I watch many videos about OSs, because wallpaper of many of them are so great! I find and download them. Then, I add them to my slideshow wallpaper folder of my Windows 11. 😉

I am new in linux and start using Garuda as my primery operating system.

  6. Lecros248 on January 15, 2022 at 4:07 pm

Garuda wants to look like MacOs, Elementary and the others want to look like Windows .. Try Arch distributions like for example EndeavorOs or Manjaro or Arcolinux with the Kde desktop. What is the point of wanting to switch from Windows or MaxOs to linux if it has to be the same?
Bravo for this very well done intro

    openbox.

  14. Reso Factor on January 15, 2022 at 4:20 pm

Garuda Linux is still my favorite of this list

  15. Richard on January 15, 2022 at 4:20 pm

great vid thx. Good to hear about the history too. A big problem with many distros is that they are themed desktops not distros at all. Many are staffed by 1 or 2 devs only.

  16. Roberts Karimovs on January 15, 2022 at 4:20 pm

Dark mode had come to Linux long before it comes to Windows or macOS.

  17. Shubham on January 15, 2022 at 4:22 pm

Does Deepin Linux support Ubuntu applications?
_I mean can I install all software I use in Ubuntu on Deepin?_
Does Deepin Linux use same *sudo* command as in Ubuntu?

  18. Daniel Guerrero on January 15, 2022 at 4:22 pm

Tried many distros, but couldn’t get deepin to install

  19. Gjermund Gusland Thorsen on January 15, 2022 at 4:25 pm

Cool thoughts! Personally I find the playability( including responsetimes ) and intuitivity way more important than those of the looks themselves. If I was to configure a linux desktop for a regular user I would install Bodhi or Solus. For myself I use arch w/i3/tmux/vim, I have moksha set as one of the workspaces.

  20. Prestige player1 on January 15, 2022 at 4:25 pm

Thank you, great video great presentation. I liked Zorin for my needs the most but will try others also.

  24. Deep Soul on January 15, 2022 at 4:28 pm

Feren looks inspiring, as a KDE Neo and ex Pop Os user.

  25. Eco Hill on January 15, 2022 at 4:31 pm

The software makes more confusion. ..

What I hate is different version of same thing like piece of clothes and choices is hard to understand and have to listen the sales person who is selling certain product…

  26. ExtraTNT on January 15, 2022 at 4:32 pm

this is just how the default config looks… you can compare rices, but you should not compare distros based on looks… you can do the same with a normal gentoo, arch or debian installation…

  27. MUKESH RAI on January 15, 2022 at 4:33 pm

Zorin should be on Rank 1 due to his user friendly nature. It is recommended for Windows and Mac both user. Any ne personal can easily use this.

  28. merlin1964 on January 15, 2022 at 4:33 pm

I would not have put Deepin in this list. I did not find it’s style appealing.

  29. Snehasis Nandi on January 15, 2022 at 4:33 pm

    thats the fucking cool intro

  30. Manav Sehgal on January 15, 2022 at 4:37 pm

You make good videos but you make very less of them.
You might be busy in your life but you should consider making more videos as you make quality videos and I like to watch your videos.

  31. Almost Mad Boys on January 15, 2022 at 4:37 pm

I think Zorin OS is much better than all the other four.

  32. NxZ Thelinuxguy on January 15, 2022 at 4:38 pm

  36. David Underwood on January 15, 2022 at 4:45 pm

Why start your intro music at full blast then whisper through your video?

  37. IdiotSandWich on January 15, 2022 at 4:47 pm

  39. Asif Shamsi on January 15, 2022 at 4:47 pm

Dear Linux people please emphasize on making good software like MS Office and Adobe not just good looking desktop. People buy computer for their tasks.

  40. Ghislain Laframboise on January 15, 2022 at 4:48 pm

1.1. Gb not memory extensive ! Really my old P.C. has 1 GB or RAM 700 K was too much ! I run under 400 M Desktop.

  41. Shane Davenport on January 15, 2022 at 4:48 pm

Garuda Linux is a total mess. It puts a great reliance on the Chaotic-AUR repository which results in a mess. You can disable the Chaotic-AUR but when you do you can no longer get updates for Garuda specific programs as well as other programs. Also the Chaotic-AUR has very very slow download speeds.

  42. Maksim Sergeevich on January 15, 2022 at 4:49 pm

I work with Linux since version 2.6 (around 199x) on servers, but only around three years ago I went to Deepin desktop. I use Deepin since then, but will try Elementary OS on another partition to see. Thank you.

  45. felipe batista on January 15, 2022 at 4:52 pm

"Deeping Linux" is Beautiful, really very beautiful

  46. Chris on January 15, 2022 at 4:53 pm

Did you have alot of dust and grime in you mic? Could barely hear you. The majority of themes are available in or to install in most Linux distros. Of course depending on gnome, cinnamon, mate etc.

  47. SoulRollerFIN on January 15, 2022 at 4:54 pm

Garuda’s only bad thing looks-wise is Latte-Dock. The thing is so damn buggy. Luckily it’s easily replaced by anything you like. I prefer the icon-only task manager on the middle of my top panel.

  48. Vaxu on January 15, 2022 at 4:54 pm

Deepin has the prettiest taskbar, I love it.

  49. piyush anand on January 15, 2022 at 4:55 pm

The biggest problem with elementary os is that it does not have a minimize button by default…

  50. Jimi Arisandi on January 15, 2022 at 4:55 pm

what about my kde neon . wich one was best.
