I know it’s not quite the same, but where is the Outer Wilds. The narrative in that game is fantastic!

  2. Antonia Stan on March 25, 2021 at 12:05 am

Didn’t expect to see Zero Escape on here!

  3. DEVILHUNTER-IQ on March 25, 2021 at 12:06 am

A plague tale gotta be number 1

  4. hairegu on March 25, 2021 at 12:06 am

Immediate Like when I saw Zero Escape being included! Few games’ stories have captured me like those games

  5. Matter? on March 25, 2021 at 12:08 am

Seriously, Life is Strange felt like a journey, one of the best I’ve ever played. I don’t know how good the second one is, didn’t really like the DLC.

  6. Diana Bacovis on March 25, 2021 at 12:08 am

I love 999 and Virtue’s Last Reward, but production problems kind of ruined the ending of the trilogy in Zero Time Dilema. My advice would be to play the first one and pretend it’s the last, as the second one leaves a huuuge cliffhanger to the third. Also, read the epilogue referring to the first game main character in Zero Time Dilema.

I don’t care, I love narrative games. Grim Fandango is available on PS4 so I have to count that.

    Nice 👍

  12. Gaias Guardian on March 25, 2021 at 12:18 am

2:55 a very fitting scene right here. ❤

  13. AdventQuest on March 25, 2021 at 12:18 am

If someone likes Zero Escape, you should also check out Danganronpa and Raging Loop, you will not regret it

  14. Călin H on March 25, 2021 at 12:21 am

Life is Strange has no business in a “best” list. Also this is more of a “no gameplay games” video

  15. Yu7Zi on March 25, 2021 at 12:21 am

Edith Finch for me had surprisingly more variation and unique experiences in it’s gameplay than I expected. The stories didn’t link and were a bit too much fantasy for me to get emotionally attached but overall still a nice experience and felt like playing a three hour interactive movie.

  16. Randy Bo on March 25, 2021 at 12:22 am

Are you trying to trigger me with a thumb nail of Life is Strange

  17. wahillyman on March 25, 2021 at 12:22 am

    Soma had everything

  18. Hessarian on March 25, 2021 at 12:24 am

I just want to say I really appreciate vids like this. I often am oblivious to game releases somehow. Vids like these help me discover new great games

  23. Priyangshu Saiba on March 25, 2021 at 12:27 am

The wolf among us would make a good addition to this

  25. Stan Palmerzan on March 25, 2021 at 12:27 am

I loved Telltale’s The Walking Dead series & the first Life Is Strange game even cried my eyes out at those games, did enjoy Until Dawn should really go back to that game & see if I can anything else different happen, gave Erica a go but it bored me so gave up on it. As for the other games on this list I’ve not played so not sure if they’re any good or not

  26. Local Boy on March 25, 2021 at 12:30 am

  29. Rasaayen Naidoo on March 25, 2021 at 12:37 am

Recently played Until Dawn and I really enjoyed it. Definitely will try to give this genre more of my time.

  30. Eddie MORALES on March 25, 2021 at 12:39 am

  31. Chris on March 25, 2021 at 12:39 am

I remember finishing everybody’s gone to the rapture and just being amazed, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Youghton just felt really familiar

  32. KabukiKid on March 25, 2021 at 12:40 am

Gone Home… far from new, but was great. I just recently picked up The Suicide of Rachel Foster during a sale because I like the setting… gives me a Shining vibe. heh I have yet to properly play it, though. I also got Kentucky Route Zero because a friend insisted I play it.

  33. Mole Shaman on March 25, 2021 at 12:41 am

Life is Strange : Before the Storm really gripped me , I really felt that I got to know and care about the characters and what happened to them. All the different elements that you could investigate made me feel like I too lived in Arcadia Bay and had gone to school with Rachel,Chloe,Steph,Mikey and the rest !

  34. Grey Warden Invasion on March 25, 2021 at 12:41 am

I guess Rob would have slapped you if you didn’t include What Remains of Edith Finch. XD
Except for Oxenfree I have already played all of them.

  35. Hessarian on March 25, 2021 at 12:41 am

I still haven’t played life is strange despite it being recommended so much to me and me liking that style of game. I think NOW is finally the time haha

  36. Kelsie H on March 25, 2021 at 12:44 am

The first telltale walking dead game is one of my all time favourites.

  37. PUBG mobile on March 25, 2021 at 12:45 am

Detroit is 5th gretest game of all time

  38. Kelsie H on March 25, 2021 at 12:45 am

    Oxenfree is amazing! So underrated!

  39. Susilordi on March 25, 2021 at 12:45 am

    The Wolf Among Us
    Heavy Rain
    Batman: Enemy Within
    Detroit: Become Human
    Oxenfree
    Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy
    Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

  40. KabukiKid on March 25, 2021 at 12:47 am

The Bunker is another FMV game like Erica. I haven’t played it yet, but I have heard good things.

  45. dina15droubi on March 25, 2021 at 12:57 am

No no no no no, Erica is the worst game especially getting the platinum.

  46. Aristaios on March 25, 2021 at 12:58 am

im so slacking on most of these the only one i finished was oxenfree loved the game but it was so weird

  47. Girl_on_Fire_X_x on March 25, 2021 at 12:59 am

Really enjoyed Firewatch and What Became of Edith Finch. The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter was alright too. But by far my favourite game of this genre was Everybody’s Gone to The Rapture. It was just beautiful and so well written – every interaction having a purpose. I just wanted to live in that gorgeous rural world. One of the few games that’s made me feel real emotion, and that’s partly down to the stunning soundtrack by Jessica Curry – Just 😚👌mwah

  48. Alex Xavier on March 25, 2021 at 12:59 am

    Always appreciate Nathan’s videos! Thanks.

  49. Mark Odayan on March 25, 2021 at 1:00 am

Wish I could wipe my memory and play Life is Strange and Firewatch again

  50. ShengVersus on March 25, 2021 at 1:02 am

Oxenfree was something else loved it
