Mmmm I think people need to do more studying, USBC to 3.5 mm will be the same as the headphone jack, not all mobiles have the same quality audio out, try what you have around you with the same headphones. Are you playing aiff wav MP3. That will make a big difference. Wired is better if possible,. And balanced is even, better,. Try using a fiio q5s with the am3d thx AAA and a good set of headphones,. You will be amazed

How about Pixel 3a ? Does it sound better via 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Boombox speaker in the LG V & G Series is pretty f****** cool

  5. pepe6666 on March 11, 2021 at 12:30 am

you really speak the truth here in this video. there is a HUGE amount of garbage that people simply do not talk about in smartphone review videos. this is probably the most ruthlessly honest and well.. important – video on smartphone audio ive seen to date.

Blackberry Z30 best sounding smartphone ever built

  7. Yuhd Wildan on March 11, 2021 at 12:31 am

I totally agree with that, my consider to buy a phone is the audio, and the priority is smartphone with 1. Jack audio 2. Have dedicated DAC. I use Meizu pro 7 btw😂

I think Apple’s USB-C to 3.5mm jack adapter is the most universal one.

  10. Kevin Barrow on March 11, 2021 at 12:33 am

    Great video… thx so much.
No G8? It seems as though it covered the headphone and DAC?
I’ve been trying to find direct comparisons with G8 & V40… tough. (Not the speaker but the dac and the quality powering of higher headphones)
Also tricking the phone with a 3.5 mm to 3.5mm adapter with LG? Much much better performance.
Thanks again for the videos and #bringthejackback!

I have seen your best audio smartpone list ton website, but how about xperia xz3 and HTC 12+. Are these comparable. Is U12+ a good phone for audio, baterry, screen?

  12. Hedgehog's Right of Passage on March 11, 2021 at 12:35 am

I bought the S10+ Samsung Galaxy, not needing the good camera ,etc etc. but for audio. Am thinking of giving it to my daughter. I LOVE music and only listen to my long YouTube music lists. So, as long as i buy a phone with a jack and it pushes the power, can I get by on a cheap phone?

  13. MANASYt on March 11, 2021 at 12:35 am

I’m on the LG V50, G6 before, unmatched! 😉 Too bad the V60 isn’t avalable here…and the new Velvet dropped the Quad DAC. Let’s what’s next!

  14. jackelofnar on March 11, 2021 at 12:36 am

If you care about audio you would only buy a lg phone

  15. Ahmed Abbas on March 11, 2021 at 12:41 am

Bad bad vid. Pointless and nonsense

  18. Şafak on March 11, 2021 at 12:42 am

Very weak presentation. You didn’t even mention crosstalk, THD+, white noise. For example iPhone XS and 11 Pro/Pro Max has best bass line. The others are bs. Sorry but facts. What a shame. I should have been there and making this video with a lot of things for audiophile/music lovers.

If a smartphone doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack, then I am no longer interested.

  22. Hedgehog's Right of Passage on March 11, 2021 at 12:50 am

I have about 7 thousand various songs on my YouTube music list. If I use a $359 Sennheiser earphone with this, will I hear good quality audio? I’m thinking of buying a simple Nokia 2. Do various phone have different levels of audio? Thanks

  23. Dark Meta on March 11, 2021 at 12:51 am

    man
You’re just talking about play back. I was hoping this was about the actual audio specs and DSP. disappoint.
    what’s the point of this

  26. Anders Ljungberg on March 11, 2021 at 12:54 am

There is a 24-bit adapter that connects to the mobile phone’s USB input. Similarly, there is a 24-bit adapter that you can connect to the lighting input of an iPhone. however, they cost more than the standard adapter

  32. Chac Mool on March 11, 2021 at 1:00 am

What makes a video great at visuals?
Sufficient light. Why is this video so amateurishly dark? Good grief!

  33. Raymond Ravesteijn on March 11, 2021 at 1:00 am

You didnt say anything about front facing speakers or even more important; stereo speakers, which absolutely sound better, still crap, but better nontheless.

  34. nasrul mubarak on March 11, 2021 at 1:00 am

this is video that i’m lookin’ for

  35. Bobby Garrity on March 11, 2021 at 1:01 am

I currently have the LG V40 and the Quad DAC is really something else! I use the Side to Side surround setting and the Short digital filter which combine for a crazy immersive experience! In fact they’ve spoiled me; if I listen to music on any other phone-not to mention Bluetooth- music sounds flat and unalive, even with the same headphones!

If you’re someone who has a pair of quality headphones and considers listening to music to be a pastime, then I would highly recommend an LG phone with a jack and their Hi-Fi Quad Dac.

  36. Francis Taquin on March 11, 2021 at 1:02 am

    V35 audio is 🤮 But V30 is PERFECT !

  37. Shyanoda on March 11, 2021 at 1:04 am

    Business Opportunity in Ruvol

I have invented a Board Game [still unpublished and not yet out in the market] that I believe is guaranteed to be as challenging and exciting as CHESS. I called it “RUVOL.”

It is my hope that one day Ruvol may surpass chess as the “Number One Board Game in the World.”

The weakness of chess is it always starts in fixed positions that the opening moves become “memorizable.” In fact, not a few have so mastered the moves that they can play against their opponents “blindfolded.” It is for this very reason that the great Bobby Fischer introduced his so-called “Fischer Random Chess,” where the starting position of the pieces is “randomized” to make the memorization of openings impracticable. Fortunately, it is also for this reason that I invented Ruvol where “every game” has been calculated to be a challenging one to play.

HOW IS RUVOL PLAYED and HOW YOU CAN MONETIZE IT?

I detailed everything in my YouTube video. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcqth0m3-R0

    BIG MONEY POTENTIAL IN RUVOL!

It is worthwhile to note that the people who play chess will be the same people who will play Ruvol. In my Google search, I learned there are around 800 million chess players in the world. Even just a small percentage of these 800 million is good enough to earn big money from Ruvol either as an ONLINE GAME BUSINESS or as a PHYSICAL PRODUCT DISTRIBUTOR.

You may contact me at: rodolfovitangcol@gmail.com.

    Thanks and God bless!

    RODOLFO MARTIN VITANGCOL
    The Ruvol Inventor

  45. jimmy James on March 11, 2021 at 1:15 am

This is a STUPOD video.. Obviously you can use headphones to listen better… We are talking louder and crispy.. WTF

  46. HyperOptic Productions on March 11, 2021 at 1:16 am

It’s also important to point out that most new smartphones don’t have built-in ground loop isolation like the HTC One M8 did.

Running a new smartphone through an amplified hi-fi deck will cause speaker-destroying pops and that oh-so-fun 60hz chainsaw buzz.

Sure, you can buy a ~$10 device that will isolate ground hum, but shouldn’t your $500+ smartphone have that built in?

  47. Dillon Sukram on March 11, 2021 at 1:17 am

3:10 if you have a usb-c to 3.5 mm jack adapter you’ll be fine

  48. ilham çelik on March 11, 2021 at 1:19 am

I have been searching for headphone jack output audio quality for years . But all I get this kind of meaningless videos. Everyone knows that a phone speaker isn’t powerfull enough to drive music detailed and powerful sufficiently.
Man we want to a headphone output comparison. Will anybody get it?

  49. Jishan2511 on March 11, 2021 at 1:21 am

I had the lg v40 and tried several headphones but sound was just plain. No feelings of music at all. It’s mainly about how they tune the audio and power doesn’t mean everything. One can have high power but rubbish quality.
