The best Linux laptops of 2021 seem to be a fantastic alternative to Windows 10 or macOS.

In other words, if you want a laptop with open-source software, you don’t have to install Linux yourself or settle for clunky, low-powered laptops.

There is a slew of compelling reasons to upgrade to one of the best laptops for Linux: Linux is free and open-source, and it can run faster than Windows 10 on older hardware. It’s also less vulnerable to malware than Windows, so you might find it more stable.

I was thinking about buying an Acer after trying my mom’s computer who uses Arch. Was running so smooth even though my laptop specs are much better.

Acer Swift 3 has been a solid performer since 2016!!! Still an excellent choice in 2021!

If you planning to run Linux on a laptop, stay away from the new Thinkpads. Lots of issues with it and the BIOS/Firmware team don’t give a shit about it. (not responding at all on a long list of complaints). Linux certification is a sham and battery life is so much shorter then advertised. Lots of complaints and anger from very loyal Thinkpad customers. Read also about how Lenovo is handling warranty claims! Before you buy a Thinkpad, wait for a few months and then check out the Lenovo Forum (google it). Just after the first issues are discussed. Take advantage of reading other customers "great" experiences.

All laptops are Linux laptops. Just delete Windware/OSUX and install your favourite distro instead. It’s only hard to find laptops with Linux preinstalled for sale.

Acer Swift 3 and Thinkpad T490/s seems to be good choice, so far they deliver a long battery life. Having Ubuntu on t450s it runs perfect, but the battery life is not good. Except this, it is the best device and fun to work with.

I couldn’t find a decent Linux laptop (nothing is available right now). I had to return an expensive ($3,000) custom build due to a design flaw with the mechanical keyboard (the switch is at the bottom of the key, so if you don’t tap the key "correctly", it will "click", but not register the keystroke). In the end, I purchased a refurbished Dell Precision 7720 (still waiting for delivery).

    Lenovo t490 owner here.
Bought the machine specifically for Linux, but the experience was a disaster and less than a year later I’ve migrated to Windows with WSL2.

    1. Webcam microphone was very quite in Linux.
    2. Speakers (which are definitely not strong thing in this laptop) were even quiter in Linux.
    3. Touchpad acceleration curve was different and it was a nightmare – trying to move cursor just a few pixels became almost impossible.
    4. Card reader didn’t work in Linux.
    5. Fingerprint scanner didn’t work in Linux.

The carbon does not have a reversible monitor, they confused it with the Yoga which costs about $300 more. This video is a nightmare all of the data is wrong

You are only showing Intel laptop but the market is AMD !

So where we AMD customers will go because Intel ME is literally a privacy tracker and we hate Intel for many reasons….

And when it comes to budget Intel never agrees! 😂

So AMD is only option for poor people and budget people and no AMD laptops in your list??!

Kindly help out and make a separate video on budget AMD laptops with Linux!
