crap, decade after decade. Still waiting for intellectually challenging (and I don’t mean puzzles!) games that inspire and delight, without having to kill every being you encounter. Video games suck, if you have a brain. Still waiting…

  17. RuziannK on January 25, 2022 at 4:40 pm

My video game fun peak was 2012-2017, a very lovely time, either playing with my best friends and alone. After 2018, i could feel that I desperately tried to find something, Xbox 360, Xbox one, PC, whatever. I’m lost on "Games" since then.
Nothing is fun anymore, it kinda doesn’t matter what game it is, me and my friend, we install it, 30 minutes later "Let’s search for something else" and we uninstall it.

One bad fact here is that the game prices (Any platform) here on Brazil are seriously expensive. So we need to wait for offers or just hunt for a good and cheap game. It’s not easy, it has never been.
We are about to quit, everything about games, whatever platform, i have to say, I loved every single day of a good game I’ve played, but it looks like it’s time to move on.

  18. Jhomicide on January 25, 2022 at 4:40 pm

Only made it to the 1min mark and decided to comment yes that’s exactly how I’m starting to feel and it makes me sad, because I’m passionate about gaming in the competitive way and fun way. The developers are some what to blame but not entirely anymore games are just getting boring in general the fact of playing just doesn’t give a rush like it did years ago… šŸ˜„

As a kid I always wanted multiple video games like gta and minecraft but when I got them it was just normal and it became boring

  26. idontknow whatimdoing on January 25, 2022 at 4:49 pm

Games are also not being released finished as well, so I feel that there isn’t anything new to do. Games not being finished on release isn’t the game developers.

  30. lew on January 25, 2022 at 4:59 pm

I am the lew at the start and the lewkn at 5:22 , can confirm playing TF2 was one of the best nights of my life. And playing The Forest through with you, tom and thom, single handedly made The Forest my favourite game of all time. It is truly sad to see everyone grow up and the games we loved fade into memories but it is nice to look back, my one hope is that a game comes out and brings us all back together one day. Love you man.

games are not fun anymore because when we were child we make everything fun …
i actually think about video games some times but now it’s just a thing to pass time, i have other things to do like train calisthenics…

    so now what?

  40. isaiah kelleher on January 25, 2022 at 5:13 pm

I would have to add that a major reason why video games are no longer fun. It’s because of dopamine overstimulation we are feed so much dopamine all the time that the things we use to enjoy no longer create that connection.

  41. VoiD on January 25, 2022 at 5:15 pm

    Father time lol.

  42. Kenstar Three-Six on January 25, 2022 at 5:15 pm

I mean yeah work, relationships, general life stuff makes enjoying time-consuming things like video games… not really enjoyable-
but if you take all of that away, I can say for myself at least, I’m striving for more in life than just climbing ranks or finishing a campaign,
and I think that’s a great thing everyone should experience as they grow.

Just go to Outland, you’ll have more fun and make more progress there anyways. Ya know?

Man I felt this I wish I could enjoy my games again it just feels like I’m not good at them anymore or enjoy them anymore it sucks

  45. Salty_rookie on January 25, 2022 at 5:18 pm

I remember playing Overwatch with some of the guys in my class. It was so much fun, Overwatch was fun back then. What has happened? I really want to play with them again, with someone. Sadly none of my friend really play any videogames. Apart from roblox. I think that is what makes most video games fun, getting to share that experience with others. I almost never touch my Ps4 nowadays, as thereā€™s nothing to play anymore. But around 2 years ago I was glued to it.

Sorry for the rambling, but is anyone else agreeing here?

  46. CRESCENT MOON on January 25, 2022 at 5:19 pm

it’s not that the video games have stopped becoming fun it’s we and our life’s that started becoming boring

  50. C C on January 25, 2022 at 5:22 pm

I think for me, it’s been the extra responsibilities you gain as you get older plus just being more jaded and cynical of life. Maybe if I could just appreciate games as what they are instead of what I want them to be, I’d appreciate gaming more. I think it in large part is due to how much of an impact some games’ stories had on me as a kid / teenager.

FF8 is a great example. I was a moody teenager and related to Squall some. His story of eventually coming to terms with his past and opening up really resonated with me. If I tried to play FF8 now without being cognizant of my mindset, I’d just look at some of the inconsistencies of the plot or how some characters annoy me. I’m aware more of how things work in life and it’d detract from my focus on what resonated with me going through it the first time.

Maybe the best way to enjoy video games is to take better care of ourselves, physically and mentally. Easier said than done, but do your best, don’t just dismiss the suggestion. We may not play games as much if we try to better ourselves, but our time with them will be better spent and enjoyed so much more.
