Advice: Never follow trends go with what you like.and use your own style not some designer’s style.

  2. Andrew on January 15, 2021 at 3:12 am

really ugly kitchens. what the hell is going on….

  3. Juan Salas on January 15, 2021 at 3:14 am

Q: What advice do you have on painting kitchen cabinets on the inside? Would Contact paper or paint be better? We’re about to re-do ours and would like to know any tips.

  4. Aireen Krizea Clarete on January 15, 2021 at 3:15 am

You’ll look more gorgeous if you’ll fancy replacing your eyeglass frame with something round.
I don’t think rectangular frame suits you. It makes you look older. 💕

  7. Mr Obscure Universe on January 15, 2021 at 3:19 am

Do kitchen designers know how to cook? Their designs make no sense.

  8. Carol Newman on January 15, 2021 at 3:19 am

    Thank you Lisa!!!

  9. Denise Please on January 15, 2021 at 3:19 am

Would love to hit the ceiling with cabinets, but I have vaulted ceilings. However, I’m always looking for new ways to work with this ceiling type.

  10. crystal montano on January 15, 2021 at 3:21 am

how do you deal with angled ceilings and cabinets on that wall?

  11. Deiry Velazquez on January 15, 2021 at 3:22 am

I’ve been binge watching your videos. They’re super helpful, but I need to know why you don’t like black countertops. I just bought a house and I’m in the process of updating the kitchen but have been struggling with deciding what countertops to get. I was going to go for black (I bought white cabinets) but now I’m second guessing myself.

  12. Cindy Perez on January 15, 2021 at 3:23 am

love, love love your content. can you do a video on under cabinet lighting?

  13. Hawaiiansky11 on January 15, 2021 at 3:25 am

Black in the kitchen makes me thing of mold.

  14. Andrew Garai on January 15, 2021 at 3:26 am

    Very nice.

  15. Carol Dolan on January 15, 2021 at 3:27 am

If you set this at 1.5 speed…it’s hysterical!!! Great ideas…thanks! Working on kitchen re-do!

  16. Yenniffer Anthony on January 15, 2021 at 3:29 am

i like the tall cabinets but my ceelings are low. is frustrating to me

  17. merry hunt on January 15, 2021 at 3:30 am

Marble absorbs stains. Don’t use it in your kitchen if you do any cooking or even make jelly sandwiches.

  18. V Den on January 15, 2021 at 3:33 am

You have a great personality! I would absolutely love to do your hair, I’m sitting here designing it because of your terrific face shape, skin tone and glasses.
I’m going to have to watch again for the cabinets Lol

  19. Grace &Faith on January 15, 2021 at 3:34 am

    You are so charismatic 😍😍😍😍😍.

  20. Mitch Johnson on January 15, 2021 at 3:35 am

Open shelving was inspired by Satan.

  21. Sarah Martinez on January 15, 2021 at 3:37 am

Can you do a video about deciding on cabinet-countertop-tile-paint combos for bathrooms and kitchens?

  22. dusky rose on January 15, 2021 at 3:38 am

Watching video, organizing shelves:)) I love the honesty, the experience and the concise way of presenting interesting themes, that you and your team bring in every video. Like like!

Where did you get your black t-shirt blouse?

  24. Midlife Mom on January 15, 2021 at 3:39 am

Hello Lisa, design dilemna question. Do u leave open space above kitchen cabinets clear or do u place decor above? I have a white kitchen—shaker cabs, quartz countertops, marble sub tiles. I have open space above kitchen cabinets. I am more transitional in style taste. Its empty right now. Love your channel!!!!

  28. To whom it May Concern on January 15, 2021 at 3:43 am

Some of these trends are beautiful but not cozy. I prefer cozy. And these kitchens are huge!

  29. Carol Ann on January 15, 2021 at 3:45 am

Great advice on having light floor with dark cabinets. Plus more lighting. I WAS considering it.

  30. Ruth Carter on January 15, 2021 at 3:45 am

Kitchen knobs can also be done by your local Artist Blacksmith. These are really talented people who could create something custom for your kitchen.

  31. Sam Jafarian on January 15, 2021 at 3:47 am

sorry but the OTT personality is too much to watch the entire the video.

  32. JJ Cgull on January 15, 2021 at 3:48 am

hi Lisa! i really love the way you introduce design styles, colors, and trends, even to beginners like me! it’s captivating and inspiring and empowering too!! i wonder if you could talk about sintered stone dekton and neolith for kitchen countertop one of these days? why am i not seeing it more in the united states? seems like it’s all over the rest of the world already 😀

  33. CJHS SHJC on January 15, 2021 at 3:48 am

Over the moon that l found you. Your videos are brilliant, your energy is inspiring. Have to agree with you, kitchen cupboards must go up to the ceilings. Thank you for sharing 💐.

