Yeah no, HP’s "service" isn’t innovative, it’s invasive.
Why are printers the one thing companies can’t get right? After all these years they haven’t got a solid solution to printing problems?
IMO, for maintenance like dried ink printhead, the Canon G7020 seems to be the best as it’s the easiest replaceable component like just replacing a printer cartridge. The MFC-J995DW doesn’t seem to let you touch anything inside of it other than just inserting more ink into the ink reservoir. I’ve used CISS a lot and the Canon G7020 seems to have the best solution to the air bubble in the line&dried printhead issue. Overall the G7020’s worth the investment considering that they’re using the latest type of printhead from their regular printers. Unfortunately, Canon’s got a problem with the greyscale¬ scanning for AIO when the ink is out. That’s more of an intentional designed problem built into the firmware to force ppl to buy new ink cartridges. Do you know if the greyscale in other printers in this list uses black or a mix of other colors to print the black in greyscale printing?

Those jet pro printers are scams. You can’t print black and white if your colour ink is low. You need colour ink to be able to print black and white.

I had a Canon Pixma. I’m not a heavy user but It only lasted for 18 months. Their tech support didn’t want to have anything to do with "fixing" it. Now when I hear the word "Canon" I put my garlic necklace on.
I am here looking to replace my HP Inkjet 3630 All in one printer. It eats up ink without you even using the printer. You waste more ink setting up the printer and it printing out get started pages. Now HP wants you to register your printer with there HP Smart desktop app in order for you to use the printer(scan, print). By far the worst printing experience I’ve had.

Unfortunately at #4 you have HP. I will never buy any HP product again since they dumped all-in-one users because Adobe discontinued a program necessary for hp to function, when pressed their solution was ‘BUY A NEWER ALL-IN-ONE’.

I tried to get this (TR8520) printer (beginning around the time this video came out), but alas, it was no longer available — not even from the Canon website! I finally ended up buying the TR8620, which is similar, but does not have as high a rating as its predecessor.

Their customer support is very slow to respond and just gives copy and pasted answers without even reading customer’s reply. Has Canon come out with a mega tank that has the replaceble waste cartridges ? When I got my Canon Pixma G3200 I thought my printer dreams had come true, but, after about 2 years yesterday , I got the error code 5BOO. The canon printers before 2020 are set to pretty much die after a year or two. Canon has listened and strarted making their printers with replaceble waste ink cartridges. So, now, I am searching for those printers.
Just putting it out there (FROM EXPREIENCE), HP has by far the worst connection I have ever seen. The printer I have is a decent and new printer but the amount of ink it eats in a month alone costs more than twice the printer itself, and it literally takes a minute just to connect to the internet every time it is used. Same with some other HP products I am not being biased, just have had a bad experience with them every time I went with them.
The HP or all hp printers stop printing if any print catridge reach half way.
