I bought a laptop for university that i also play on, but it only as a HDMI port (that the 144hz don´t work on my monitor), so will an adapter HDMI/DVI do the work or not really? couldnt find someone with the same problem :/ hope you know the answer

Late but I believe for PS5 and Xbox series x or s with HDMI 1.4 you get 1080p 120hz with HDMI 2.0 you get 1440p 120hz and with HDMI 2.1 you get 4k 120hz hopefully this helps
