I decided on the Audioengine b1 and have had it for a few days. I use it with a iphone and Marantz 2215. I find that I have to adjust my tone controls when using the unit or it will be a little bass heavy, but not sure why. Any suggestions? Would the Zen blue be any better with this issue? I keep my tone controls straight up.

I use my Apple iPhone to stream music to my vintage receiver I just need a good Bluetooth receiver to hook to it that handles a AC, what do you recommend

  13. Martyn Lewis on December 10, 2021 at 2:03 pm

I’m contemplating purchasing the Ifi Zen Blue V2 Bluetooth DAC to use in my hifi set up. I have a Marantz Melody X. M-CR612 which has Bluetooth functionality built in but I’m supposing (hoping?) that this will give better overall performance.

Hi Mike. I have a Yamaha A-S2200 integrated analogue amplifier with no digital or optical inputs. Do I get the full benefit of these blue tooth receivers when I use my amps analogue inputs? My primary listening is CD and phono. I just wish to use Spotify from my phone to amp occassionally. Thank you.

  18. Tyler Becker on December 10, 2021 at 2:10 pm

I have a question about the systems if I were to get one. I have a Bluetooth cd player/Bluetooth radio in my camper. I also have marine speakers mounted outside wired to the radio. The Bluetooth range on the radio is trash at the most lol only 10 feet. So will one of these work if I wanted to connect it via Bluetooth to the radio and still be connected to play music from my phone. Any help is greatly appreciated thanks.

Nice presentation. With these new generation devices, would it be still be true to say that Bluetooth are inferior to Wifi receivers, or would the sound quality be imperceptible?

Zen Bluetooth has a new V2 version. How much better is it?

  23. Mark Fritzler on December 10, 2021 at 2:18 pm

    Hi Mike,
Excellent channel! I am looking to receive Bluetooth from a new 4K TV to a Yamaha stereo receiver. In your experience, which of these units have the lowest latency to reduce or eliminate video/audio sync issues?
    Thx!

Love my BluDento HD which I use for Amazon Music HD hooked up to my Pioneer A-616 Reference integrated amp. Don’t find it to be bright at all.

I am looking for a blue tooth adapter for a Bose Wave IV system. Got one for Christmas but didn’t get the soundtouch pedestal. Which bluetooth adapter would you recommend.

  29. jeoffer on December 10, 2021 at 2:23 pm

Hi, I may be missing something, can you please explain why I would buy a Bluetooth device costing over a hundred dollars and upwards when the $15 Bluetooth transmitter/receiver I bought on eBay is working fine?

  30. Doug Warren on December 10, 2021 at 2:23 pm

Question. Statement first. I do not like flashing lights of Bluetooth devices screaming, “I am here!” Do these units flash insistently?

  31. O. Onti on December 10, 2021 at 2:24 pm

Thanks for the video . I’m getting the iFi. I’m using a Yamaha A/V receiver. Should I connect with RCA or optical for best sound ?

  32. Vladimir Buzhinskiy on December 10, 2021 at 2:25 pm

I bought this two days ago https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08NCXZHRB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=. I know very well what a good quality sound is. For me, this Bluetooth DAC plays better than a CD. Better detail, depth of the scene, and clearer musical images. I did not expect that you can listen to music via Bluetooth in such a quality. Connected via analog output. In the phone settings for LDAC are 32 bits 96 kHz.

  33. A. P. on December 10, 2021 at 2:26 pm

Nice video range would have been a plus.

  34. Олег Азизов on December 10, 2021 at 2:26 pm

What do you think about XDUOO XQ-50 Pro? Will it be better than Ifi Audio Zen Blue?

  35. Sam L on December 10, 2021 at 2:27 pm

I have the Blt Hd & Zen blue, both are awesome but zen blue seems to sounds better, maybe just in my head or maybe because it look better…

  36. Jonathan Cohen on December 10, 2021 at 2:27 pm

I believe the Audioengine supports AirPlay over WiFi with higher quality audio output streaming from iPhone than Bludento over Bluetooth. Anyone have a comment about that?

  37. Ayni Peru on December 10, 2021 at 2:30 pm

Excuse my English. I want to ask if there is any difference regarding the digital optical or coaxial output of the bluethooth receivers. I have an external dac that I would like to complement. I hope you have understood me and can give me an answer. Thanks

    Great video, thanks…clear and precise

  39. spellacy29 on December 10, 2021 at 2:32 pm

I have the ifi Zen Blue and it’s excellent. It comes with a power supply but I have mine connected to the 5v output on the back of my amp, so it turns on and off with the amp.

  40. timgraysontv on December 10, 2021 at 2:32 pm

Blume HD with codec AptX HD is rated better than CD quality. I use this with my Samsung 9, it only has the standard AptX, which is CD quality. Love it!

  41. Nicolas Borgiani on December 10, 2021 at 2:33 pm

Hi, the Blu one, if you give it power, you have to press power button to turn on? Or turn on automatically? Thank you

  42. Dorothyinstead on December 10, 2021 at 2:33 pm

May i ask for some of your personal knowledge in this area? Would I still need to install an external DAC after the Bluetooth receiver if sending music data from iPhone or iTunes laptop? My aim is to get hi res audio into integrated receiver and out to quality speakers. Much gratitude in advance, Robert.

  43. John Smith on December 10, 2021 at 2:33 pm

What he misses is that the USB powered units can work without a power block right off the computer, no outlet necessary. PS turn down that godawful music at the closing. Please.

  44. James MacIntyre on December 10, 2021 at 2:35 pm

So which would be best. For Harman Kardon. With nuance speakers I wonder. Leaning to. If Zen

  45. Buddhist Peace on December 10, 2021 at 2:35 pm

My problem is when using optical output I can’t control volume using BT headphones. Also when I use 3.5mm jack instead of the optical. I get audio lag