  34. Shelley Creed on January 15, 2021 at 3:49 am

I love your videos! Just wanted to suggest someone who is on Instagram – Lori @whiteflowerfarmhouse. She has an excellent tutorial on bleaching wood. She has an old home on LI and she has used the process to turn some ho hum wood into AH MAZING TAKE YOUR BREATH AWAY!!! wood. Her Instagram account is worth a visit. Again, thank you for such fun tips!

  35. Kevin Ireland on January 15, 2021 at 3:50 am

OK. Im doing a full remodel of the kitchen, removing walls, big job. But I can not decide on counter depth frig with panels (big expense) or keeping my large french door frig that will stick out. I’m looking for thoughts here?

  36. Christine Braconnier on January 15, 2021 at 3:51 am

I’ve never like the idea of floating shelves.

  37. Reinhardt Zimmermann on January 15, 2021 at 3:51 am

I’d like your ideas on toe kicks and kickplates – what’s trending and what’s functional. Cabinets down to the floor or open? Great tips – love the wood look.

  38. Mitch Johnson on January 15, 2021 at 3:52 am

It’s possible that I misunderstand the physics of the range hoods, but it seems to me like a waste of space to have them that wide all the way up. They only need to be that wide at the base to cover the range, but above that, they can taper, can’t they? It seems like you could make better use of that space once they taper, but they do look so nice that perhaps it’s better to get the nice look than to have yet more storage space.

I will say that range hoods that come down over an island are terrible, mostly.

  39. Diane Thompson on January 15, 2021 at 3:52 am

I don’t like the backsplash out of the same stone as the counter top. I guess I like to see where one ends and the next begins! It would also be kind of busy to decorate. My opinion of course!
My sister had forestgreen counter tops with god faucets and hardware. It looked really glamourus, but she hated them, because they showed every crumb and lots of water spots!!

  40. Rita Knipper on January 15, 2021 at 3:52 am

    Girl, I love your enthusiasm!

  41. dora the explorer on January 15, 2021 at 3:53 am

    Open shelves honesty… 👍

  42. Crissy Knight usa on January 15, 2021 at 3:56 am

    Loud!

  43. Angie on January 15, 2021 at 3:57 am

Open shelfing is out. To dirty to much dust, just not practical out the window.

  44. Nola S on January 15, 2021 at 4:00 am

Great video thank you Lisa! I am obsessed with the brass range hood with vertical ribbing. Where can I find a photo of that so that I can show my kitchen designer?

  45. Random Dude on January 15, 2021 at 4:00 am

I have 9′ ceilings on the first floor. I raised the builder cabinets to the ceiling, and then put open wood shelving right below the cabinets.

  46. Athena Antal on January 15, 2021 at 4:00 am

Hi Lisa! Just found this video. I’m refreshing my Tuscan cherry cabinet kitchen with the brown speckled granite. You know the one. Was thinking of soapstone counters for durability with little kids instead of marble. I prefer natural materials. But I remember hearing you say you don’t like dark countertops – I want to hear more! Do you think light cabinets with the dark counters is too trendy?

  47. KSV on January 15, 2021 at 4:02 am

My favorite kitchen is the one with the grey cabinets and yellow chairs that looks glam! It’s my dream kitchen!

  48. Jessica Malloway on January 15, 2021 at 4:03 am

I just discovered this channel!!! I’ve been looking for good videos about design trends! Loving the advice about using black! And also open cabinets/shelves. I thought the exact same thing about them! Reality check.

  49. Mitch Johnson on January 15, 2021 at 4:03 am

Thank heaven we are starting to take the cabinets to the ceiling. It looks so much better. I’ve wanted this ever sine I was a teenager. Too bad I won’t be getting it any time soon because I just bought a new house.

The multiple-island thing is a bad idea. It just makes it too hard to walk around them all. That last picture kind of works, but parallel islands doesn’t because now you have to walk a maze to get around them.

  50. Joygernaut M on January 15, 2021 at 4:06 am

The best advice I ever got was to do exactly what you like and suit your needs and don’t worry about what’s trending. The only time you need to worry about trends as if you’re renovating to flip. Do what pleases you. And I love my very dark gray honed granite countertops… and I do not give a rats ass whether or not they are trendy.
