Top 25 Greatest Games of 2018 (Including our Game of the Year)
After the stellar lineup of games we got to enjoy throughout 2017, you might have been forgiven for thinking that 2018 would be a bit more subdued- we certainly did. We could not have been more wrong. 2018 started strong, delivering one excellent game after another right from the get go. In the first half of the year, we were treated to at least one amazing game each month, and as the year progressed, it gathered pace, until going absolutely berserk in the back half, which was littered with a string of stellar releases. From indies to AAA games, from new IPs to stunning sequels, across all genres, over the last twelve months, we’ve gotten to play numerous games that are nothing short of generation-defining.
Picking out any set number of games out of such an incredible lineup is always a tough task, and ranking them is even tougher. But that’s what we’re going to do here. We’ll be taking a look back at the entirety of 2018, and picking out 25 of our favourite games of the year, counting down from #25, right down to #1, our game of the year for 2018.

Personally I find Detroit: Become Human as the best game released in 2018. There’s only a few games that actually made me feel really emotional. Plus because of how much work was put into this game, I have no problems with Detroit being the greatest game of 2018. It’s finally a game where our choices matter, we really feel the characters and their problems, there are many endings and every detail is amazing. I hope for more games / interactive movies like Detroit, and I don’t understand why so many people hates David Cage. I just hope… that someday people will realize how amazing Detroit really is.

Marvels Spiderman is game of the year 2018. I don’t need to watch this to know considering the hype of Avengers and Marvel and out of tribute. It really wasn’t a contest was it.

I don’t like the first 15 they compare really bad with really good games
Although loving Red Dead having over 3000 hours on the original, I think the story although amazing lacked at a few parts such as chapter 5 I didn’t enjoy to much, apart from that I felt the story was incredible. However I think me and many original Red Dead players can agree that the online mode lacked a lot compare to the original, and the game feels a bit laggy and glitchy at times. For me god of war was a masterpiece and its story was flaw less, I don’t think there was apart I did not enjoy so there for it’s my games of the year.

In my opinion 2018 was the best year for gaming I played so many games in 2018. Spider-Man ps4 was a amazing open world game with great web swinging and combat and pretty good character development in the story, God Of War had amazing combat a great story and of course great character and the Norse mythology was cool, And finally Red Dead Redemption 2 also had a great story obviously and the world-building was excellent i good go on I loved 2018 for games, 2020 got good games and the ps5 was really good but with the pandemic and all the other problems it doesn’t come close to 2020 in terms of games
